Are You Ready For Some Football?

Training Camps are opening up...

First pre-season game is on 8/2 in Tokyo...

Regular Season starts on 9/7...

Linc Financial's first game is 9/8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

I AM SO READY FOR FOOTBALL!!!

I've been bleeding Eagle green ever since I was 11 years old. I cant wait for the season to start (yeah, yeah, I'm getting repitious), this year, D-Mac is healthy, the defense is still good, I feel that Pinkston will have a breakout year. No predictions, I just want the season to start.:D

steelepike 07-23-2003 05:56 PM

Well I am more ready for some Sooner Football

And yes I am refraining myself from singing.

OH HELL YEAH!
I root for 2 teams:

The Washington Redskins and ANYBODY playing the Dallas Cowboys! http://www.redskins.com/images/RedskinsLogo.jpg

Gina1201 07-23-2003 07:28 PM

Yes, I'm ready!! My two teams are: the NY Giants and The Philly Eagles (just because I'm a Donovan fan). I wish he could come back to the 'Cuse and help out his old team. :(

docetboy 07-23-2003 07:41 PM

Lets go Broncos and Huskers!!!

I hate the Giants but I respect Tiki Barber and Jeremy Shockey even though Shockey makes me want to hurl. I saved a picture of him getting hit by Dawkins in the first game vs. the Gnats.

I'm a huge eagle fan as well. Still heartbroken over last year. I get the feeling of "whats going to happen now?"

Hopefully Buckhalter and Pinkston can have breakout years and the defense stays at the same level it has been. I don't know though... Nate Wayne was a decent pickup but who the heck is Mark Simenaeu and why is he starting at MLB this year?

Rah, Oklahoma! Rah, Oklahoma!

P.S. Just because I live in the Dallas Metroplex does not mean it automatically makes me a Dallas Cowboys fan! One does get tired of the megahype about the so-called 'America's Team'! :D

I'm iffy on Simoneau myself. He was a decent, athletic MLB in Atlanta but he was injury-prone. But considering the Kirkland/Gardner duo that got burned by Jurevicious, I rather have someone new there. The rest of the defense should be alright, we still have Emmons, the secondary is still great, the d-line, McDougle is a stud but since Hugh soldout to Jacksonville, I expect some pains there.

Since Marquette's team is too cool for you to even know about, I think I'll be focusing on the Packers and good ol' high school football.

tinydancer 07-23-2003 11:34 PM

I am SOOOOO ready for football season!!!

Looking forward to seein the Chefs..... ur, Chiefs this year.
Wonder what the Cowboys are going to do - another 5-11??
Already ordered season tickets for TEXAS LONGHORNS!!

361 times I am going to have to listen to Kitso and AlphaSigOU clown on my Longhorns!:p

Betarulz! 07-24-2003 12:09 AM

I am SOOOO ready for some Nebraska Football, first game will be 5 weeks from this comign saturday and it can't get here soon enough...this year we actually have to go through a week of class before the first game....uggh!

I'm also slightly interested in these Chiefs...everyone in KC is saying this is the year...and looking at Dick Vermeil's record, year three is the year he get's things put together...

However, Husker Football is by far my main passion, and while no one outside Nebraska is willing to believe it, we will in the top 15 by the end of the year....

At least I respect the Aggies when we come play 'em at the 12th Man (Kyle Field, for them non-Aggies in the bunch) - they make us Sooners work for that score! :) OTOH, them teasips from t.u. -- that bastion of counterculture called Austin -- still suck anyway! ;)

My two favorite college teams... the Sooners -- and whoever's playing t.u. (especially the Aggies!)

The Nose of Oklahoma smells you
All the live long day!
The Nose of Oklahoma smells you
Why don't you just go away?
All the people down in Austin
Think that they've got class,
But all the people up in Norman
Say TEXAS, BITE MY A**!

bethany1982 07-24-2003 01:33 PM

Bring it on... the Raiders and UT (and I'm not even from TX).

dzrose93 07-24-2003 02:02 PM

I can't wait for the Georgia Tech 2003 season to start. I actually planned my wedding around the football schedule. :D

Goooooooooo Jackets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sigtau305 07-24-2003 02:46 PM

I'm ready. Ohio State will rule this year. The Browns are gonna do well this in the Central Division.

I can't wait!:D

steelepike 07-24-2003 04:32 PM

the way Ohio State barely won games last year is all the proof you need to know that they won't repeat

We'll see. Hopefully, the offense will do better.

steelepike 07-25-2003 07:59 AM

Yeah that could very well happen, if the whole Clarrett Finals fiasco is over. The D better step up again.

Then again, Shawn Barber was injury prone and look how good he did last year? I think the eagle will be alright again. I can't wait for that bucs game on opening night

Go Giants - Brian Mitchell and Dorsey Levens are nice pick-ups, but it's going to be Tiki Barber having another great running season that will help lead the Giants back to the playoffs.
