Biggest Guilty Pleasures
 

My list goes on and on and on, but here are my biggest ones as of now (most of them are entertainment related because those are what came to mind first)...

Diet Coke- I am SERIOUSLY addicted. I need at least 3 a day and I know its horrible for me and I should be drinking water, but I CAN'T. Ever since I experienced Coca Light in South America, I've been addicted. ;)
American Idol- I'm OBSESSED! Of course, I watched every episode... and then I would download their performances and listen to them over and over. And I voted... A LOT. I've been to the first American Idol concert and I'm going to the second one at the end of July. I saw From Justin to Kelly (but mainly because seeing Justin dance horribly is the greatest thing in the world) and I looove Kelly Clarkson's cd. And I bought Clay's single. Woo.
Speaking of Justin Guarini- He is SO bad, he's good! He's just so comical. He's so damn cheesy and he's the lamest dancer (need proof? watch his PYT performance!), but I am just so fascinated with him. It's almost like a trainwreck- so bad, but you have to watch! And yes, I've downloaded his songs too. Mostly his cheesy performances, though. He's the ultimate pick-me-up for my roommates and I. You can't NOT laugh at him. :)
American Juniors- I think its related to my American Idol obsession. I watch this show all the time and vote when I can. I was waaaaay too excited yesterday when the first person was voted into the group. But, she was my favorite underdog! :)
America's Next Top Model- Okay, this show is SO good. I like how its focused more on the interaction between the girls and how they do their job, rather than the competition and the backstabbing and betrayal of the other reality shows. The girls aren't out to purposely screw the other girls over and mess them up. Well, most of them aren't anyway. It's just great fun.
Cheesy music- We're talking bad 80's music, sappy ballads, soft rock, love song requests, cheesy pop, all of that stuff. Bryan Adams, Meatloaf, Celine, Journey, one-hit wonders, Aaron Carter, hair bands, etc.
VH1- I Love The 80s and The Greatest... especially. I could watch those for hours! I've seen every episode of I Love The 80s and most of them more than once. They're so great! I just love their countdowns and the interviews they have etc. Nostalgia.
On the same track... The 80s- LOVE! The music, the movies and the TV from the 80s are the GREATEST.
The Disney Channel- Mostly Lizzie McGuire (I'm obsessed!), but it's all so entertaining and good.
Hilary Duff and Amanda Bynes- I say I "hate" them. But, that's just code for me being extremely jealous of them. Hilary has her own show, her own album, her own hit movie, her own fashion line, awesome style, she's super cute and HELLO?! She's only 15! I wish I were 1/16th as cool at 15 as she is now. And Amanda Bynes is SO cool also. I went to a taping of her show and she's not only super talented, but she's hilarious also! Seriously, she's so funny in person. Add the super cute style, great personality, hit movies, her own TV shows and her looks all at 17 and you get a very jealous me. Did you guys see the new Vanity Fair cover? "Hate" them all. Except for the Olsen twins, I really geniunely DO dislike them.
TLC- Trading Spaces (mmm Ty!), What Not To Wear and all the 'Story' shows... sooo great!
AIM and AOL- It's actually kinda sad, really. I'm just addicted. I can spend hours doing NOTHING online.
Purses- I could blow most of my work money on a designer bag. It's sick, really.
Shopping- I love it... and I'm good at it. Which sucks, because then I want to keep doing it. :rolleyes:

Okay, so my embarassing guilty pleasures are out. I feel like such a loser. And it makes it sound like all I do is lounge around and watch TV and be a huge lazyass. I swear I don't watch THAT much TV!

Designer purses
Yankee Candle and any other good scented candles (not the cheap kind)~ honestly the amount of money i've spent this past month on candles is insane but I can't stop!

I have a new one -- Ben & Jerry's vanilla heath bar crunch ice cream. OMG, it's the best thing, ever.

