Alpha Phi Recruitment Threads?
 

Hi all,

I've subscribed to a few recruitment threads with A Phi in them, but if you know of others, can you post the URLs here so that I can keep tabs on them?

So far, the two that I know of are Justagirl06 and blueGBI...

Amandamarie is also at a school with Alpha Phi. She's using Hogwarts' houses names.

I am RUSH chair for Panhell this year, meaning that i have to disaffiliate for the summer and until the end of formal rush. But, I have been to all the orientations, and we have a pretty large group 50-60, which is large for a commuter school. But, it looks promising, I just hope that they will all go through. What makes it even better is that the girls already know about Alpha Phi!!! Too bad I can't say much about A Phi w/o being too obvious. :)

Alpha Phi will do AWESOME I just know it. You ladies had one of the best years last year and will contniue to do well...Just be aware, there are people rooting for you from all over!

Has anybody heard anything for fall recruitment?

Theta Zeta will be holding Formal Recruitment next week. I hear that we have a legacy coming through so I am very excited! :D

Texas Tech Formal Recruitment begins next week (Aug. 24-28). Approximately 800 women are signed up for rush, with roughly 100 more expected (Panhellenic is still processing applications).

Like last year, quota is expected to be around 50-55. I will keep you posted!

There are 11 National Panhellenic groups on campus: Alpha Phi, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Delta Delta Delta, Zeta Tau Alpha, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Pi Beta Phi, Chi Omega

The Gamma Iota chapter of Alpha Phi is pumped and ready. They look fantastic in their recruitment clothes and are eagerly awaiting the first rush parties.

Recruitment at The University of British Columbia is scheduled for September 15 - 29. I'm not sure what quota is, but as soon as I find out, I'll let you know!

There are seven NPC groups on campus: Alpha Phi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Gamma, Alpha Delta Pi and Delta Phi Epsilon.

Beta Theta seems really excited about recruitment this year (PM me to find out why) and we hope it'll be a great year for them!

CSUSB recruitment is in October. I am trying to get ahold of the Ca there to see what i can do to help and i cant find her email on the site or in the Quarterly.:(

Recruitment at San Francisco State Is from September 15th-19th. School doesn't start until next week, and the girls will start tabling then. We don't set quota until the week of rush, but I'm the Recruitment Advisor, so I'll keep you all updated.

There are only three NPC Sororities on campus and the other two are Alpha Gamma Delta and Phi Sigma Sigma.

Iota Beta's informal recruitment starts on Sept 2nd and goes till the 6th. Everyone send good vibes to us. We've grown this past year and we will continue!! WHOO HOO

Tabling is what Panhellenic at SFSU does to advertise for recruitment. All of the local greek organizations and the National Fraternities have info tables lining the walkway to the Student Center. All three NPC Sororities have a representative at our table and we're only allowed to recruit for Panhellenic, not our individual organizations. The girls have a Panhellenic photo album, a sign-up sheet, and flyers with the rush schedule.

Hey girls! I just started recruitment at the University of Arizona (we have an Alpha Phi chapter) yesterday. In case you were wondering there are 900+ girls participating and quota is in the sixties.

Chico State starts recruitment Sept 4th. Last year they had about 270 girls go through rush, which was LOW, apparently. Makes me kind of nervous for this rush because I'm used to like less than 100 at SF State...there are 7 NPC sororities here: A Phi, ADPi, AGD, Pi Beta Phi, Sigma Kappa, Gamma Phi Beta, and ZTA. Not to brag but usually Alpha Phi rushes #1 here, followed by ADPi. :D

Jess I didn't know you were Recruitment advisor, I heard Cheryl was doing it. Anyway I heard numbers were low this semester so you guys better rush HARD!!!! hehe I'm sure it will be great and I'm planning on coming down for their Initiation.

From the Gamma Iota chapter at Texas Tech: Panhellenic has set quota at 51 plus 3 quota additions and 3 juniors.

ASU Recruitment Begins!
 

Hello to my A-Phi hotties! I am so excited to be annoncing the start Friday 8/29 of my recruitment at ASU! Everything from the clothes and pre-rush shirts to props and polish days have turned out amazing! We even have our men on campus sporting our pre-rush shirts too! And although, being the VPMR has been the hardest and most stressful job ever! I know when I see our new pledge class on bid day, it will all pay off! I hope all of my fellow VPMR's have a very successful rush! Good luck to all of you and let's show these girls why ... if you rush Alpha Phi, you'll understand why there isn't another house to be!;)

Recruitment at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo Ontario, Canada is beginning on the 8th of September. Can't wait to see some new girls out!

Recruitment starts tonight at San Francisco State and I'm so excited!!!

Being a first-time Recruitment Adviser, I'm really anxious and asking for all your positive thoughts! We're at a small commuter school where Greek Life isn't that popular. We have three NPC Sororities and at least 160 girls signed up! We always have a lot of girls signed up and about 30-40% show up to Open House, so I'll let you all know how it goes.

Hi Delia!

Rush is going well! I don't have the exact numbers of PNMs returning for night 2, but I think it's around 60. Hoepfully, it will stay around that number and quota will be 20! That would put us right at total! :D The other groups are doing extremely well too. I'll try to update after tonight or tomorrow (Pref). I'm so excited!


GIANTS can clinch tonight! I'm also going to LA this weekend to see the Giants-Dodgers game Saturday. I'm a little nervous because it's my first visit to Dodger Stadium and I've heard that the fans don't take too kindly to us Giants fans. I'll be with a large group and about half of us are rooting for SF and the others are diehard LA fans. Safety in numbers??? Ok, enough hijacking, but GO GIANTS!!!! ;)

How are your new girls doing? Have you guys COB ed at all?

Um...they won't let us COB because we are under all this scrutiny for dirty rushing....basically because we rushed top and everyone's jealous and spreading false rumors. It's crap.

But our new members are doing great! I love these girls and I'm hoping to find my 3rd Little Sis among them :D

Beta Theta
 

Beta Theta's recruitment started last night! Last night was the first party of 7 (you visit all seven chapters, plus visit with the Kappa Alpha Theta colonization team). I got watch them through the last two parties of the night. Even though it was a pretty long day, the Beta Theta women are working HARD for Alpha Phi! They all rushed well, had great energy and enthusiasm - I'm so proud of them!

There's another party of 7 on Saturday, and the first invitational round is on Sunday. There is a great group of talented, intelligent, diverse, and beautiful women going through recruitment this year, and hopefully it'll be a banner year for Beta Theta! I'll post more later!

Tonight is Pref Night and we have a great group of girls coming back tonight! We only received 8 regrets, so us gals at SFSU are so excited!!! Quota is set at 19! (Which is huge for SFSU!)

Hopefully, I'll report back with great news! I'm going to bid matching tonight for the first time! :D
