Where other chapters did you pref?
 

i have seen this thread on other boards and thought it was interesting. Personally i suited (at my school the final round is called suits) Pi Phi and Chi-o. What about you guys!?!??!

We're allowed to pref up to 2 at UNCG...I looked at Sigma Sigma Sigma and, of course, Phi Mu.

I COB'd here, but I think if I had gone through formal I would have also preffed AGD and ASA. Sigma's the other biggest sorority on campus, but I'm not sure I would have fit in with the ladies there.

Due to a completely FUBARed Rush for me, I only went to Phi Mu's pref. Although I had wanted to go Phi Mu since the first week of freshman year (we're not allowed to pledge until Soph year at my college) but when I went through Rush, I was really impressed by AXO, the top sorority on campus. So....if Rush hadn't gotten messed up, who knows where I would have been. But that's where I would have liked to go.

As it was, I cried my eyes out at Pref night. (And I still do. It's my favorite night of Rush!!!)

I preffed Phi Sigma Sigma and Phi Mu.....looking back now i cant believe i was even considering Phi Sig.... they are SOOOO NOT me...I think I was influenced somewhat by my rho chi group...almost all of them went Phi Sig and one DPhiE and me the Phi Mu :)

my rush was screwed up beucause Panhellenic lost my grades, so i only preffed Phi Mu. that was the only place i wanted to be anyway though so i was very happy.

OK, I'm bumping this up because I'm curious and not many people posted on this (a long time ago!).

I preffed, AOII, Alpha Gam, & of course, Phi Mu. We only have those three chapters and can attend all of them (if invited).

Phi Mu & TriSigma...I knew what I wanted and knew they wanted me but I would have been happy at TriSigma too! :)

I preferenced Zeta Tau Alpha and of course Phi Mu.

I prefed only Phi Mu but it was okay because at that point I KNEW Phi Mu was the place for me.
The day before pref sealed the deal for me. And the day ended with the song "I wanna be a Phi Mu, a Phi Mu, way deep, way down down in my heart." And I had that song in my head ALL day, I really wanted to be a Phi Mu. That will always be my favorite song we sing in recruitment

Phi Mu Baby...all the way. My heart was there from the moment I learned about Phi Mu.

I actually was in the days of "informal" (before it was called cob). Several groups were "rushing" me hard. AXD was the only other one that even accepted an invite to meet people, and that was because one of my HS friends was in the chapter.

Delta Delta Delta, Delta Zeta, and Phi Mu. Obviously made the best choice. :)

i was invited back to DZ AGD and Phi Mu. glad i saved the best for last!

I prefed AOII, Phi Mu, and Chi O, but I was convinced that I was going AOII (altho I loved Phi Mu just as much) for a few particular reasons. But I ended up in our letters, and I'm glad I did!! It's true---you end up exactly where you are supposed to be because I can't imagine being in any other chapter besides Phi Mu :o)

I went to DG, Pi Phi, and Phi Mu! But I'm pretty sure Phi Mu had my heart....oh around age 3, when my Mom bought me a Phi Mu Legacy shirt! By the time I pledged she had this whole stash of stuff from conventions over the years. I think she was always hoping! :)

I preffed AEPhi and SDT. I COB'ed Phi Mu! :)

My order of preference was as follows:

1. Phi Mu
2. KD
3. DG
4. Theta
5. AZD
6. AXO

At the pref round I was having a really hard time deciding between Phi Mu and KD. I'm very happy with my choice, but I do still sometimes wonder...

I preffed ZTA and Phi Mu. I ended up transferring the nezt year and always wondered who I would pref if I had rushed at my new school (besides Phi Mu of course)

I preffed SDT and Phi Mu ... and definitely ended up where I belong! :)

Phi Mu and Alpha Delta Pi!

I preffed KD, Pi Phi, and Phi Mu. I remember that I went to the Pi Phi house after Phi Mu and nothing against Pi Phi but the entire time I was just thinking about how much I wanted to go back to the Phi Mu house!

The only one I wanted all of rush week was Phi Mu :)

We only pref 2. Mine were Phi Mu and DG. Glad I ended up where I belong, I've always looked good in pink! : )

I preffed Delta Zeta and Phi Mu. At my school theses are the most similar houses and while I get along with and like the sisters of Delta Zeta I knew Phi Mu is where I belonged!

I preffed ZTA and Phi Mu. Me and the three people I new going into recruitment all ended up going Phi Mu too.

We could only pref two so my other was Tri-Sig. Phi Mu was not a difficult choice for me but probably could have gotten along okay with the Sigmas.

my older sister was a phi mu and only a grade ahead of me so I knew since my sr yr in hs I was going to be PHI MU! But I went to tri delt and maybe KD too for pref? But I always knew it was phi mu. I never had to worry like so many did during rush. Like my daughter is now! ughhh I have been on pins and needles all weekend! Phi Mu is rushing her hard, but I told her to keep her otions open, I didnt want her to feel pressure from me to go phi mu if her heart wasnt there ... BUT I REALLY REALLY WANT HER TOO!! I just will never tell her unless she ends up going phi mu ha.

I know how you feel! My younger sister is a senior in high school this year and planning to rush at Ole Miss next year. It will be my last year as an active and I'm trying not to pressure her into going Phi Mu but I'll be a little sad if she doesn't! Good luck to your daughter! I hope she finds her hΦΜe! :p

Good luck to both of you! I hope that they do make the right choice for them. (But I hope the right choice is our sisterhood!)

I have 3 little sisters and I don't know what I'll do if they all decide to rush!

i Preffed AOII, Phi Mu, and Pi Phi.

I think it sealed the deal at Phi Mu when I told them my bedroom at home was painted hot pink :)

I pref-ed AGD and Phi Mu. But I knew that it was Phi Mu or nothing for me. I didnt feel nearly as comfortable with the AGD's. Great ladies but not Home for me.

The ladies of AST were very nice and I enjoyed learning about their rich history on campus. However, there was a deep, unexplainable connection I felt with Phi Mu. My mind was made up after the first round.

I went to pref parties at Phi Mu and KD and ended up suiciding Phi Mu. It is so true when PNMs are told on GC to look around the room during pref to see who their pledge sisters could be...but you also need to see who your role models/ big sister could be.

The KDs were very nice to me, but I could not see myself being close to the majority of the women in the chapter.

Since I am still involved with Phi Mu many years later, looks like I made the right choice!!!!;)

I went to pref parties at Chi O, KD, and of course Phi Mu. I loved the girls at Chi O and KD but I felt like I wasn't really being myself and I remembered being at the Phi Mu house first round and I remember being able to make jokes with the girl who showed me around and be sarcastic (i'm always sarcastic and make jokes and being a dork but I have to be totally comfortable around the people I'm with) and after first round I was like "hold up, that did not happen anywhere else!!" I love my sister and I wouldn't change a thing, on my pref card I put KD and Phi Mu and going into bid night I told myself I'd be happy either way but at the end of the night I knew I would have been devastated had I not gotten a bid from Phi Mu.

I went to pref for Phi Mu & Delta Zeta. Hard choice for me, but I ended up right at hΦMe :)

Alpha Delta Pi, and of course Phi Mu! I was destined to be a Macon Magnolia/Lion either way! :)
