I met the girl of my dreams!!!!

So i met the girl of my dreams during the evening rush hour. I was waiting in line so that my friend could buy her farecard for the metro and then I see this awesome beautiful woman in front of us. She was about 5'9" slender with curves awesome milk chocolately (is this a word) skin tone, and awesome smile. So I admire her from a far and then she asks in the slightest southern accent if I know how to use the machine. I help her with the farecard machine and I notice she has a pink and green umbrella. Red flag goes up, so I ask if shes a member of AKA and she says yes, and I tell her im in a fraternity her farecard comes out she thanks me for my help and she goes down the long escalator. Five minutes late my intern friend and I go down the escalator and shes on the platform. Our eyes meet she smiles and I smile back and she comes over and thanks me for my help with the farecard machine. I say no prob, but my train comes!!! I dont want to ditch my intern friend so we get on the train, the awesome girl and I exchange good byes and now I probably wont see her again :(.
Has anyone else ever met the girl/guy of their dreams and never acted on it? Please share your stories. Im going to look for her at 5:15 on the platform again and maybe just maybe shell be there and I will get her digits!!!! |

That is such a darling story.
I think you should go back to see if she's there again. Best wishes.:) |

GO FIND HER! What do you have to lose?

I think you should go back to the same area tomorrow and try to find her. Good luck.:)

in Austin we have The Chronicle where you can put an ad in-for example: I helped you with your farecard yesterday. I was wearing_______, you were wearing_______ and had a pink and green umbrella. I asked if you were a member of AKA and you said yes, please contact me.
Do you have any newspapers that do this? Might be worth a try. |

Good luck finding her, I hope everything works out!

 Hey,
Thats the plot of that movie with the dude from N*Sync. Just don't plaster the town with billboards. ( Yes :( I saw the movie. But only on cable late at night :( ) |

 Which metro station was it?
I bet if you posted this in the AKA forum, you'd find her! |

Matt: The City Paper and the Post both have "you caught my eye" sections in their personals, but since you saw her during rush hour I have a feeling it won't be too hard to catch her again. Good luck!

You should definitely go back to find her. My newspaper has one of those "I saw you" sectins too. It's always so sweet to read the ads. I wonder if any of those peopple actually meet up again.

 Aww....what a sweet story! :)
I'm wondering though, if she didn't know how to use the farecard machine, would that be a clue that she doesn't normally ride the train? :( Orrrrrr.....it *could* be that you caught her eye too and she asked you for your "help" so that she could get a closer look at you. :) Well good luck finding her! Let us know if you do! .....Kelly :) |

i thought about that too, that she doesnt ride the train. She did have a mild souther accent. But she was using one of the newer farecard machines where you can use your credit/atm card. So im optimistics about this evening.

Oh wow, that would be SO romantic if you find her again! Assuming that you would start dating of course. :) Good luck, I hope you find her! And make sure you ask her out this time! ;)

Go for it. You have nothing to lose.
	 |

Wow. . .what a beautiful story!!! What are you waiting for man!!! Go go go!!!! Go find her!!!
	 |

thanks for all of your words of wisdom but it will be kind of hard to find this girl in a metro area of 4.2 million people but I will try.
	 |

Put a "I saw you" Or "glanced" whatever it's called in the City Paper. That may work.
Say what stop you were at, what day, etc. that may work. Good luck! |

Good luck finding the woman with the pink and green umbrella. :)

Once I got back home, I didnt think too much about it and what would you know that I run back into him at a friends house that I had just met!! We have been dating for months now and I am in love with him...even from the second i saw him on my VACATION! TALK ABOUT WEIRD!! I wish you the best of luck!! Keep us posted on how things work out!! :D |

Sounds like a John Mayer or DMB song..."I could have met you in the sandbox...." or Dave's "little things" song
If I were her I'd sure be impressed if you found me. :) Best of luck! |

Any news?? Have you seen her again?
	 |

 nope
	 |

so, she was a black chick?
that would be hard to find because think of all the major schools in d.c. with AKA chapters then, think of the smaller, private schools with AKA chapters man, good luck |
