I've been waiting 6 weeks to finally go back home, and on Sunday I finally get to. Home to me happens to be a little college town, pop. 6,000 in the summer. How sad am I? But hey, it's where all the fun people are this summer, not to mention half of my House! Sorry, but I just had to share.

I think EVERYONE knows I'm excited about my tattoo I got on Thursday. It was my first and it didn't even hurt one bit!!! And if there's anyone left that hasn't seen a pic of it yet, http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/...1172&members=1 There you go.

Thats all I've had to be excited about really. Heh.

Anyway ... what AM i excited about? uhmm ... Rugrats go wild was a WICKED cute movie (yea Im from Massachusetts ;)) AND I got to go see it with my girlfriend. Thats the excitment in my life currently.

ok i just got back from my first orientation leader retreat and i had the best time with people i didnt know, but now i feel like i know each and everyone one of them. im not the outdoorsy type but i actually went hiking and did a lot of tiring activities. we did a lot of team builders and i got to know a lot of people that i didnt know before. like almost 80% of OLs are greek and its just comfortable to know that we as greeks are very active in school. i also met some wonderful gdis that made me smile throughout the retreat. i just wanted to tell eveyone about my weekend:D oh yeah are you guys in any other organization on school besides of sigkap?

well, i went to a club with my cousin on thursday, chilled friday, took a test for some job on sat. and on sunday.....well i finally got to see my boy. let's just say we only came up for air once or twice. :eek: :D so it was a good weekend

I'm back in Pullman now! And today I had to go to court to contest a ticket ($86- failure to yield.. blah blah) and I got a ruling of not guilty! Not that I'm $86 richer, mind you, but at least I don't have a ticket to pay now.

so i had an interview today for a switchboard operator position for the county. tomorrow i have an interview with a tv station in dayton for a master control operator position. i also received a call from a station in memphis asking for a copy of my resume tape. and i got a request from a station in alabama for a resume tape. then when i got home from my interview today w/ the county, i got a phone call from them for a second interview. i'd say that's pretty exciting news. my hard work is finally paying off.

ps - oh yeah, and i think the humane society called me about a position i applied for cuz the number was on the caller id, but there was no message on the machine.

Shelley - where is the station in Alabama? I'm in B'ham.

it's in birmingham, but i haven't heard anything back from them since i sent the tape.
oh well, not really an issue. i just interviewed today with the humane society in dayton and want that job so badly. screw my industry. i like working a job where i can have a cat or dog sit in my lap while i work. ;)
but either way i'll keep yall update.

i just heard we are having three transfer student coming to unlv. they are gonna go to recruiment retreat and meet everyone:D one of them is from bowling green university and is the greatest, cuz she came and visited in the winter. the other two are from univ of hartford. our pres is keeping in contact with them and they are so excited theres a sigma kappa chapter here. yeah for transfer students:D

the bg chapter is cool. being a from a fellow ohio school we did stuff w/ them every once in a while.

okay, i think this is the best place to post this.

my exciting news: I HAVE A NEW JOB!!!!
i got 2 offers. one from a station in dayton and the other from the humane society of greater dayton. i decided to go with the humane society. it doesn't pay as much, but the schedule is better and i love the work. i start on wed.

also, got to go see phantom of the opera yesterday at the schuster center in dayton. it was absolutely incredible. if it comes to your area, i highly suggest going.

just got back from california!!!! it was a lovely holiday weekend. went to my uncles 50th wedding anniversary and watched the fireworks. i wanted to go to the beach,but that didnt happen. thank goodness for DigitalAngel126 keeping our board alive. thats it from me:D

One of my best friends is coming into town today to move apartments this week. I haven't seen her since May, when school got out, and now we get to party for a whole week! I think that it may be time to invent the moving drinking game... ;)

i'm headin up to arts fest in good ol state college pa on thursday!!! i'm excited, cuz since i spent the semester in london and am in colorado for the summer, i haven't seen my sisters in FOREVER!!!! so i get to see my girlz this week end. woo hoo! time to party it up sig kap style!

Ok... here is my big news... I get to see Kenny Chesney on Sunday night!!! I am just soooooo excited b/c since I intern at the place he is performing, I might get the chance to eat dinner with him (but i can only talk to him if he talks to me first) but dont worry ladies, he will want to talk to me... who doesn't want to talk to a Sig Kap ;)

I'm having surgery tomorow. Now, most people wouldn't put that under exciting news, but this has been 10 years coming, and I am damn excited... and nervous, but who wouldn't be! I also moved out of my apartment in Pullman and am back in Oly for my recovery, so bring on the boredom for 3 weeks!

Thank you so much for your support ladies! It means so much to me. Well, this is my second surgery of the summer, both about 10 years in the making. Long story short: I was born with a cleft lip**, and was attacked by a dog the day before my 11th birthday.
As a result, I have scars on my face, and have had many visits with dentists to adjust teeth. This summer, I got a bone graft and had the last part of my cleft closed (a small hole between my gums and nose). The surgery tomorrow is to do one of the final scar revisions. I have been waiting 10 years to get to this point, and I am so excited that everything is finally getting done.

** My cleft was small compared to many I have heard about. A cleft is basically a split that leaves you with no lip, gums, bone, or teeth in the area of the split. Sometimes, it goes as far as to cleft the pallet (roof of your mouth) Mine was just lip, tooth and gum. Clefts appear suprisingly often, about 1 in 100 births.

I already posted this in the Joe thread, but it's still 'exciting news' too!!! :) I have a date tonight! That's all I got. :)

I just got the best early birthday present from my boyfriend - Gas money so I can drive and spend my birthday with him! (I'm broke, and everyone is either working or already in Pullman for my birthday :( ) And of course, dinner! (He's a GREAT cook, so I'm really looking forward to this!) The only down side is that I have to drive back at 5am on Friday so I can go to a Bridesmaid's luncheon at a country club at 12:30 and the rehersal dinner that night. (5 1/2- 6 hour drive, and I'm the maid of honor!)

But if you could see me right now, I look like this :D

okay, here's my exciting news.

i got to play with a tiger cub today. i work at the humane society of greater dayton and we had a tiger cub brought in today from a cruelty/neglect case. it is so cute. if someone helps me, i can post the pic of me with it on the web.

That is so cool!! Wild cats like that look so cute and cuddely when they are cubs. I hope you get a pic posted!!

Today is the first day of school, and even though I'm a grad student I'm still excited. I love the first day of school.

I have decided to go ahead and share my exciting news. Yesterday was Bid Day and I received a candle lighting because my boyfriend of over a year lavaliered me. It was so awesome. My entire sorority family came rushing at me to congratulate me. It was a night I will never forget.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HOW CUTE:D :D :D :D :D . congrats.....so what fraternity is it???? inquiring minds would like to know....
