I know their Bid Days are coming up tomorrow or Saturday. Is there any news yet? I know there are a few Auburn people on GC. We'd love to hear! :)

Sigk_Bama knows someone rushing at Alabama... I'm really curious to hear how that's going... PSPgirl is from Auburn, but she's been lying low lately--probably crazy-busy with rush!

On that same note I want to know how recruitment is going at UGA also.

UGA just finished round one today! There were around 1250 girls going through and quota is 62. Tomorrow is House tours. I know I met a lot of great girls! Its odd- there are a lot from Texas this year!

I head up to UGA in a few hours to help -- I am so excited -- one of those gals from Texas is the daughter of my pledge sister from Southern Cal (they moved to TX a few years ago)!!

Anyone got any #s for Bama and UGA? eg -- how many going thru and quota?

Yay, I was mentioned! Yes, things have been crazy hectic! But tommorow (well, it's now today) is PREF!!

Since rush is still going on, I don't want to be too specific about how DG is doing, but I will say this: WE ROCK!;) :D

Woohoo! I just heard from the daughter of one of my pledge sisters and she said that the Auburn Pi Phis have an incredible return rate! Something like 90% I can't wait for details--

Well, today is Bid Day at Auburn...so what's the word???? :)

I understand about 968 girls started recruitment at Bama and quota is looking to be around 57...

QUOTA PLUS! Heck yeah!

One of my pledge sisters sends me a report from her daughters--now Auburn Pi Phis--that we took quota with a class full of really cute girls! Go Pi Phi!:)

Local girls were well-represented; when reading the list, I saw a lot of familiar names! War Eagle! :)

One of those really cute girls is from my stomping grounds -- Fayette county -- she is a quadruple DG legacy -- her mom is in our alum panhel group here and her dad flies for Delta with my hubby and they were also in the same cadet squadron (quasi fraternity -- hahaha!) at the Air Force Academy. Her name is Jessica Harper and -- I LOVE this about her -- she is on an Air Force ROTC scholarship at Auburn! Woo HOO! I know that one of her three pref houses was Gamma Phi and she said it was a really tough choice because she really liked the Gamma Phis! Sounds like Gamma Phi did well with 58, but I would have loved to have Jess as a sister.

Now I cannot wait till tomorrow -- its serious night tonight at Bama & bid day tomorrow; today was prefs at UGA & bid day is tomorrow....

Thought you didn't get Jessica Harper, Carnation did, because Jessica went PI BETA PHI!! :)

Also another Georgia girl I wrote a rec on for Gamma Phi at Auburn went Pi phi -- Austin Thompson....

oh well.....

I hope that both girls are sweet!

If GPhiBLtColonel wrote them recs, I'm sure Pi Phi is incredibly lucky to have them! Congrats to all the groups at Auburn--it's amazing that all of them did so well! Congrats especially to DG!

Yay Zeta!! :) Congrats to ALL the Auburn sororities (and new members!) for a great recruitment.

On a side note, it looks like ZTA took a new member from Surrey, England! How fun! Also, Gamma Phi has a new Canadian sister. :) That's exciting for a school that has so many in-state and southern PNM's! Thanks for posting the info, y'all.

Oh my! How could anyone think otherwise? If I know them and wrote recs on them, you can be sure they are EXCEPTIONALLY sweet....no recs from me if they are not...'nuff said.:p

And if they ain't sweet then as long as they're GORGEOUS and BRILLIANT then that's even better. Right ???? :eek:

I think Houstonchica just has my back...I think that she read carnation's post like I did -- e.g. that Carnation had some doubt or question about whether a girl is sweet or not if I wrote a rec on her...

...I mean, just because I am a big cranky old battleaxe does not mean I write recs on girls who are not sweet (or smart or cute etc)
