21 Pearls?

I got a group e-mail from my university alumni chapter. One of the people on the list has the e-identity "21 pearls." Assuming that that is a badge, whose would it be?

AGD has 14.

Not Phi Mu, either. Pam could refresh our memories but I think the number of jewels on the Phi Mu badge is usually 24, but was 27 or so during the war.

Maybe Tri Sig? Anyone with the pearl as their official badge?

I'm pretty sure either AKA or DST has 21 pearls as an important part of their sororities.

Can't remember which one, though.

Sistermadly 09-10-2003 11:29 AM

AKA uses the phrase "Pretty girls wear 20 pearls" (or at least the AKA in my family does...).

DST has 9 :) but 22 founders. :)

AKA has 20 pearls as Sistermadly previously stated.

Isn’t “21 pearls of wisdom” one of those Mitch Axelrod corporate self-help books?

Greek badges which use (or have used) 21 pearls…

Alpha Xi Delta
Zeta Psi

Several groups attach esoteric significance to the number of pearls used, though these groups don't. ( as far as I know. ;) )

I could be wrong but I think that AEPhi has something with 21 pearls......can someone verfiy this?

texas*princess 09-10-2003 12:15 PM

I think DPhiE's pin has 21 pearls?

fire1977 09-10-2003 12:21 PM

yes it does!

we also complete 21 pearls with our PEARL program...

KillarneyRose 09-10-2003 01:41 PM

I thought I read in a badge thread that AEPhis have 21 pearls on their badge but I could be off.

wptw 09-10-2003 01:59 PM

27.

HotDamnImAPhiMu 09-10-2003 02:54 PM

wptw to the rescue!

but can he cook?

wptw 09-10-2003 03:06 PM

As a matter of fact...

HotDamnImAPhiMu 09-10-2003 03:09 PM

Krafteroni and Cheese =/= cooking.

wptw 09-10-2003 03:19 PM

Even if I add cut up hot dogs

Peaches-n-Cream 09-10-2003 03:27 PM

Yes the DPhiE badge has 21 pearls.

HotDamnImAPhiMu 09-10-2003 03:43 PM

AlphaXi4983 09-10-2003 08:06 PM

Actually SPAM is a tasty, nutritious addition to mac and cheese! I craved that when I was pregnant with Legacy #1 :)

None of the NPHC sororities have 21 pearls.

I've done tuna fish (homemade Tuna Helper :)), but never tried hot dogs or spam with my mac n cheese.

Reading that makes my stomach hurt :(

Peaches-n-Cream 09-12-2003 02:08 PM

So why am I suddenly thinking of Monty Python? SPAM :p ;)

DWAlphaGam 09-12-2003 02:15 PM

I nominate this as the most randomly hijacked thread ever.

HotDamnImAPhiMu 09-12-2003 02:18 PM

I second.

wptw 09-12-2003 02:38 PM

Well, since the hijacking's already been done...

At home I am often mocked for mixing mac & cheese together with barbecue baked beans. Do you think that's strange

wptw

P.S. I call it Mac'n'BBQCheezBeanies

33girl 09-12-2003 02:45 PM

The one I can't get past is ketchup on mac & cheese...but then the guy who did that is from Cleveland, so I don't know why I'm surprised. ;)

Peaches-n-Cream 09-12-2003 02:47 PM

I have had hotdogs, BBQ beans, and Mac-n-Cheese as separate dishes on one plate. They weren't intentionally mixed together, but sometimes they touched. It might taste good all mixed together. Now I am hungry.

That's how it always starts ;)

sounds gormet to me, but then, I'm the one who can't eat boxed pasta anymore because of a period in my life where boxed pasta was all I could afford.

although you know what's great? pad thai.

Amazing !! ever since I was little I loved that dish hehe =) but what's better than an actual hot dog is the little smikie sausages they have a little more flavor =)

PAD THAI is GREAT !! Almost my whole chapter is OBSESSED with Asian food of any sort... so very often late at night you will find several of us at one of the Thai Noodle places around here that stays open until like 3 o clock in the morning. It's a beautiful thing not to be limited to Denny's after a night of going out.
