Wendy has a new show on VH1. Has anyone been watching?

I watched the first show. I thought it was pretty entertaining. I had never heard the rumor about Tyson and Derek Jeter. But it was fun watching him takes off his shirt. :) I'll definitely watch again. I think I have a second addiction, the first being GC, reality TV. :o

Who is Wendy Williams? I saw this listed in TV Guide and all I could think of was the Wendy O. Williams that used to be in the Plasmatics (wh has since died). I'm soooooo outa the loop. ;)

She's a DJ from the NY area. She is known for getting the good scoop from hip-hop and R&B artists such as Foxy Brown, Whitney Houston, etc. She is also known for having the hottest gossip on artists and often spills the beans.

I watched it last night, she had me cracking up. She has it going on as far as this show, reporting for Honey and VH-1. The book she has coming out on Aug 5th, and she is on the radio in NY, but she still is a very amazon looking man/woman.

I haven't seen the show yet, but I was not a fan of hers when she was DJ on Kiss in NY (back when Kiss would play rap). I don't take her as a real journalist, but more as neighborhood gossip.

Also she used to eat while on the air which I think is unprofessional. I'm glad radio is free

The Tyson/Jeter rumor was one of her big stories a while back on her radio show. The Suge Knight interview was done a few years back and she played the interview on the air as well. So, some of the stuff that was on TV was already heard on the radio, and the rest was pretty recent stuff. I haven't listened to her radio show in at least six months. I can't wait for her book to come out - I know it will be full of pure drama. ;)

I saw it last night too...it was mad funny!

She spreads too many crazy rumors. The reason she first got fired in NY was because she said that Puffy and Mase were gay lovers. The station let her go when Redman punched her in the face for insinuating that he was gay on the radio.

The show is coming on tomorrow (July 12, 2003) at 3:30 p.m. Eastern. I am not sure how many more episodes there will be, but I thought that what I saw was pretty interesting. She said that they were gay, gay, gay and that Tyson had a tattoo of the New York Yankees sign with D.J. right underneath it. Tyson stripped down and said that he didn't have any tattoos of any man on his person (or something like that), but at the end of the show, I think she said that she still thinks that he is gay.

I can appreciate the gossip that WW gets on the stars. But I'm still not feeling her overall approach. The brash, rude way she usually acts is just a turn off from watching her on a regular basis. However, she is a little nicer on the tv show than she is on the radio.

She is going to succeed because people love that rude, disrespecful thing (hence the successs of American Idol with Simon). I wish I had something to compare her with, but since I don't get the radio show in my area, I am going to have to settle for the watered-down version of her on the television. http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/...sp/chefico.gif

Long time we heard from you!! :) I remember when she got fired over the whole "Puff/Mase gay lover" accusations. I remember rumors about her getting into a fight with Angie Martinez around the same time, but I've never heard about the Redman incident - WOW!!!:eek:
I would say though, that she doesn't always come up with the stories herself. There are plenty of listeners in the NY/NJ area who are more than willing to supply her with celebrity stories, because they know that she will take the stories and run with them, whether appropriately or not, and depending on her personal relationship with the celebrity in question. At one point I stopped listening to her because she would question just about everyone's sexual orientation and I couldn't for the life of me understand her obsession.

It could be something as simple as her being gay. Those who continue to talk about it and harp on it and make a big deal about it and say that everyone else is just might be gay themselves. http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-015.gif

I was trying to figure out why she thought Robert Dinero was being rude. She asked him a question and he answered it, now had he kept walking and not acknowledged her at all then I would have understood her being "done".

I will give it a couple of more episodes, but her show has to get better than this.:rolleyes:

and I have never liked Wendy. I don't like gossip mongers period and she always takes it to the next level. Even when it is not called for. I don't know anything about the show, but anything that has to do with her I stay away from.

I am not knocking the sista from trying to get paid. The media industry makes you hustle like that to keep afloat. But for real, she needs to take some of the drama down a notch. It's just not cute anymore.

CT4 her show comes on Thursdays on VH1 @ 10:30 pm EST, howeva, if you have windows media or anyway to listen to live radio via the net, go to www.wbls.com and click "live radio" because she is on her radio show from 2-6 in the afternoon. And if'n ya ask me, there isn't much of a difference from the show and her Radio Broadcaste.

On the real...who didn't know about Mase/Puffy? Or Method Man/Redman?

No offense to their fans....and yeah, not everything Wendy says is true....but come on....Meth and Red are the hottest couple in hip-hop, lolololol

For REAL! And I thought I was bad about that! Like the first questions she asks everyone is "are you gay?" "Have you ever thought of having relations with someone of the same sex?" I have always wondered abo that. Like if she ever came across a chick that said yes, the interview would be over right then so they could go get it on.

I heard a long time ago that Meth/Redman were gay. Is that true?

If Meth is gay, then he will be considered one of those on the "down low" brothers b/c he married his long time girlfriend/baby mama about two years ago (it was on his birthday too). They had a wedding, a reception and an after reception boat ride party. I got a chance to attend the after party boatride and it was really nice.

The Tyson/Jeter Rumor is off the hook and I had never heard it. But I have heard that Derek Jeter was gay for years... But in the NY newspapers he is always seen with women. Don't know about that one??? Anway who cares???:rolleyes:

Wendy was on the radio in Philly after she left New York. She was on the air for at least six or seven years. I always thought that she was hilarious. I don't really believe anything that she says, but that she has the nerve to say makes me crack up.

She had Destiny's Child on the show right after the first two girls left and she was crazy. She kept calling them "Beyonce and the girls" and Beyonce was getting noticeably upset. She even asked if they were still virgins (at the time they were still about 17 or 18).

She also did a phone interview with Halle Berry around the same time. It had been rumored that when Halle first went to Hollywood, she was in an abusive relationship with a well-known Black actor and she was left deaf in one ear. Well, Ms. Williams asked her if she had ever forgiven Wesley Snipes for taking her hearing away. Halle just hung up the phone.

Yeah, Angie Martinez knocked her out when she said that her then Boyfriend, Q-Tip was gay, but they dropped her when Puffy applied the pressure.

BTW, Wendy Williams has been consistently rebuffed by AKA. She tried twice as an undergrad and keeps begging on the Grad level to no avail. I know I have heard her remark at least 3 times how "those stuck up bytches keep rejecting me". Aint nobody letting her in nothing

My gay cousin deejays at gay nightclubs and writes for a hiphop magazine. He knows whose gay but won't blow (no pun intended) their cover. He even had a "catfight" with Wendy.

I had no clue that she went to college until I read her interview in S2S today. She went to Northeastern. Anyway, she mentioned that her son would become a part of Jack and Jill this summer. She doesn't seem like that JAck and Jill type mom.

She would mention every now and then that both her mom and sister are AKA's, but she would come across as someone who was not interested in becoming a member herself. Wendy would say that some members would call her b/c whenever she would imply that a celeb was gay she would say hold her pinky up and say "pinkies up". Why she chose the pinky finger for that, I have the foggiest idea. :confused:

BTW - I'm being nosey now - what "catfight" did your cuz have with Wendy??? :p ;)
