Songs Stuck in Your head

Well I think the subject title explains itself, but.......

Do you have any songs stuck in your head now, or every time you hear a certain song does it get stuck for hours.

For some reason I am on a Metallica kick so its been "Sanitarium", "One" and "Fade to Black", many times getting blurred together into one sad depressing song.

PandaOnProzac 06-09-2003 04:44 AM

Right now I've got Rufio's One Slowdance becuz in times of stress I like to think of a time where I felt really happy. That moment I remember was from the Phi Delt formal held at the Queen Mary in Long Beach. I recall the moments I shared with my really cute date.

The Jets were on the Muzak at work today. I haven't been able to get them out of my head. That takes me way way way back, to elementary school.

No kidding! If it was the Jets, it must've been "You Got It All" or "Make It Real"...I could be wrong though.

Right now I have that stupid song from Even Stevens in my head. The one from the musical episode:

"We went to the moon...in....1969...not 1968 but one year later...."

Grrrr...that's what I get for watching the marathon yesterday.

'Aw Naw' by Nappy Roots

They played that at 2 different bars this weekend. Now, I'm walking around singing 'Them country boys with them big fat wheels. . .'

i have songs from garbage's self titled album stuck in my head. i was listening to the cd a couple of days ago. when i woke this morning, the songs were all i could think about. it is all combining into one song. its okay though cause i love that album.

MysticCat 06-09-2003 10:11 AM

You don't know about songs stuck in your head until you take a long car trip with your kids and have to listen to their tapes/CDs the whole time. Its a form of torture -- the songs work their way into the creases in your brain, and one always digs deeper than the others. Finally, two days later you'll have exorcised the song, only your lovely spouse to say "Oh, I finally got *&%$#@ out of my head," and BAM! It's magically re-embeded in both of you.

PiKA2001 06-09-2003 11:33 AM

"oh darlin' " by the beatles and usually any song that I hear before I go to work.

Kevin 06-09-2003 11:46 AM

"The Song that Never Ends"

33girl 06-09-2003 12:29 PM

jenny from the block always gets stuck in my head when I hear it. grrrrr. j-lo songs in general do that, but that one is the worst.

AGDPrincess70 06-09-2003 12:44 PM

The songs from the show I was directing used to haunt me. As the show got closer and i started to panic more, I would literally wake up in the middle of the night and with songs from Godspell and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers in my head playing so loud that I couldn't fall back asleep. So I would lay there panicking that the show would suck.

But it didn't. It was absolutely perfect, and people are still calling me to tell me how great it was:D :D :D

I love this song! I downloaded it and it said it was Simple Plan, but obviously not.

GeekyPenguin 06-09-2003 01:15 PM

I always get show tunes stuck in my head...esp. from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. There was a question about Jacob and Joseph on my Theology exam the other day and I went crazy...

"He looks handsome, he looks smart, he is a walking work of art..."

moe.ron 06-09-2003 01:28 PM

"Wake me up before you go go"

vanda 06-09-2003 01:47 PM

I have three songs in my head and it's a weird medley. The first is Seether's "Driven Under". The chorus part of the song that says " She told me she had a gun". Then there's the White Stripes Seven Nation Army. The part that stays is the part that starts "I'm going to Wichita". Then there is St. Anger from MEtallica. I find myself saying "I'm madly in anger with you" out of nowhere.

Hootie 06-09-2003 01:56 PM

Jessica Andrews "There's more to me than you"

Montgomery Gentry "Speed"

Kenny Chesney "Big Star", "She thinks my tractors sexy" and "No shirt, No shoes, No Problem"

Anything by Michelle Branch

Ballad or uptempo version? The ballad always gets stuck in my head (which isn't a bad thing! :))

A lot of the songs from the American Idol 2:Love Songs CD (the ones I don't skip, that is!) are always running through my head

Now I have in my head...

"it was red and yellow and green and brown and scarlet and black and ochre and peach and ruby and olive and violet and fawn and lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve and cream and crimson and silver and rose and azure and lemon and russet and gray and purple and white and pink and orange and BLUE!!"

DAMN YOU!!!! :D :D

murraygrl1 06-09-2003 03:49 PM

I've had Phish's version of Gin and Juice stuck in my head for like, the last two weeks. It is a great song... everyone should hear it atleast once in their lifetime...

This side by Nickel Creek...

Blueside by Rooney...

Fat bottomed girls by Queen

I think that is it... but I'd have to wait to be bored for a couple of mins to be sure!!!

Sistermadly 06-09-2003 03:51 PM

Yesterday I was out with some classmates, and we stopped in a vintage clothing store. The girl tried on this rhinestone studded western shirt, and the guy we were with called her "Rhinestone Cowboy".

I went around for the rest of the FREAKING day with that song stuck in my head! ;)

Sublime - Greatest Hits...."drunk by noon but that's okaaaaayy...I'll be president someday!" - classic.

and then, Jimmy Eat World - Sweetness as well as tribe called quest's Bonita Applebum.

I think I listen to too much music in my free time..

CatStarESP4 06-09-2003 04:21 PM

That happens to me some of the time. The song could be either cool or rather annoying. Sometimes, it is an instrumental. It is irritating because you try to forget it when you want to, but it goes away by itself (when it want to) AAAAAARRRGGGHHH!

Another good Joseph song to have stuck in your head (and better than the medley of colors:

Oh no - not he
How can you accuse him is a mystery
Save him - take me
Benjamin is straightr than the tall palm tree

I always thought that song was a thinly veiled reference to Benjamin's sexual orientation...lol

"Back in Time" - Huey Lewis and the News

Why? I just watched Back to the Future last night.

You did not need to go there, CP! There goes any shot I have of learning during my class tonight. ;) I also really like the Potiphar song.

CutiePie2000 06-09-2003 05:07 PM

Oh here's another one...the one that goes, "If you mess with my man, I'll be the one to bring it to you".

Oy......

I get that stupid jingle for Foxwoods stuck in my head. I don't know if this is a national campaign. If you have heard the commercial, you know what I mean.
