Favorite Beatle Album

What would you consider Beatle's best album?

I'm still debating between Revolver and Abbey Road.

sigmanuzk 08-26-2003 05:53 AM

Magical Mystery Tour

one is the best compilation.

KappaKittyCat 08-26-2003 07:44 AM

Abbey Road is my favorite, but I also LOVE Revolver. And Let it Be. And Sgt. Pepper. And... :D

xok85xo 08-26-2003 08:15 AM

toss up between revolver and rubber soul..these two albums were their transition between their early days of poppier songs like "she loves you" and "help" and their later darker years of "maxwells silver hammer" and "across the universe"

honeychile 08-26-2003 09:03 AM

Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

I still think "Day In The Life" is genius...

sigtau305 08-26-2003 12:42 PM

The White Album by far is the most progressive.

IvySpice 08-26-2003 01:37 PM

I'd say Sgt Pepper...look at the incredible impact it had on the whole LP genre.

33girl 08-26-2003 01:49 PM

Revolver.

I think Pepper is overrated, music-wise.

bcdphie 08-26-2003 02:03 PM

Abbey Road

CatStarESP4 08-26-2003 06:10 PM

Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club, Revolver and Magical Myster Tour are three of the best.

1. Sgt Peppers

2. Abbey Road

3. Revolver

4. Hey Jude

Oh well, I have 10 Beatle's Albums and I like them all.

KSig RC 08-26-2003 09:45 PM

revolver, and it's not even close

tunatartare 08-26-2003 11:56 PM

Sargeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Help!

DeltAlum 08-26-2003 11:57 PM

Personally, Abby Road and The White Album.

However, most rock musicologists I've ever heard believe that Sgt. Pepper and the Beach Boy's Pet Sounds are two of the most important works in the history of the genre.

Optimist Prime 08-27-2003 12:08 AM

Whichever one had I am the Walrus and Hello, Goodbye.

I had the 45 somewhere.

hootchpdt 08-27-2003 01:46 AM

im not the biggest beatles fan, in fact, i dont like a lot of their stuff. but if you are talking best as in biggest selling, then the statistics say that Sgt. Pepper's is the best beatles album. however, their first album (dont know the name, so please dont kill me) is still the only time that one band has held the top five spots on billboards chart at one time

PiKA2001 08-27-2003 12:18 PM

I absolutely love the Beatles! They are waay before my time but I own and love everything that they came out with. In my opinion the BEST album is the White Album!

I love the Beatles, too! I love most of the music from the White Album, but ever since I heard John call it, "John and his band, Paul and his band, George and his band, Ringo and his band..." it's a sad album to me.

How much do y'all love the Beatles? Test yourself at http://www.bagism.com/cgi-bin/quiz.cgi I should warn you - this is intense!!!

honeychile 08-27-2003 09:43 PM

I just took the Bagism quiz again (it's been 2-3 years). This time, I got 324/375 correct on the first go (you do get a second chance to answer questions you've missed).

AOIIalum 08-27-2003 09:52 PM

Oooh, keep refreshing the quiz for more questions. How fun!

The best Beatles album is Revolver. It's perfect. Revolver shows us where the band was, and introduced us to where they were headed next musically. Tomorrow Never Knows has been my favorite Beatles song for about 5 years now.

Don't get me wrong, I love each and every Beatles album, and could bore ya'll to death talking about them. Side two of Abbey Road is brilliant. I love A Hard Day's Night, too. I love them all!
