As a GSU student I want to wish our PHC the best of luck with Recruitment this year!!

I work at GSU as well and happened to see many excited faces in the Student Center :D yesterday. I'm sure they'll all find a great home in any of the sororities!

Thanks! I can't wait to see the updates! Good luck everyone :)

Best of luck to all the chapters! We don't have an AGD chapter at GSU, but we have a wonderful chapter at GTech, just down the street!:D

I was telling hubby the other day, I can't imagine going to college in downtown Atlanta, lol!! Glad y'all finally got dorms (Thanks Olympics, lol.)

Good luck to both the PNMs and the GLOs!!

First round is done! I think it went VERY VERY VERY well--lots of cute girls and I, personally, think my AOTT's were wonderful, though all the chapters at GSU are strong and good.There were no cuts last night, so all the same girls will be back for sisterhood night tonight. I'll let you know!

AOTTAdvisor 09-05-2003 01:44 PM

None of the sororities made cuts last night and none of the girls did either. Its nice because its such a no pressure round--you know you will always get a chance to see these AWESOME girls again!

this might sound weird...

but i was watching Real World and one of the guys, whose name is Ace, had his gf visit from GA. She had on a Zeta Tau Alpha shirt..and i think shes from GSU.

GSU = Georgia Southern University. :)

Txsurfinwaves 09-05-2003 04:29 PM

well he or she is from georgia state..i wasnt sure if there was a university attached to it.

Txsurfinwaves 09-05-2003 04:44 PM

I just realized that post made no sense. I think you are right- they are from Georgia Southren.

Sistermadly 09-05-2003 09:51 PM

GSU = Georgia STATE University
GaSoU = Georgia Southern

State was first. :D

As for whether anyone is cut first round: I was cut from 3 of the then 4 chapters at GSU after the first round. I didn't go back to the chapter that invited me back for the second because I got what might have been some bum advice.

Sistermadly 09-08-2003 03:47 AM

Any results from GSU to share?

AlphaXiGirl 09-08-2003 09:41 AM

Don't have all the details but...

I just heard from the Alpha Xi Delta chapter at GSU... sorry that I don't have all of the details but maybe other groups can post as well....

Quota was 15 and Alpha Xi Delta pledged quota!!!!

One chapter pledged quota + 1
Three chapters pledged quota
One chapter missed quota

AOTTAdvisor 09-08-2003 10:20 AM

Hello all! I am here to give recruitment updates for GSU(Georgia State!). Quota was 15 and AOTT, AZD, and ZTA all made quota. Phi Mu took quota plus one and Delta Zeta took 13. It was an EXTREMELY successful recruitment with most girls getting there first choice. It was so much fun to watch all the girls run out to their new sisters and homes and it made all the long nights and long days worth it. I HIGHLY reccomend to anyone that likes recruitment to look at being a recruitment advisor if you become an advisor for a chapter. Even if its not your own chapter(I am from a different chapter then the one I advise), it makes you realize how universal your sisterhood is and how you really do have sisters everywhere. It was wonderful and it made me even more proud to be an AOTT! Conrgats to everyone at GSU!!
