Yes, it's that time again. New season starts September 17th, and this time it should be very interesting to see how they deal with koi-gate.

I know we had a thread going for season one, and one about the news developments surrounding koi-gate, but figured we'd need a new thread to discuss the new episodes.

Okay I didn't see the last episode and mtv hasn't reshown them (or at least not when I have been watching... ) So tell me what was the final out come and what is this KOI-GATE?

If this was talked about in the old threads just let me know and I will go-a-looking.

On the site's links page, there are links to all the news stories about the koi incident - in which 2 of the brothers are being prosecuted for capturing, killing, & barbecuing an unofficial campus mascot koi fish.

Also, I've got recaps of all the episodes from the first season on there as well - so you can get caught up! Here's the summary I wrote for the last episode:

Both of those shows, Fraternity Life as well as Sorority Life, made us laugh. Those guys are tools and the girls are almost as bad. There is enough drama for everyone involved by simply going through the process to be Greek without adding TV cameras. I felt as though they were too busy making good TV instead of truly bonding as future brothers. The petty, BS arguements are drawn out just long enough to make you see that they're playing it up for the cameras.

I, for one, will not be watching this new season, and I think I can speak for my brothers as well.

I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised with SL:3, although I think the boys from FL:2 will be far worse than last season.

Koi-Gate has yet to be settled; both of the defendants pled innocent to the charges.

Like I said, they are being prosecuted - trial starts in February.

I'll try to catch it when I can.

Has anyone heard of any developments with Sigma Chi Omega from FL2? Are they still suspended?

I think you mean FL:1 - and as far as I know, yes, they are still suspended. It was classified as a "temporary suspension - pending review," but the University has not yet announced that it has lifted the suspension. ΣΧΩ is still listed as a member of IFC on UB's Greek Affairs page, but they have been all during the suspension, so that doesn't help any.

I just saw the commercial FL2... nice commerical showing a guy blind-folded puking while guys surround him cheering... sense the sarcasm.

Is it just me or did some of the brothers of DOC look like some of the brothers of Sigma Chi Omega?

Alright, just during the PREVIEWS of what happens during the season of FL 2, i saw about 4 different things that will get these kids kicked off of campus.

So far, it's ok.

Some of the pledges seem pretty cool, i was glad to see Kendon in a future episode, i really like the kid. He kinda reminds me of myself, i was superbly anti-Greek when i got to A&M, but as i met more and more Greeks, i came to realize how great Greek Life was and how much i would like it. I'm also extremely proud of the way most of the brothers reacted to it. I didn't have any openly gay brothers, and i'll admit i didn't have a whole lot of contact with gays at A&M, but one of the guys i worked with this summer was gay and it wasn't as much of an issue as i thought it would have been. But that's a whole other story. When Kendon said that he was gay in the interview, i was like, "oh crap, here we go" but i think the majority of the brothers handled it the way it should be.

Mariano? why don't you just come out and say you're a homophobe?

Tonight's episode was mildly entertaining - not nearly as good as last season, I feel like this will be a weak imitation. My impressions and predictions...

I like Keldon, he seems like a nice guy. And MTV is gonna make him live in the pledge house. Robbie's gonna be the one with rage issues, I can feel it. Pat is gonna live in the pledge house, but it'll cramp his style.

And SLater's gonna get all the tail :D

Pat is just soooooooo California. They all were. I know that's a weird way to put it, but compared to the house & guys on FL1 it's just odd.

I LOVE that there is a guy named Slater on this show. I keep expecting him to have a mullet and call girls "mama" every time they show him.

I hate to admit that I saw only a minute or two of it. Don't know why I did it. I couldn't take it anymore. I shouted "Koi Killer" at the screen and switched it to Animal Cops Detroit on Animal Planet.

I thought it was funny how that brother wore a wig and pretended to be a rushee. That brother seems cool, he has nice eyes too.

I missed it last night because of my evening class. I hope to catch a repeat sometime this weekend.

Please....let this $#!tty show die and go away....

PS: Did anyone else catch the irony of them talking to Keldon about being gay, then cutting to a guy named Snatch??? LOL

Ya gotta love MTV. They give them all pledge houses! I wish everyone got pledge houses! That would be so awesome!!!

While this will be the same "animal house" crap from last year, there are some cuties in this group!! But again, more hazing, more drinking, and a lot of bull.

Well this season of "Fraternity Life" looks like a train wreck from the start. The trailer for "this season on Fraternity Life..." shows a hell of a lot of vomiting (thanks MTV!). Next episode it looks like they lead blindfolded pledges onto a ledge over the ocean. I would say "What are they thinking?" but it's pretty obvious they aren't.

I will say that I was glad that they conducted dry rush. I would hope that even when MTV leaves and they are not forced to do so, it will prove to be a benefit to them in the future.

Well I for one am glad to see that these guy's arent a bunch of panzys and it seems like there will be some interesting hazing and such goin on. FL2 was Much much much much more entertaining then SL3, SL3 made me wanna puke.

As far as that whole cops comming thing, bleh who cares, everyone deals with the cops and a party at some point, its just that he knew how to deal with them and wasnt upset. At our house we take turns signing off on the warnings. =)

But I was checking out Double Sweetie and didn't see him, which makes me sad. :(

I'm probably gonna be really lazy this time around and wait for the reruns each week if I don't get me some Keldon!

haha, well i havent been lurkin !!!! i got a new puter during the summer time and didnt have any bookmarks and it took me a while to get around to get this one back ! not to mention that fall is like THE busies semester (aside from january term) for my frat, so ive seriously had a hard time knowing wether im comming or going... we don't have a free weekend until like thanksgiving i think...

I'm glad im remembered though =)