I have a very odd addiction to chocolate chip cookie dough--the pre-packaged Pillsbury stuff. HomestarRunner is another guilty pleasure of mine. I waste a LOT of time watching the cartoons on that website (www.homestarrunner.com). I have an addiction to buying lipstick and lipgloss. That one can get expensive...*:D

I had to control my collecting of "Gone In 60 Seconds" memorablia.... :o It peaked when I bought a movie-size poster in Italian...and well..TKE209 bought me a flyer of it in Japanese...:D

Well there's my lipgloss obsession. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Lancome Juicy Tubes, I have owned over 25 of them at some point in my life, I am addicted to them, seriously. I always have to have at least 5 or 6 full ones at a time.

I loveeeeee 80's music, really cheesy pop music, and sappy country music....the best!

The color pink! My part of the room always looks like bubblegum exploded over it b/c I buy anything and everything that is PINK!

Red nailpolish, I own over 40 different varieties of red nailpolish, I refuse to paint my nails any other color.

Sprinkles! I usually have more sprinkles in my bowl than ice cream, and I'll eat them plain too!

GLITTER!!! I am so cheesy but I LOVE GLITTER!!! If something is cool it can always be made 10 times cooler by adding some glitter or glitter paint or something. BONUS if it is PINK and glittery!!!

Iced tea with NO sugar just lots and lots of lemon, I drink this stuff like it's going out of style, it's sick really

Brushing my teeth. I am OBSESSED with my teeth, I want them to be perfectly white, I think I brush them 6 times a day just b/c I love to do it! :eek:

ICE CREAM!!! I am seriously an ice cream monster, I LOVE ICE CREAM!!! I eat it everyday, at either lunch or dinner. Luckily I go to the gym everyday too so that kind of evens it out. I love all flavors but ESPECIALLY mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream....WITH SPRINKLES!!! :D

Word of caution...be sure to brush GENTLY...if you brush too hard, over time, you will get gum retraction, which leads to exposed root surface and YOUCH! You get sensitive teeth.
I used to brush my teeth hard and noticed tooth sensitivity around age 26...just be careful, 'k?! :D

My guilty pleasure is reading The National Enquirer when I am at the hair salon.

Definitely one of my more recent obsessions.... it makes me feel better when I'm at work, and I've begun to addict co-workers, too.

I'm obsessed with my hair straightener. Seriously, if I had to take one thing to a desert island, that would be it (even if I didn't have an outlet).

I'm obsessed with Jack Johnson and John Mayer music... again, makes me relax and always feel better.

Lately I've become more obsessed with lipgloss. Can't go without something (even plain chapstick) for more than like 5 minutes... the only time I don't mind is when there's a really awesome, cute boy that I can kiss... then I can deal without the lipgloss.

Oh yeah, secretly addicted to the Disney Channel. When I'm by myself I always watch it, but as soon as a roommate walks in ZAP! the channel gets changed.
SHOES- I have WAAAAAAAAY too many, and some only go with one outfit.
Also I'm a closet Brittney Spears Fan. I'm all like, "no i hate her" but everytime i'm at the used CD store, I pick up the album, but stop short of buying it...and i have downloaded almost every album off the internet anyway.

Disney Channel (Lizzie McGuire)-And I don't even try to hide it. (My roommate thinks I'm insane).

Fanfiction.net- The Lizzie McGuire and Daria sections....it can't be healthy to be so obsessed over canceled TV shows that you make your own episodes up...

GC AIM Chats-I sit in the chat room even if I'm not paying attention...

Opera- Yes, I actually LOVE opera...I've spent way too much money on it... (CD's and music scores, I actually am an opera singer...)

I like to mix heavy whipping cream with a lot of sugar and pour it into a piece of Tupperware. I freeze it and then have a yummy homemade popsicle! Just a tad fattening, I would imagine but that's why it's a guilty pleasure.

Also, I like to mix sour cream, sugar and vanilla together and just eat it with a spoon. I can go through a 16 ounce carton of sour cream in one sitting.

Once my metabolism goes, I'm in big trouble!

Flowers-I have spent a small fortune in our (MY) yard. I have something blooming the entire year so I can decorate.

