Free Ringtones
 

Ok, so does anyone know where I can get like cool ringtones for free? I have a sprint phone and its such bs cause if we get ringtones they cost like 3.99 plus tax and it can only be used for 90 days. so if anyone knows any good sites that would be awesome!!! thanks a bunch!!

You pay $3.99? Aren't most ringtones on the Sprint website a $1.50? I've downloaded and purchased a few and it's cost just that and no tax. They say that it's only good for 90 days but the ones I downloaded last year are still working on my phone.

The crappy thing with Sprint is that free polyphonic ringtones are hard to find, unlike the tons that are out there for Nokia/Nextel, etc.

I actually found a site and like an idiot I forgot what it was...but if I find it I'll post it here.

I'm wondering the same thing for TMobile. I want to be the one guy at work with Prince or Michael Jackson on his phone.

I know what you mean. I'm the girl with "Like a Virgin", "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and "One Minute Man". Everyone knows who the ringtones are assigned to...especially the last one. Mwahahahaha.

My ringtone is currently "Heaven Is a Place on earth" by Belinda Carlisle. :cool: It cost me 99 cents though, if I knew where to get free ringtones I'd tell you but sadly I don't. :(

I paid $1.50 to Sprint to have Notorious BIG's "Big Poppa" as my ring tone. It was a $1.50 well spent....gets a good laugh out of people every time my phone rings.

Right now my phone just rings, but if I could find that one or the Harry Potter theme ring then I'd put those on.

When I had a Nokia with the ringtone composer I wentto Frostzone. They woul give you the composition for free. There's also a site called Zingy, but you have to pay to have those ringtones downloaded.

Now that I have a Nextel I bought a CD off of eBay that had tons of ringtones, wallpapers, and games for like $8.00.

It's a rare free site... to download the themes you'll need to go to http://www.polyphonicringtonez.com/wap (only works on your web-enabled phone, not off the regular browser) and select the ID nunber of the tone you wish to download. You can browse them first (though most do not have sound samples) on your regular web browser to get the tone ID.

These don't sound too bad... my ringtone is The James Bond Theme.

I just found out that US Suckular is finally letting us do this - we have to buy them but they're only a buck, which isn't too bad. I'm thinking "Just a Gigolo" would be a pretty happy ringtone. :)

I don't really mind paying for ONE tone that I am going to love and keep for a while. However my phone seems to only support the most RANDOM ringtones. I have a Siemens C56. It's cool because you can record your ringtones from live CDs and whatnot (it doesn't sound all THAT great) but as far as downloads go... I can get Fight Songs from AT&T and that's it. LAME!

So if anyone knows of a site that does ringtones for my phone, post away!

They only work for 90 days???? That is BS, I have AT&T and mine are anywhere from .99 to 1.99 and they are good as long as you have that phone.

First, you fill your "locker" with all the images and ringtones you want. They also have a tool that lets you import and resize your own images. You then enter their URL into your phone's browser. You enter your username/password and you're in your locker where you can download your images/ringtones/themes for free.

It's kind of tricky until you get the hang of it though.

I have a ringtone ripper through planetringtone.net. I create my own ringtones.

I have a Samsung phone through Verizon. Can I even get cool ringtones? I've tried before but I think I have screwed it up b/c they just don't seem to work.

This is the site I use. Unless you registered ages ago, you do have to pay a fee. I have Sprint and it's the only one of a few sites that I felt a fee was worth it.
