i rarely venture over here to IOTA ave. but i had to make an exception today...
i just wanted to send you all a big ol' shout out, because i SWEAR, i must have been an IOTA heart in my past life or something because i really have a deep admiration for the fraternity and for the brothers rocking the brown and gold. i will tell anybody... no matter where i go... i have never met an IOTA man that wasn't down to earth and totally a gentleman... besides that, GAMMA OMICRON is doing the darn thing at the UNIVERSITY OF FL... keep doing what you do... last year at boule, when we shared the hotel with the IOTAs, it was TIGHT work and it was like one big old family reunion... i love all my brothers in greekdom, but i'm convinced that the b-e-s-t wear gold...
(i'm partial to that color!)

Just had to come through and echo my soror's sentiments.......this past weekend some Iota's from Arkansas came to Memphis for a stepshow. I wasn't at the show, but from what I heard it was all love from the beginning. We all met up to eat afterwards and ended up kicking it the rest of the night. There isn't a chapter here in Memphis, but Iota Phi Theta is definitely welcome here anytime......much Golden Love!!

I just wanted to give a reply also. I absolutely LOVE Iotas. I think yall are great and I love the motto "building a tradition not resting upon one" I think that says a lot to everyone. I just wish we had Iotas at my school (Xavier Univ of Louisiana). Anyways I just wanted to give you greetings again from the Ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc.

I just wanted to give the Brothers of Iota Phi Theta a shout out. I am new to this website and the first order of business for me was to give you guys best wishes. Your motto "Building a tradition and not resting on one" is definetely the way I have seen Iota Men carry themselves. They always are kind hearted and goal-oriented. You guys have respect from myself and others that you have graced your presence with. Nothing but love.....(from a non-greek). Wishing many great things to come to and from your organization. :)

I'm here!! I attended the reception Wednesday night at the Derek Hotel (good choice ;)) and met a lot of Iotas. My SoRHOrs and I are going to the Sky Bar tonight. I look forward to meeting more of y'all!!

Over the last three/four years, I have the pleasure of meeting and/or working with some real classy, intelligent gentlemen, in Detroit as well as Chicagoland. Your President, Steve Birdine is huge contribution to my school (Lake Forest), being not only a speaker, but a motivator/educater who strives for the betterment of (particularly Black) today's collegiate (did I spell that right?). He is a regular at my school, but I also got the opportunity to see him at the Big XII Black Student Government Conference at OU at a town hall meeting for all Greeks (I wasn't Greek then, but his words transcended the Black Greeks, and made a difference, for me at least).

Also, while working at a voter registration drive downtown, I met some of the Iota's from the area and they were more more than gracious to help out. They are also hosting a step show this weekend for the Negro Baseball League tour, and while I won't be in attendance, I know that it will be a great affair. They know what it takes to "build upon a tradition!"
