The Davinci Code

Anyone read this book or is currently reading it? I've just started to read the book yesterday, and I can't put it down. We need to get a discussion group going about this book. It's just that good. All of the historical, religous, and art references are on point.

REIKI 08-15-2003 05:24 PM

I haven't read the book, but the site is cool...

RedefinedDiva 08-15-2003 05:52 PM

I've gotta get this book!

Serenity 08-15-2003 08:19 PM

I'm anxious to read it but I'm waiting for it on paperback. It's that good, huh!?! I might have to splurge... :o

1focused1 08-15-2003 11:53 PM

On the DaVinci puzzle page, I can't figure out where to type the www.robertlangdon.com! Help!

Senusret I 08-16-2003 02:29 AM

OH MY GOD!!!!!!

I don't want to give it away......but NOTHING is as it seems......

I really wish I wasn't doing this at 2am....it's kinda scary.

Senusret I 08-16-2003 02:34 AM

NUPE4LIFE,

Hit me up on the PM, Brother, I have a question about the book.

InLFS,

you all have me hooked on this da vinci code website!

i just have a question---is it all done online? or do you need the book at all to help?

i'm on the 3rd clue and am a little stuck!

I think that you need the book at some point... I got stuck as well, that's why I want the book.

FuturePhD 08-16-2003 03:58 PM

You don't really need the book....everything is done online

On Robert's page...hint: Contact him.

It's a good concept...the ending is kinda anti-climatic though.

Lone Dog 08-16-2003 04:35 PM

This is wild! I was just about to come to this forum and ask the same question.....

I read the Da Vinci Code in 2 DAYS....straight up. I was hooked. I am fiending for more books with the same fast-paced plot, intellectual premise, and concepts that challenge my Southern Baptist upbringing.

I think a discussion board for brothers and sisters to talk about this book is in order... I gotta agree w/ NUPE4LIFE - it's just that good.

Holla if anyone wants to discuss the book

You do eventually need the book... I'm on the last question and it requires some information from a particular chapter of the book.... and I don't have it so  ;)

... or you can look it up online ...

The end of the quest is not all that bad... it is worth it to try to figure out all the puzzles. Kind of freaky and creepy, but worth it just to say you figured it out.:D

MaMaBuddha 08-16-2003 08:32 PM

i've made it through all the clues, with the exception of the last one. this has me on my toes...i will definitely invest in the book.

NUPE4LIFE 08-17-2003 10:28 AM

See what I started. I"m inches away from finishing the book. I would have been done with the book but schedule would not permit me time to just read. Although I think that I'm doing ok considering the fact that I started reading it on Thurs. I'll be done today. Yeah the book hasn't made me challenge my ultimate belief, but some of the teachings. I won't go into details, but yeah we must chat about this one. I"ll hit you guys up who have read the book. And if you haven't been convinced yet to read this book, please do.

NUPE4LIFE 08-17-2003 11:12 AM

Happy Birthday, Lone Dog!

MaMaBuddha 08-18-2003 03:58 AM

yeah!!

hey..i solved it!!!

took me a day and a half...but i did it.

took longer then expected.

phinediva 08-18-2003 11:28 AM

Well, well, well

I too have solved it! I needed assistance w/the Chapter 44 question, but after I got over that hill, I was able to solve the code. It was pretty decent; interested in purchasing the book. After you reach the end, you're looking for more problems to solve. It made me feel like Columbo a bit. It really does take time and patience along w/a clear head. Anyone who hasn't given it a try, should! And w/that I'm gone....

Jorrie96 08-18-2003 01:09 PM

Such a good book!

I too am hooked on this book. If a discussion group is put together, count me in!

Phinediva, how did you solve the Chapter 44 question without the book?

phinediva 08-18-2003 04:17 PM

AXE Girl

My friend works at Barnes and Nobles and I just asked her to tell me what #'s they were referring to in Chapter 44.

NUPE4LIFE 08-18-2003 04:49 PM

If anyone has questions about the numbers in Chapter 44, I give you a hint...Fibonacci Sequence

All I did was a Google search. I typed in DaVinci Chapter 44 and I found the answer instantly.

evaclear04 08-18-2003 06:12 PM

Thank you Afrochic!!!!!

evaclear04 08-18-2003 06:41 PM

Hot Dayum I did it!!!!

phinediva 08-18-2003 06:43 PM

Aha!

Didn't think of that Afrochic! With as much use of google, I'm surprised I didn't type that in, but good looking though! @Nupe4life, great clue!