Decorating for holidays esp.Christmas-My house is so decorated that "opulence" has been used to describe it. I put Nandina berries on EVERY little thing.
In fact, I have decorations of some sort up starting in October through Easter. I keep layering through Mardi Gras and remove the layers heading into Easter.

Junk shops/antique stores-I love pouring over discarded items, always thinking of how I could turn something into a creative alternative or wondering about the people who owned it. I loath items that are mass produced and people flock to buy.

baskin robbins hot fudge sundaes with chocolate ice cream. (don't need it, but love it)
real green chiles in everything, but ice cream. no jalapenos.
watching trading spaces, listening to show tunes on the digital channel.

mmcat-I really should have said "Trading Spaces" too! I honestly LOVE that show and it inspires me!

I also should have said Tobasco sauce! When I was pregnant, I couldn't get enough of it! I STILL love it!... (burp )

when i had students who were into pro wrestling, i regularly watched wwe wrestling. gave us something to talk about.
didn't have any last year, thank goodness.

I love MTV reality shows....MADE, TailDaters, FL, SL, RW/RR, all those shows!

I love taco bell nachos bellgrande with lots and lots of hot sauce

Iced Tea...it's gotta be sweet tea though, and it's gotta be done the southern way of adding sugar while it's hot!

Popsicles...I love the flavor-ice (the bags of sugar water)...so so good!

Pink...I'm obsessed...it helps that I work at Pottery Barn Kids so I can decorate in all pink...haha.

I love ben kweller...he's so cute for some reason and his music makes me so happy.

The song "21 Questions" by 50 Cent...haha...the best rap lyric ever is in that song "I love you like a fat kid love cake" :D

I canNOT say no to Graeter's ice cream- especially their black raspberry + chocolate chunk flavor.

Graeter's is this regional ice cream place.. that is sooooooooooo freakin good. With chunks of dark chocolate in it (hence the name).

Also, dark chocolate in general.

My guilty pleasures include women, Spicier Nacho Cheese Doritos, and Eggs, in no particular order. And when I say eggs, I don't know what you people call it but I sorta just beat a raw egg, add chocolate mix, and eat it.

Hello Kitty - the more stuff I get, the more I want. Except I go for the rare, collectors stuff. Boy and I blew over $50 on two wine glasses with HK etched in them (they're to be used at our engagement party next month) because they were a set that you could only get by spending over $200 at a Sanrio store.

Pocky - if you haven't had it, get to an Asian market and try some. super-tasty goodness.

Lizzie McGuire- man, I wanna be that cool when I grow up.

Every once in awhile, I still listen to my Spice Girls CD.

I also LOVE to brush my teeth. I love the feeling of my teeth being shiney and clean--if I could go to the dentist every week for a cleaning, I would. My dentist also laughes at me because I am always asking if my teeth look yellowed-- and want him to whiten. He tells me I obviously don't know what yellow is-- and he cannot whiten my teeth-- they are too white to begin with.

Guilty Pleassures would also include---

raspberries-- fresh berries-- just eat them plain-- yummm....

I also love to read trashy magazines and watch "women's TV" - WE, Oxygen, Lifetime.

One of my most favorite guilty pleasures is a long hot bubble bath with candles, music, one of my afore mentioned trashy magazines, and a glass of wine (or two, or three. . .).

GIRL! i used to work at graeter's when i was in hs.....and rasp choc chip is the BEST ever....that and their cookies and cream b/c it has huge chunks of oreo cookies in it.

oreos....my biggest guilty pleasure/weakness....i am a huge oreo fanatic!

I love to buy things on sale. I hate to pay full price especially for clothes now that they are taxed.

Up until this season, The Real World. After the Vegas crew, I highly doubt any season will be as good, so I haven't watched the Paris season. And I love the Real World/ Road Rules Challenges too!

Cleaning. I have to have everything clean and orderly for me to do anything (even pay bills). Some people might call this an obsession...but I swear it's not. I just like things neat!

You know the CCCD that comes in the squares so all you do is "Break and Bake"? My sisters and I used to make late-night runs to the grocery store, and we would just break and eat....
