Who's the Most Powerful Comic Book Superhero and Supervillain?

This ought to be fun....:D :p

Here are my picks:

MOST POWERFUL SUPERHERO: Superman/Silver Surfer (a tie)

MOST POWERFUL SUPERVILLAN: Magneto

treblk 06-13-2003 12:38 PM

most powerful superhero: SheRa
most powerful supervillian: Skeletor

Uh, from He-Man/Masters of the Universe, right?

Lol...and I thought I was the only one who remembered Ol' Man-O-Arms, Orko, and Company.

"By the Power of Greyskull!!!!"

Spawn!

enlightenment06 06-13-2003 11:20 PM

superhero: Spawn
supervillain: Thanos w/ Infiniti Gauntlet

hero: Superman, BUT, he is not immune to magic. I can't think of a powerful magician in the DC universe, though.

villain: Doomsday. The miniseries that explored his origins was tight.

The Original Ape 06-15-2003 10:31 PM

I say it's a toss up between Superman, The Hulk, and Thor(because he's a God).

Most powerful villains would have to include Apocalyse, Galactus, and Magneto(Marvel Comics).

i'll agree with that, he beat up EVERYBODY in the infiniti series...son couldn't be stopped. BTW, how did they beat him, didn't they trick him?

superhero: Superman, even if i think dude is kinda cakish.

sphinxpoet 06-16-2003 12:50 AM

Superhero - Green Lantern
Villan - Joker(complex person)

Not sure of the character's name...

Okay, any fan of X-Men series might know this.

I think the most powerful mutant good be Professor X's son. I think his name might have been Jason, but he is/was more powerful than Professor X.

Yeah he was tricked by Death, whom he was in love with. She jacked the glove from him I think.

I completely forgot about Apocalypse, he is pretty powerful, and so is Darkseid from DC Comics.

Doomsday as the most powerful villain? I strongly disagree.

Actually he defeated the GODs of the universe, defeated Eternity(Soul of the Universe) and made himself a GOD, took Eternity's Place and left the Gauntlet on his Body while he assumed his position and his sister took adavantage of the situation and stole the Gauntlet and made herself whole and well.

I stand corrected. I shall banish myself to the dungeons of Marvel Comics and contemplate my transgression. LOL

Professor X's son was pretty powerful. Wasn't he supposed to be like the most powerful mutant or something like that? He caused the alternate universe right? (This is around when I stopped reading comic books because I think $2.00 for an issue of X-Men is a little ridiculous. Ah, I miss the days of going into a comic shop with a ten dollar bill and come out with enough comics to spend the rest of the afternoon on)

Most Powerful?

I thought the question was who was the most powerful hero/villain? If that be the question, how could those of you that know Marvel mention anybody else but APOCALYPSE? How could Professor's son be more powerful than him?

Apocalypse is powerful, yes. But Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet was straight up GANGSTA!!!

The Original Ape 06-28-2003 01:34 AM

Yeah, but...

They couldn't work 'im one on one! The boy's a BEAST!!!

i promise i'd lose my mind if i had the infiniti gauntlet......forget stealing money, i'm making my own!! i don't have big dreams or nothing, just want to get paid, lol.

sphinxpoet 07-08-2003 11:30 AM

The History Channel had a good documentary about the history of comic books! Check your local listings for the next time it comes on!

enlightenment06 07-08-2003 12:03 PM

Yeah I caught most of it. It's really good. Check it out.

moe.ron 07-26-2003 09:19 AM

Villans: Beyonder and the Anti-Matter (hell, he wiped out half of the DC comic villans and heroes)

Hero: I dunno bout this one, Silver Surfer is pretty powerfull.

The Original Ape 07-26-2003 10:23 AM

Good Choice, but

Apparently many of the people posting to this thread aren't familiar with Marvel's people. I think if you're going to mention The Silver Surfer, you should also mention Galactus--the cosmic Giant that gave him his powers. I think he and Apocalypse are the most powerful beings.

enlightenment06 07-26-2003 06:00 PM

Everyone should check out The Last Emperor's "Secret Wars", espcially the Prince Paul remix. It pits hip-hop emcees against comic books characters. It's hot.

The Original Ape 07-27-2003 03:23 AM

where, bruh?

Where can I check it out at?

enlightenment06 07-28-2003 05:24 PM

See if you can dowload it using WinMx software. Other than that I dunno how to get it.

BlackAdam06 03-30-2006 03:31 PM

Most Powerful Hero: Capt. Marvel (or SHAZAM as people call him)

Most powerful Villain: Black Adam

AKA_Monet 03-30-2006 05:50 PM

I'm into Old Skool Anime

As far as powerful heros: I'd say Battleship Yamamoto's "Tralaina's" Character... Akira wasn't that bad either, but he was a tragic hero... Of course, the original Vampire Hunter D was also a tragic hero, too.

As far as villians: The original Japanese version of Robotech--not that BS on TV. Then the Zeta-Gundam villians. Of course, you cannot alleviate the psycho woman in "Battle of the Planets"...

StarFish106 03-31-2006 09:23 AM

I would say for the villians:

Apocalypse
Lobo
Thanos (possible)

Superheros
Wonder Woman (can't think of anyone else...besides superman)
