Chapter Websites

I like to look at all the different chapter websites. I think the best Sigma Kappa one I've found is Uni. Of Georgia. If you haven't seen it you really should check it out. www.uga.edu/sigkap/

It appears that my chapter is in the
process of making a website. So far, so good!:)

I was really impressed with Auburn's website.

i think everyone know already that im on the pc 24/7. a great way to look at most of the sigma kappa websites is to go to www.cybersigma.org another sigma kappa website i really love is the delta chi chapte at the university of central oklahoma. heres a link to their website www.sigmakappauco.com my chapter only has a private website so only our chapet can see. ohh well

I also love the UGA website. I am the technology chair for Alpha Gamma chapter, and I am going to model a lot of ours after the look of their website. I think it is just so elegant, I love it! The last website we had was designed in 97 I think, very horrible, very old. I'm trying to do the new one, but it's slow going. I wish we had extra money in the budget to just hire someone! ;)

I adore the Alpha Gamma chapter website! Did you code that yourself? If you don't mind my asking, where did you learn how to do that? I'd love to do something similar to that with the Gamma Beta chapter's site [link posted a few up].

I didn't code the layout myself - I wish I had! I found a free layout on Open Source Web Design: http://www.oswd.org/

Here's the link to the design I used: http://www.oswd.org/design/information/id/2364

Everything I do know is self taught. I recommend sites like Lissa Explains ( http://www.lissaexplains.com/ ) and the W3 schools ( http://www.w3schools.com/default.asp ) for HTML/CCS stuff.

Haha, I'm hoping a really computer literate girl comes through rush so I can snag her. ;)

Our chapter recently redid their website - I think it looks awesome!

Our National Website has been updated & has some interesting and cool new features. Make sure you ladies update your information on there. I just did. ;):)

ETA: I am enjoying having my pic on the national website. LOL!

This is the Upsilon chapter's website :) I created this bad boy last year and am currently working on a new domain name...

UofISigKap 07-12-2009 11:05 PM

So it's not a chapter site, but did you check out our snazzy new national site? It must have just gone live!

BetteDavisEyes 07-13-2009 10:33 AM

Yup. They told us at COTS that the new visual identity and website (among other things) would be unveiled after COTS.

It's great isn't it? I love it!

New website just went up today for Zeta Upsilon at Cal Poly Pomona! http://skcalpoly.com/home

BabySnake128 09-01-2010 09:31 PM

What do you all think of chapters getting Twitter accounts?? I've noticed that at least a dozen have one, and it seems to make sense - good promo within the community and for recruitment. I'm PR chair for Upsilon chapter @ Oregon State, and I'm thinking about how to make a stronger image before formal recruitment this year.

NothingBetter 09-02-2010 12:16 PM

As long as they are regularly updated but not annoying, I think they are a cute idea! It would be graet during the year too to remind people about events that need chapter support, or support from the other orgs on campus

BetteDavisEyes 09-24-2011 06:43 PM

Here's the chapter website for my alumnae group. Notice me in a few shots? ;) Haha!
