Okay peeps, the latest "reality show" (yes, I must admit that I like the ones that are concerned with dating and relationships...LOL)

Here's the deal:
Follow a group of eleven single men and women who are given the opportunity of a lifetime -- to live together in the most exclusive resort ever created. But paradise doesn't last forever… Each week, one hotel guest will be eliminated to make room for someone new.

The audience will have an ongoing opportunity to become participants on PARADISE HOTEL. Viewers at home can become the new guests of the hotel by logging onto this website for a chance to become a contestant. Contestants play a unique studio game where the hotel guests decide which contestant will come join them at PARADISE HOTEL. The studio winner will literally leave immediately after the show, and fly off to the resort to appear on the next episode! Perhaps you will be the next one to be pampered and spoiled beyond your wildest dreams at the exotic, sun-drenched PARADISE HOTEL!

New episodes will air on Mondays 9pm/8c and Wednesdays 9pm/8c. On Monday shows, find out who has been kicked out of the hotel while the in-studio contestants compete to become the newest addition to the guest list. Then on Wednesdays, watch along with the studio audience as every tantalizing moment unfolds at the hotel in the aftermath of the elimination. Meanwhile, at the hotel, it is the goal of every guest to remain in paradise for as long as possible.

I taped it on Wednesday and watched it on Thursday. It's kind of intriguing, but I don't like how people are pressured to "hook up" or risk being kicked out of the hotel.

For the guests, I think Andon is kind of sexy. He has that Charlie Sheen thing going on.

Ok, I'll admit it. I watched it on Wenesday and I couldn't switch the cahnnel. I'll watch it again if I catch it. Am I wrong, or is that Toni girl the bug-eyed girl from Love Cruise? (I know, I watch a lot of reality TV). Plus, I feel bad for Amy and I think from what I've seen of Zack, he's an idiot...

I didn't watch "paradise hotel" ... the idea just sounded sleazy... but that's just my opinion :)

Let's discuss Episode #2!
 

so Episode #2 was on Monday and Episode #3 is tonight! Somehow, Charla managed to not get cut from Paradise Hotel. I wonder how the new guy with the big schnoz will fare? Mind you, he is to be commended for losing 69 lbs. - that is quite an accomplishment. From the 'stay tuned for scenes from the next episode', it looks like he will mix it up quite a bit by playing the girls off of each other.

I missed it!!! Who got kicked off? I will definitely try to watch it tonight if it doesn't interfere with my Giants game! ;)

WEEK 2

Beautiful people, exotic setting, good food and drink -- just another day in paradise. But this Paradise has plenty of action and drama. The guests get massages in the spa. So how come no one is relaxed? Because it's elimination time, and Charla's on a quest to break up one of the couples to ensure that she'll survive. Andon comes up with a brilliant solution to keep Charla at the hotel. He basically informs her that there is a strong possibility for her to hook up with him. Subtle.

Party girl Melanie proposes that they all have a "butt check" contest. In other words, she wants to squeeze all the men's asses without being sued for sexual harassment. Not surprisingly, all the other women agree heartily. Zack takes the prize. (Did Amy stuff the ballot box?) Beau and Alex commend themselves for not even making it into the top three butts at the hotel. There was also a contest for the best female booties. You'll have to see that one in our Subscription Video section…

Amanda tells Beau that her mom will think he's adorable. That loud ringing you hear is the sound of wedding bells in her head. Beau sweats profusely, and it's not from the tropical heat. He says that he knows that they "connected," but that he also wants to "connect" with other women. Beau asks for at least one week when they are not joined at the hip. Amanda is rightfully pissed off. She was under the impression that he was into their pairing as much as she was. Amanda answers by sleeping in the side bed. Beau has to walk out of the room to get away from her.

Sitting by the pool, Zack asks Charla to go to her room. They get under her covers and she kisses him. Suddenly, Andon casually strolls up to Charla's door in his boxer shorts. His knock interrupts whatever was about to happen. Zack hides out in the closet, as Andon climbs into Charla's bed to talk. Andon tells her that she is gorgeous and that he and Toni are definitely not a couple. He hopes that it is Melanie getting kicked out instead. This is another proof of Andon's subtlety in action. Meanwhile, Zack is still in the closet while this late night conversation occurs. Place your bets on whether Zack is flexing to himself in the closet's mirror.

