seeing as there is an entire thread on this i thought i'd give y'all an update... after playing a fun game of phone tag this weekend i finally talked to the boy for about 45 minutes tonight. we are going to get together again on wednesday night. don't know what we're doing yet though, he said he was going to think of something fun and let me know..

Nicole and others, I don't mean to hijack Nicole's thread, but I just needed to vent because I'm going through minor boy irritations.

A few weeks ago I met a guy through my boss.
Art was a former baseball player of his. Since our first meeting, he'd stop by the office just to say hi. We decided to exchange phone numbers one day and we've been in touch, but for the most part, it's been phone tag.

Friday I decided to stop being chicken isht and I invited him to hang out with me and the friends at the bar I work at. He said he was going to come by but after he met up with some of his old teammates. He ended up not showing up because he had too much to drink, and someone already took his keys away.

He called to apologize yesterday and again we made plans to go out with some friends. At around 9PM, he called to say that he couldn't find his wallet and his roommate hasn't come back yet w/ his car.

Is he just a flake that has a million and one excuses up his butt or could it be just dumb luck? I don't know.

We decided that this work week was going to be too impossible to hook up, as we both have two jobs each. He said that he'll take me to dinner wherever I want on Friday. His exact words were "Wow...I can't believe I'm going out with a dope ass chick like Sandy..."

I don't know...with what's happened so far...I won't be too surprised if it doesn't happen. If it will...Friday seems like an eternity away.

I really feel like I'm in high school again. :eek:

ROFL Lynn. Growing up with Jessie Spano of Saved By the Bell made me think back then that women should NOT be called "chicks". But the term dope ass is a compliment. To me, anyway. ;)

So the boy called me at work. :D We're hanging out tonight. We still don't know where we're going, but I have a feeling it'll be dinner at CPK and then drinks at the MaiTai Bar and listening to my favorite band play.

Our boss was there when he was on the phone with me, so I imagine that our date tonight will be the hot convo topic at work on Monday. Luckily we don't work in the same office. He's one building over.

so i think this is what you wanted to know....

i called the boy when i got home last night, i was kinda nervous but i forced myself too! he said he was just getting ready to call me! and he told me that him and a few of the guys were going to try to get red sox tickets for the game on monday night and he wanted to know if i wanted to go. so i said yes, because i NEVER turn down an invite to see the red sox!! we didn't talk for too long though because he was still in nh. one of his good friends from school who is in the air force has a weekend pass so him and a couple of his other friends were going to go meet up with her and go out.

OH MY GOSH I HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME LAST NIGHT!!!

We did dinner and drinks at CPK. Over dinner we got to know each other better...stuff he probably couldn't have found out from work. After dinner, we decided to do more cocktails at the MaiTai Bar, where we ended up meeting up with some of our friends from school. As if that weren't enough, somehow we got suckered into going to the bar I work at to sing some karaoke. He got to meet my night job bosses as well as some of my regular customers.

The night ended at his place over ice cream and watching the first episode of CSI on DVD.

This might be a little too soon after the first date, but I already agreed to make him lasagna tonight for dinner. ;)

The boy and I both work today, so he's taking me to lunch. Hopefully it won't be on-campus.

Getting burgers and going to the beach for an hour...if I get my way, that's what we'll do.

tonight was so much fun... i think i'm really starting to fall for the boy.. and not like the fall i took on wednesday night when i was with him!

things seem to be going really well with me and the boy. i was bored on sunday so i called him and he wasn't really doing anything so i invited him over. we had a nice lazy sunday of lying on the couch and watching movies. and i cooked dinner! i can't cook for shit, so i was pretty impressed with myself. granted, it was only this pasta thing, but it still came out well!

last night we went to the red sox game with a few people that he works with. a few of his really close friends also happened to be at the game. he took me over to where they were sitting and introduced me and then we met up with them after the game and went to a bar near the park. his friends were so nice and one of them said that i was real classy and that the boy needed to keep me around... all because i drink amstel light! :) he also asked what i was doing saturday night. a friend of his called and said she wanted to get a few people together to go out so he asked me to go with him.

so as i said before, i think i'm really falling for this guy. it's kinda scaring me but at the same time making me real happy!

Sandy, sounds very promising with your guy. They say that more and more couples meet at work these days.

Hi mu_agd, hope you don't mind me commenting on your love life, but Sandy can vouch for me, we're chapter sistahs. :cool: Sounds like like your guy is hooked too, he's making future plans while on the date. Good sign. :D
