Stand Up Comedy is real tv...Finally, a reality show I really want to see! The show, Last Comic Standing, premiered last night in a two hour block on NBC. They had the east and west coast finals (10 finalists picked from each hour) and then those 20 people will compete for ten spots next week in Vegas.

Personally, I thought the West Coast comedians were funnier/more memorable that those from the East Coast. From the west, I liked: the gay guy, the big heavy guy, the shark-sports guys, the Alabama-evolution guy, and the Vietnamese guy. From the east, I liked: the stealing from the gas station guy, the provoked-shark attack guy, the Spanish mother girl, and the black guy.

( don't you like my titles for these people? :p )

I liked the bald 44 year old with the girlfriend.

I liked the woman that Buddy Hackett liked. I think that she was from Wisconsin.

I liked when the guy went out on the street and tried to pick up the woman from Texas who got out of a cab. He is like half the guys that I have met in bars. No wonder I am still single, lol! :p ;)

I liked them too and I agree the west coast was better than east coast comics. I'm gonna have to see it how it plays out. Also i heard that when then get live in the house, it gets nasty as in meanness. Can't wait til next week :)

I LOVED Dat Than (the Vietnamese guy)!!! I'm a sucker for an Asian! :D Also I really liked the Ralphie guy :) "Man, I only have 3 minutes and I just used 2 getting up here..." LOL!!

I didn't like the butch Wisconsin chick..her jeans were bugging me the whole time..and I didn't like the old guy w/the girlfriend...he just irked me for some reason. *shrugs* I just didn't like their material...

Dat Phan was my favorite!!! He was so hilarious...plus the fact that based on their lil interviews they showed, it sounds like he really deserves to be successful.

And I feel you on the WI chick....for all the fuss Hackett made I thought she'd be funnier.

Actually, they don't choose the house people until next week when the East and West are combined in Vegas.

Well, I'm guessing they won't move into the house until two weeks from now...unless they do another 2 hour block. Next week is the east vs. west. They pick the ten to live in the house, and hopefully they'll show longer comedy routines.

I agree Dat Phan was great as well. I'm happy to see his dream is coming true. Pretty much the West Coast has some good comedians. This is one show I don't mind watching.:)

Ok, I have to put my 2 cents in...

i think the black guy who talked about the hurricanes was HYSTERICAL!!!!!! my mom and i were laughing so much at his jokes!!!!!!!

I liked him but I thought the other black guy, who didn't get picked, was funnier. He did the bit about his Jamaican aunt.

I really wish this week had also been two hours, so I could have really enjoyed the comedy routines. I think they picked awesome finalists for the house...except for the blonde girl with the crazy hair. I would have taken Ant instead.

When and what channel is this on? I heard about this show but haven't been able to catch it.

Tuesday nights, on NBC, at 9pm eastern time.

This is the best reality show ever. These people have personalities! Groovy! :)

I liked Dat Phan a lot. The guy who said he has an "inner old man" was funny too. :D

Unfortunately, I missed the show last night.:( But I'll make sure to catch it next week.

The only thing I don't like about this show is that I don't think the voting and elimination reflects the "worst" comic.

I think the right person went this week...though I'm not keen on this alliance in the house.

The woman from Sandusky is really getting on my nerves...she's funny..but annoying as a person. I too also depise Rich..I've disliked him from the beginning.

Ditto on the Tera/Tara/whatever, I was getting tired of her routines.

Hopefully only Dat and Ralphie survive and maybe the cowboy.. :)

Man! I wish that Cory would have went. To be honest, I didn't like either of those ladies, but Cory seemed more mean.

I'm thinking that the first chance the house has, they will vote Tess off. She is so damn funny with a great personality; I could see her winning this. But if we're looking at "How many other comics do the same kind of things?" Well, I have seen a lot that do the same kind of routine as her.

Rich and that other guy in the bubble bath was cracking me up!! :D

Since they've moved into the house, I started to greatly dislike Ralphie; he's a jerk. I disliked Rich and Cory's attitudes from the beginning...but you can just tell that they're stubborn (and in Rich's case, stuck up).

Right now, I am rooting for Tess, Geoff, and Dat.

I managed to catch the last five minutes of the show. The Wisconsin chick was gracious in defeat after she got eliminated. I'm pulling for Dat to be the winner.

Dat needs to win immunity next week or he's out.
If Dat does win, Geoff will be on the elimination block...otherwise Dat will be up.

i watched this for the first time tonite....and i swear to all things holy, i about peed when geoff (?) said dat was "sweatin like mike tyson in a spelling bee"....LMAO....so funny.

PLUS, when ralphie's g/f stopped by.......i mean, this is SO mean, but she wasn't AT ALL what i was expecting to walk through that door. dude said it best when he said, "she's a 10....i do 400 sit ups a day and can't even get a 4 to call me back"......LOL...funny isht, man. :D

even though i haven't been watching the show, i was like, "aww" about rob going.....esp since i didn't really think ol' ralphie was what ppl made him out to be. i was anticipating ROTFLMAO kinda stuff....it took him a minute to be amusing.....although, the "homie, that's messed up" line made me giggle. rob just seemed relaxed at completely at ease up there, whereas just kinda sittin around, he seemed off. but that may just be b/c i've only watched it this one time. will def tune in again, though!

I watched the first couple of episodes of this, but last night was the first one that I saw when they were in the house. I was ticked because they're all being so mean to Dat. Maybe he was being annoying and I just don't know because I haven't seen the show, but seriously, give the poor guy a break! And I don't think that Rob (Bobert, lol) should have gone. I haven't heard Ralphie being terribly original yet...he tells the same jokes that Chris Rock and other politically incorrect comedians tell all the time. Rob was much funnier, IMO.

I hope that even if those mean mean people kick Dat out of the house, that he ends up with his own show. He's really funny and he deserves it because he seems like a really nice guy.

I don't know why, but I just knew Ralphie's girl was going to be skinny. And yes, Vos's comment was very funny!

I don't think he's done anything particularly obnoxious, they are just singling people out that they want gone.

I have mixed feeling about this week. I am glad Dat is still in the competition, but I am sad to see Dave go. Why, oh why, did Dat change his mind? In the video vote, he chose Vos...god I would have LOVED to see Vos go.

Wow! Last night was a shocker! I didn't want to see Dat go, but I figured he would. Yeah.....why did he say he was funnier than Rich, then challenge Dave?

I loved Dave. Even though he was part of the evil, he is hilarious!

Dat played it smart though. When he broke out with, "Oh, you all really want Geoff gone" he did two things
1. Make Geoff distrustful of everyone else
2. Gave Dat an ally in the house if he stayed

It was a interesting plot for them to try to get rid of Dat, but it backfires on them. Congrats to Dat for coming to the stage and going all out in winning the round. I like to see Tess and Geoff go against each other next.

Yay Dat for kicking butt two weeks in a row. His routine was great this week. :)

Dat is smoking right now. Two in a row. Can't wait for the Grand Finale.:)

OK, I missed it. Did Dat beat Rich??? Too cool! I can't wait until the Bar exam is over, so I can fire up the TIVO and see it.

No, Dat beat Geoff. They had one more elimination and no one was safe. Geoff had the most votes, but he didn't get to pick his opponent; hey brought back the four eliminated people and they voted, of course, for Dat.