The next morning at breakfast, Charla is given an invitation. She is being sent on a private luxury excursion with the man of her choice. Whomever she picks cannot refuse. She approaches Andon -- right in front of Toni. Does Charla not understand that Toni can snap her in two? Andon, the big lug, is pleased that Charla chose him. Toni is angry and does push-ups to blow off steam. She is still saddled with worry over Charla hooking up with her Cro-Magnon man and forcing her to leave. On his date, Andon is psyched that he gets to ride on a big, shiny yacht. He's even more excited that Charla is all touchy-feely with him while they're alone. She's got her red-taloned hand on his thigh the entire time. But when the boat pulls up to an island, Charla gets sick and hurls four times in a row. Sexy! She asks Andon for help and accidentally calls him Alex. Does Charla not understand that Andon can snap Alex in two? Either way, Charla is not impressed with Andon's behavior. She deems him too self-centered, and decides that she doesn't want to get any closer to the tattooed wonder.

Back at the hotel, Amy tells Zack that she thinks he is cool but that she feels awkward around him. She's still not over the fight they had when he was disappointed that she picked him. "Sorry that I wasn't good enough for you," she says. Zack questions that notion in light of them having sex the first night there. Zack says that this conversation is like "talking to a mime." What? Amy calls him an ass. At least that comeback makes sense.

All of the girls are given notes explaining that they will have to pack up because they may have to go home. Charla goes into overdrive, and turns her affection on Scott. Can he smell her new perfume? Eau de Desperation. Host Amanda leads the group through the next bedroom selection and the first elimination. She informs Charla of a surprise rule that says no one will be kicked out if they have not yet had a roommate. Charla definitely gets to stay! She will now break up a couple by making her own selection from the men. Charla goes for Scott, telling Melanie not to take it personally. None of the women are allowed to pick Scott because of this new surprise rule. The rest hook up with the men that brought them there. Toni sticks with Andon, Kristin grabs Alex, Amanda squeezes Beau, and Amy returns to Zack, even though he was a complete jerk to her. With no guys left and Scott removed from the equation, Melanie must go to one of her girlfriend's men. Melanie chooses Beau, much to the dismay of Amanda. Beau is speechless. He likes them both but he ultimately places his necklace on Amanda. Melanie walks off alone, exiting Paradise Hotel for good. Charla cries. Alex wipes a tear. Toni bawls relentlessly.

The next evening, the cast is transmitted live via satellite to Los Angeles where a studio audience has been watching the shenanigans. Charla describes why she chose Scott, and when she reaches back to lovingly touch him, she almost grazes a forbidden area. We are introduced to the two possible male replacements for Melanie. Tom is a bartender from New Jersey. He adoringly shows off his two girly-dogs. Tom claims that none of the guys at the hotel would be competition because he could get any girl he wanted. Dave is a marketing consultant from Boston. He just lost 69 pounds last year and is feeling good about his body (except for his nose and ears, which he hates). The guests now have a chance to grill the potentials. Amanda gets Tom to shake his rear, and Zack accuses Tom of using alcohol to lure women. Tom calls Zack a baby for hiding in Charla's closet. Good thing Zack doesn't understand the joke. Beau and Tom almost come to blows via satellite. Innocent Dave makes a sweet, heartfelt plea to the hotel guests. Tom gets aggressive and says that the other guys are afraid of a challenge because he wants to come there to stir things up. The girls giggle, but it is ultimately their decision because they have the power in picking the man. Amanda is the spokesperson, and tells Tom that, although they like his dogs, they are welcoming Dave to their humble abode. The guys all applaud. Host Amanda informs Dave that, when he arrives at Paradise Hotel, he can choose any one of these girls and she will be automatically be his roommate. Dave is ecstatic. But will he fit in with the tight-knit gang?

Dave looks like a zoo animal.

Anyways - Isn't is against most reality show policies that if you have been a contestant on another show, you can not appear on another one? Oh wait, this is fox. Poor girl, she had 15 minutes of fame and still couldn't find a man - what makes her think 15 more minutes is going to do it? Hasn't she figured out that if Fox made perfectly matched couples - there would be no drama. It is like going on Blind Date and actually pexcting for the producers to put you with your perfect match.

I didn't watch it last night - I didn't know they were airing it twice a week. The other guy was so much cuter though, and he was probably putting up a tough guy front just to be fun - why on earth did they pick Dave?

I LOVE trashy TV! It's the best! I readily admit I tape shows so I can watch them when I have time. Let's just say I'm glad I have 8 slots on my VCR timer! I watch too much TV!

I do not like Dave, they should have picked Tom. He was a cutie pie, but I dont think the girls liked his attitude, i think he was just trying to be funny. Dave was putting up an act as the nice guy just for them to pick him.

