|
Fabulous thread Kate! Looks like so far our ADPi girls are doing well and happily welcoming new Alphas into our wonderful sisterhood! Congrats to them all! violets
|
FSU's bid day is August 24. We had a 97% return rate after ice waters so we are very excited.
MC |
Kateshort-
whats ice waters? |
Ice Water is the name for Round 1 at some schools. Typically, the parties are at the end of summer, and it's hotter than Hades outside, so most chapters servce Ice Water to the PNM's to keep them refreshed.

Pitt's rush is September 18-22, with Bid Day on 22 September. Interestingly, I just found my Bid Card today! :) I really need to get it into a scrapbook...! ETA: USC's rush is August 28 through September 1st. I'm not sure if Bid Day is September 1st or 2nd, though. |
Arizona State begins Rush I believe on the 28th. It is over labor day weekend. Bid day should be the 2nd of September. (I got this information from the alumna president.)
As soon as I know their results I'll post. For the last two years ASU has met quota. Which, if I remember correctly, is about 30-40 (possibly more) girls. Brianna |
Just so you gals know - you got a GREAT girl named Megan here at MTSU! She was from my rho sigma group and one of the cutest, friendliest, classiest girls I saw at recruitment. Congrats on her and the other awesome girls you got!
|
Crystal:
How incredibly generous of you to post that! Thanks very much, we are very proud of our MTSU chapter! Glad to have you on the ADPi board! violets |
Epsilon Xi chapter put 9 women through alpha ceremony last night...We actually extended 11 bids, but one women it looks like will not except at all...and the other is still extremely disapointed in not getting her first choice...We are trying to convince her to stay with us since we think she is an absolute sweetie...
On another good note, we had 3 or 4 women come ice skating with us last night also, so we will reach quota yet (which is 20 this year)... Also, with the help of some io's, it looks like if we get many women we will be getting new chapter room furniture...Our's is a bit 80's-ish...and what not...And we actually just got new carpet and fans in there...So we are starting off with a wonderful year... |
Congratulations! I wish your nine new Alphas all the Pi love in the world!

UCF Results!
Zeta Omega Chapter proudly welcomed UCF's First and Finest new alpha members this week! Quota was met as usual, and we have 69 beautiful, brilliant and gung-ho new ADPi sisters in our chapter!
Return rates for ADPi parties were exceptionally high, and the entire chapter is extremely excited, both with their new member class and also the return of their disaffiliated Panhellenic Exec and Rho Gammas! Welcome home sisters! You have a beautifully redecorated house to enjoy, thanks to the hard work of the alumnae on House Corporation all summer long! Your alumnae were so excited to see the changes during Pre-Recruitment "Pi and Tea," and loved your video! Violets to our UCF Sorority neighbors: ZTA, DDD, Alpha Xi, KD, Pi Phi, DG, Theta, Chi-O and Kappa on their new sisters! We're very proud of all of our UCF Greeks and I'm sure the ladies can't wait to assist at fraternity recruitment in a couple of weeks! Go Knights! Pi Love, A Loyal Alumna who can't wait to see her chapter earn #1 GPA AGAIN, #1 Homecoming Skit and Float and kick it up at the intramural fields this semester! I am so proud of you all! |
Iota, at Florida State, has an Alpha class of 65 amazing girls!
MC |
There's an article on U of South Carolina's rush in the Rush Forum. It states that ADPi took 70, their largest alpha class ever (and made it sound as if that's the largest on campus, but I won't swear to it!)!

UNT's recruitment results!
I've been MIA because of Spirit Week and Recruitment, but I can definately say that both weeks were SOOOOOO AMAZING & definately brought all the sisters closer than before! :)
Spirit Week was a lot of work, but well worth it, and it was so much FUN ! Going into recuitment our chapter had the most girls returning in the fall, so we were extremely excited about that. We had a great recruitment, and I met so many wonderful women! Being that it was my first formal recruitment on the 'other side' it was very amazing, and I cried (like a lot of my sisters) during Pref ceremony ... mostly because it was beautiful, but I was also kind of sad that the week was drawing to a close. Like I mentioned, it was a GREAT week! Our chapter was also excited because out of all the sororities, we had the most women attend our Pref Ceremony. I also preffed my "Rush Crush" and she became an Alpha of our wonderful sisterhood! :) Of the 6 sororites @ UNT, 3 (including ADPi) made quota, and the other 3 snap bidded to quota. Our chapter now has 25 beautiful new Alphas, and we are so proud to have them with us!!!! |
I love this thread! As usual it seems that our Florida sisters are doing just beautifully in recruitment, congratulations and Pi love to them all!
I'm so happy to hear that Texas*Princess' first formal recruitment went so well...not everyone gets their "rush crush" on the first try! (Some never do, actually, good for Texas Princess!) Sounds like South Carolina had one heck of a recruitment...70 Alphas! Wonder what their recruitment themes were? Hope they share some of the details on Pride Online! violets |
Quota here at MTSU was 33 - of course ADPi filled it!
|
GO MTSU ADPis! And thanks again to you Crystal for posting that terrific bit of information!!!

