4) Why you joined (or are thinking about joining) Beta: I was invited to an International rush by a neighbor. The rush brought in enough of us young girls for 3 chapters!
5) Anything else you want us to know: I believe I have found in BSP "the best friends of my life"! I am currently meeting many BSP sisters online! I'm looking forward to reading posts here and meeting more BSP sisters!

4) Why you joined (or are thinking about joining) Beta - I was rushed in Madrid, Spain. Joined with 10 other pledges at the time. I have enjoyed all the friends I have made through the years. I have enjoyed my 25 years of BSP and have held all offices and committees.
5) Anything else you want us to know - I am currently our Chapter Treasurer and Pittsburgh City Council Vice President. I also have the Order of the Rose and Silver Circle. I stumbled across GC last night and signed up.

Why I joined: Saw a neighbors Torch on the coffee table and asked about BSP. Was invited to Founders Day a few weeks later and fell in love with the organization. That was 25 years ago.

Additional information: I joined BSP in Ft Laud Fla. and then moved to Texas away from my family but met the best friends of my life here. Even though some have moved off to the far corners of the USA they remain my closest and dearest friends.

5) Anything else you want us to know- I am 29 and I joined BSP 2 years ago. I have had so much fun with all of my sisters and I look forward to my third year as a member. I'm currently vice president and immediate past president of our chapter. :)

4. why I joined...I was looking for the sisterhood that I had missed in college. I was especially drawn to Beta Sigma Phi's focus on education and friendship. I thought that I might be able to have a positive influence on the sorority and gain a lot from it at the same time.

4) Why you joined (or are thinking about joining) Beta: I joined Beta because the options for sororities on my college campus didn't interest me. I looked back to when I was little when my mom put me in a beauty pagent put on by Beta. I looked into it on the internet and it was something that I was looking forward to doing. I'm so glad that I joined because I love all my sisters!

5) Anything else you want us to know: Friendship is the greatest thing in the world. I'm so glad to call ALL of y'all my sisters!

Why you joined (or are thinking about joining) Beta: My aunt sent my name to Int'l when I first moved to the DFW area. I was 27 and newly married...I loved that I had a way to make instant friends. It was the best and easiest decision I ever made!

Anything else you want us to know: The friendships I have made through this organization have been wonderful! We currently have 3 new pledges and have more wanting to visit. Right now we are at a mighty 10:D

I was 300+ miles from home living in Indianapolis. With three young children I needed an outlet that included other women. A neighbor invited me to a meeting and that was the beginning of many years packed full of great experieces and wonderful friends.

Now a lifetime member, I've been a BSP since 1972 and have been honored with Silver Circle and Order of the Rose. Over the years I've held all chapter offices and served on every committee. I've also served as Recording Secretary and President for Pittsburgh City Council. Most important, I've had the opportunity to serve my community in many different ways and have met the greatest friends in the world.

I joined Beta Sigma Phi in 1988 and have been on MAL just a couple of short times. I just moved to the Scott AFB area after being in Dallas, Tx for 10 years. You Dallas gals are so lucky! There are three small chapters here in this area and I hope to EXPAND them some....

I went through NPC rush (twice), but didn't feel like I fit in with the two sororities on my campus. I found out about Beta (about the time I moved to MD), and it was love at first sight!

4) Why you joined (or are thinking about joining) Beta: A woman I worked with was always talking about her sorority chapter and it sounded like something I would also enjoy so I pledged. That was 27 years ago and I still really enjoy it!
5) Anything else you want us to know: Being involved in an On Line chapter of BSP is a truly awesome experience. To me, it seems that my on line sisters are closer friends that my land chapter sisters. When I helped to co-chair the On Line Gathering in Denver in 2001, I was totally amazed at the instant acceptance and love that permeating that entire three days!

Also, I just joined Greek Chat.com today because of what was written about it on the BSP list.

4.) My mom, a longtime Beta Sigma Phi, secured a legacy membership for me when I was a child, but I didn't make good on that promise until about 5 years ago. At that time I took the steps to help Friendly Venture the first Ritual of Jewels chapter to appear in Chicago in more than 15 years.

5.) We've enjoyed 2 years of successful recruitment, (our chapter went from 5 to 14 members in that time!) and are continuing to hold pledge training sessions over the summer for our 5 newest members. We do dinner meetings ("salad suppers")in each other's homes. The hostess supplies the place, beverages, plates/napkins/silverware and everyone else brings the food. We're supplementing the regular lessons in "Invitation to Life" with additional material from the online sorority resources, http://www.betasigmaphi.org and http://www.betajournal.com. :)