You don't openly ask someone you met THAT day how many people they had sex with. And god everytime I look at him he makes me want to vomit. Poor girl, I couldn't sleep in that room either. I really was appalled by Dave's behavior. You do not try to get on people's good side by acting like a jackass. I think he'll be the next one kicked off and will be very shocked if it's not him.

So far, my favorite is Amy. She just seems like a total sweetheart, and she deserves much better than Zack. The way he acted all pouty when she came to him last when she came back from her date was so childish. He didn't care about her at all when he got "stuck" with her. Toni is just bossy. I know there are time when she means well, but she come across as a controlling bi***.

It's too bad that Andon is gone. He was kind of sexy, in a bada$$ sort of way. Toni is just too much...she was wailing like a Sicilian widow when Andon got the boot - sheesh, enough already.

OH I'm with you Rudey on the childhood problems AND the new girl is not as attractive as some of the others. I THOUGHT the men VOTED her on the show. Am I wrong? Or, is their taste really all in their mouth?

They did. This show isn't really about lust though in my opinion. It's about winning. Can't you just smell that in the air? That's winning! :) We don't know why they chose her. They also talked about how there was nothing to her personality right before she arrived. Of course the other girl they could have chosen wasn't too great, but I still think was cuter. I think the next show will be more interesting.

OK Dave is growing on me. The fact that he played tennis like that made him cooler. I'm a little upset about what he said about the girl who kissed him though (that's "all he could get"?!?!). One of the radio stations here have been really plugging her since she is a bartender at one of the bars here. She even has that bossy, thinks she bad attitude at work, but I think it's all a front. She also looks very masculine also. And the deep voice doesn't help either.

Do people on reality shows just FORGET that all of america can watch what they are doing, and that, when the show is over, all the people on the show with them will be watching it? she goes on and on talking about how she wants a relationship with beau when this is over... yet is totally hooking up with other guys. Maybe things are different on the west coast (they are from So Cal right?) becase down here, I don't know a single boy who would accept that!

I can't help but watch this show. I watched Love Cruise and recognized Toni right away. I can't stand Charla or Zack. I think Amy is so sweet, she needs to just kick his ass to the curb. I hope this new guy stays around a little longer than Kavita did. I always laugh though when they play the video from Her & Zack'z bedroom when she asks if he wants her and he says, "I guess." I'm like, could you be a little more enthusiastic?? :rolleyes:

are they purposely bringing in people who aren't as attractive as those already there? I mean, the people on Paradise Hotel aren't exactly "Temptation Island" material, but the members of the studio audience they are sending down there are not even "Price is Right" material!!

Zack needs to be punted off the show now. The guy is an idiot.

My question is, what mechanism is in place to make the show actually end? Or does it just continue on for the rest of eternity??
Or maybe till all the "originals" are gone? (Hmmmmmm.)

LOL @ Price is Right material. That was good. I think that these reality shows are popular because there is much more randomness involved and people like that. To take it one step further, the producers are trying to involve the audience and viewers by letting them get on. They can't just say OK only the pretty people can watch our show and compete...they have to open it up.

Now, Kavita looked booty. While she's fugly, I think she got kicked off because she didn't add any character to the show. She was fake from the beginning with her hugs and her talk about being a player. Dave's got a bird nose and is nice but you can tell he's adding something to the show by saying random things when he drinks that cause people to fight. The new musician is gay as hell but he's supposed to hook up with some girls and bring something to the show.

I believe Beau was wearing the Pi Kappa Alpha letters, and he is cute-- but I think Alex is the hottest one. The 2 girls from the audience who will be competing to be the next guest are both prettier than the current girls on the show, so it should mix things up.

OK I was sitting there today a little bored. There wasn't that much going on. I think I'm only entertained when Dave does things. When he annoys people it's pretty fun to watch. The new gay singer is kinda weird in my book. I just realized who Amanda reminds me of...the girl from Seventh Heaven.

I think Scott is a really cool guy though and has a really solid character. Everyone else kinda sucks.

Yeah, I was watching it last night with my roommates [even though this show is totally and completely morally wrong... but I still watch because my roommates watch it and I dont have my own tv... but anyway I digress...]

Yeah... Beau is so cute!! I was like.. oooh he's a Pike [my best friend is a Pike here]. I think it's funny that now since Amanda's ex-boyfriend is here [did you notice how she said, 'I love you'] now Alex and Beau are best friends again, and were like... "yeah if he comes and tries to say something, we're gonna tell him EVERYTHING". I was like... "yeah, you go boys!!"
