I was reading the sex thread which is actually hilarious...but I was wondering if there are any guys or girls on here who actually are waiting for the right person or waiting for marriage, whatever.

I'm waiting...not for marriage really. But more so for the person who I am going to marry. Once I am engaged and live with the person is when I'll stop waiting probably. I mean you have to try the clothes on before you buy them, right? ;)

I think it's best *not* to wait, but that's just me. ;)

I'm waiting for marriage. I might not when I get engaged but who knows....

I happen to be one of 'em. No wife, no kids, no hurry for either; eventually I'll settle down, get married and start a family, but it's not a high priority this minute. :)

I'm waiting until i'm married, i just recently took the true love waits vow at my chruch in NC and it was a very powerful experience. I want my 1st time to be w/the person i will be married to forever.

Waiting is not smart in my opinion. What if you end up marrying a person who is a corpse in bed?

Personally, I think you miss out when you wait till marriage for sex.
When you truly love someone, it's not sex anymore (well sometimes it is, but...) it's making love. That can be a crazy insane connection between two people- I think it's something that makes your relationship a million times more intimate, literally and figuratively. There's a reason why people say sex changes everything- but it really can change it for the better.

I know we have this discussion periodically lol.

I would probably respect the people that "truly" waits. And by that I mean those that don't engage in sexual activites that lead to Orgasm.

In fact I might even toss masturbation in there. ..

Now that would constitute a valid sacrifice.

If you are a so-called "technical virgin", where is the challenge? I mean you are still getting off every which way you can.

haha James! but I agree that maybe you shouldnt wait...I mean I dont know I know that I would definitly have to sleep with them before I married them b/c sex can be a big part of a relationship..not always but in some cases yes it is. and why not try on the clothes before buying them so to speak you wouldnt do that would you? so why do something like this that can be of great importance also? I dont know I dont care either which way personally. Its up to the person. Its just not right for me.

Quite right. IMHO, it's more important to wait for the "right" person, a person you're in love with, that to wait until marriage.

i wont just do it with anyone - i thought the person i lost my virginity to was the person id be with forever. unfortunately he didnt think so. so there went the whole concept of one partner for life :/ i just recently made love to my current boyfriend, and we talk about getting married all the time...i very much love him and we truely can see ourselves with each other for the rest of our lives...hopefully it'll work out lol but yeah, i think its a very sacred and importnat thing and wouldnt dish it o ut to anyone, but no, im not waiting (obviously) til after marriage :o

I had always planned to wait for marriage, and to this day I wish I had have. Now I'm celibate - I haven't had sex in over 3 years. I renewed my commitment to wait in front of my parents and several friends.