Brianna |
I just wanted to drop a quick note to tell everyone that Formal Recruitment starts tomorrow for us! I am excited and nervous. :p I hope to post great results on Monday or Tuesday.
Good luck to everyone who is going through or will be going through!!! :D :D :D |
Univeristy of South Florida Recruitment 2003
Hello Sisters! I am a recent alumna, May 2003, of the Epsilon Lambda Chapter of Adpi at USF. I just registered onto the site and wanted to share USF's Fall recruitment results with you all.
~ We are so HAPPY to have 39 New BEAUTIFUL Alpha's!! This was quota and the largest yet for USF too. For those of you that know, the florda chapters of Adpi are Very strong! We were sorority of the year from 1998-2002, and we also have the highest G.P.A.! This was the first year that 6 out of 8 sororities recruited with houses. USF built 7 back-to-back houses for a total of 14 greek organizations. The houses hold up to 28 women. Our house is backed to SAE <----so we're happy to have our brother fraternity near by. Basically, the houses look like lil' apartment complexes, but it's a lot better then what we all had before, which was nothing. ~Anyhoo, I look forward to keeping in touch with all my sisters out there and keeping you all updated with the Epsilon Lambda chapter of ADPI at USF! Pi LOVE, Sara P.S. If there's any Alumna from UCF or FSU......My older sister was alpha class of 96' @ Zeta Omega & then Transferred to IOTA chapter @ FSU in 98'----let me Know-:) |
Yay for more Florida ADPi's on the boards!! I'm a Zeta Omega--- AC 97 from UCF-- is your sister Kelly Ostner or Genevieve Hall (my delta diamond sis!), by any chance?
:) |
YES!
Yes, My sister is Kelly Ostner. I remember meeting Genevieve when they transferred too. I am AC' 99 at USF ~ recent Alumna now though!
In 2000 we, Epsilon Lambda, Came to Orlando and had a mock rush with you at your house and learned some new songs!! It was so much fun to visit you all and see your house! ~ Kelly is actually getting married May 1, 2004 in Charleston, SC. She has 5 Adpi's from FSU in the wedding as well~ --I am actualy moving back home to Orlando in December and really want to get involved in the Alumni Association there-- Sara |
What a Small World!!!
That's so funny that you're "Lil" Ostner!
The 96 class was full of awesome girls. Congratulations to Kelly!!! I can't wait to share the news with our alum! Do you know what Genevieve is up to these days? We lost touch a while back, but I know she was interested in the Peace Corps. I remember the USF girls coming out to do mock parties; we always enjoyed meeting our Tampa Sisters! It was so much fun to take photos on the lawn outside of our house of the two groups together, and I am so thrilled that now your chapter has a home of your own, too! Karla was a Zeta Omega who transferred to USF (A/C 98) -- she posted on here recently. The Greater Orlando Alum, aka GO ADPi!, is a great group of ladies. I live in CA now, but I would be happy to get you in touch with them, as well as with some other alum in the area. What is your degree in? If you're anywhere in the communication field, I have a ton of contacts. :) I'll be back to OTown for Xmas; I am so looking forward to seeing everyone! Maybe we'll have a chance to meet (one warning about living in Orlando-- if you wear your letters and an ADPi spots you, they'll honk at you three times to say "hi"-- a chapter tradition-- and if you're at the mall, prepare to be tackled with a huge hug from a stranger-- we love meeting new sisters!) Florida Love, ADPiUCF |
The Epsilon Rho chapter now has 26 GREAT Alphas, bringing us to house total for campus!!! :D :D :D We had a great recruitment and an awesome bid day!!!!
|
Congrats Epsilon Rho, how fabulous!

the Eta Tau chapter welcomed 3 new Alphas tonight, and we'll have at least one more next week (she wanted to accept, but she had to go home for an emergency today)! Quota was 5... We gave out 5 bids, and the only one to decline was my potential <> sister... In any case, we're really excited to welcome these girls into our sisterhood, and I'm looking forward to even more girls by the end of the semester!
|
Congratulations to Eta Tau Chapter! :)
|
Recruitment at Pitt starts on Thursday, and so far, only 95 women have signed up (for 11 sororities)!! Please think good thoughts for Alpha Iota in the coming week - they are a SUPER chapter who have come such a long way in two years!! Their attitude is just contagious!! :)
|
Valpo just finished informal recruitment week, and I'm happy to report that Eta Psi snagged *two* wonderful women! Yay, new Alphas!
Turnout was small for most of the sororities recruiting, due to tests and stuff, but the Valpo chapter is still pursuing a number of women and holding an Ultimate Frisbee event next week. Yeah! |
the eta nu chapter at saint louis university welcomed 44 wonderful ladies to alpha delta pi this year! :D

Can't wait to hear from Pitt...
Meanwhile, I heard from the board at http://groups.msn.com/AlphaDeltaPi/ that Beta Beta at U TN Chattanooga got 36 Alphas, and U of Nebraska snagged 9 Alphas! Way to go, ladies!!! |
Without having many details, and before snap-bidding starts, Pitt has 8 new Alphas!
Y'all are probably sick of me saying this, but Alpha Iota came back 2 years ago with just 12 members, and are now looking at *only* being able to take 10 more for Total!! Woo Hoo!!! ETA: Quota was 14, and only 3 of 11 sororities made it. So far - COB is Alpha Iota's strong suit! :D |
Eta Tau (Bishop's) will be pinning 2 more Alphas tonight, bringing our Alpha count up to 5!
And I finally get a <> sister!!!!!!!! |
All times are GMT -4. The time now is 10:25 AM. |
