Lizzy McGuire
Admit it... you LOOOOOVE watching Lizzy McGuire and want to see the movie. Just admit it... you're 20-some years old and you love watching 15 year old "adventures".
edit to add... please don't admit if yuo have some pedophilish obsession with Lizzy... dude she's like 15-16 years old. I hear about it enough from my guy friends... ugh pedophiles! |
I love the show! I watch that and Raven.
Yeah she's only 15 and very pretty, but to see grown men drool over her makes me :( |
i admit it.
i love miss mcguire! and i constantly have to remind my male friends how ILLEGAL their thoughts about her are... |
I like Lizzie McGuire but I love EVEN STEVENS more. . . BEANS and LOUIS are AWESOME!!
My favorite Disney Channel show is The Proud Family and Even Stevens is a close 2nd. Disney Channel has come a long way. |
I love the show, but now I'm mad that greediness took the possibility of watching them go to HS off the air!!

Hehe I'm watching it right now! |
I don't watch the show. I saw the movie. It was cute in an its good to be young kind of way.
In defense of your friends they made her out to look much more mature than 15. nd much more mature than the 13 or 14 year old she is supposed to be playing. OH and pedophillia applies more to prebuscent than anything else. |
I love the show; my girls and I watch it almost every day! And I took them to see the movie the first weekend it came out (hex on Paolo  )
I've always wondered, though, what alternative universe the characters on that show live in that Lizzie is not the reigning goddess of her middle school. C'mon, someone who looks like that and is that sweet not being popular?? Riiiiiiiight. Oh, and why did Lizzie know how to do a one-handed cartwheel in that one episode and Kate the cheerleader did not? Ok, enough. I'm getting too into this! lol |
I try to catch the show whenever it's on (and it just finished airing on ABC Kids...the episode where Matt is infatuated with Miranda and Lizzie starts working at the Digital Bean). I'll probably wait until the movie comes out to rent :)
|
I love the show! And us girls CAN drool over Adam Lamberg (Gordo) because he IS legal! (and he really is only 5'4'', they don't do anything to him to make him look short!)
BTW...the show may be over but there's always fanfiction.net for those people who want to see what her fans want the show to be like! |
Adam Lambert is LEGAL....whoa!
In answer to KillarneyRose's ? about Lizzie's One-Handed-Cartwheel thing- She was a gymnast in one episode...rythmic gymnastics I believe...Maybe that's how they explained it. Also- many young kids can do gymnastic tricks like that, just because sometimes there really isn't anything better to do at recess time in elementary school. |
Did the show get canceled?

Gordo's LEGAL?!?!?!?! ;) |
I'm 20 years old.... and I'm a Lizzie McGuire addict. I am obsessed with that show! It's definitely my number one guilty pleasure. I loooove Gordo and I wish I had a brother like Matt. Adorable!
The show was NOT cancelled. Rather, Disney only books every show for 65 episodes... Even Stevens, Thats So Raven, etc. They all only film 65 episodes, but there's a possibility of the show being picked up for more episodes if a contract is signed. Unfortunately, Disney decided not to renew the contract. I don't think greed on the actors part had anything to do with it. BTW, I've seen the Lizzie McGuire movie TWICE... yep, I think I get the award for "Most Needs To Grow Up and Get a Life." |
I found myself downloading the songs from the movie not long after they showed the videos on the Disney Channel. "I Can't Wait" is very catchy!
Off topic....but I believe the Even Stevens marathon is today. They're gearing up for the Even Stevens movie (which they'll show next week). |
Well, it was SORT of cancelled....
Contract disputes: Mom: Disney Dissed Duff Jun 6, 3:17 PM EST Associated Press Hilary Duff said goodbye to Disney and the "Lizzie McGuire" empire because, as her mother puts it, "We weren't feeling the love." Susan Duff tells Entertainment Weekly for its June 13 issue, "They weren't giving Hilary the respect she deserved." The 15-year-old actress has starred in the hugely popular Disney Channel sitcom "Lizzie McGuire" since 2001 and the spin-off film, "The Lizzie McGuire Movie," which has grossed about $40 million since it opened May 2. But negotiations broke down last month between Disney and Duff's representatives over how much money she would receive for a "Lizzie McGuire Movie" sequel and a new ABC prime-time series that would follow her character to high school. Duff reportedly had received offers of six figures per episode from at least two competing networks, while ABC offered $35,000 an episode, the magazine reported. As for the movie sequel, the two sides couldn't agree on terms of a $500,000 bonus for the young star. Buena Vista Motion Pictures Group president Nina Jacobson said in a statement: "We tried very hard to close a deal on the 'Lizzie McGuire' sequel. We think Hilary is very talented and we very much wanted to stay in business with her." It was going to continue on as a prime time show on ABC with the gang in HS....Aw well :( |
I'm DEFINITELY going to miss that show! Here's a message from Hilary from her own website, regarding the deal:
"It made me very sad to read some of your questions in regards if I'm only doing it for the money or if I'm getting greedy. Every Disney Channel show from "Even Steven" to "That's so Raven" and "Lizzie McGuire" has only 65 episodes. Lizzie continues to be on the Disney Channel for a few more years and the decision about another Lizzie movie was not based on money it had more to do with the working enviroment. I love being Lizzie and maybe there is another movie in the future." www.hilaryduff.com |
I'm a Lizzie Addict...
LOVE her to death. But you know who she is? She's a Clarissa Explains It All for our sibling's generation!:p |
Yeah I'm a Lizzie and Raven addict as well!
I'll have to agree with whomever said that Disney is better now. I used to not care so much for the channel but now it seems there is always something worthwhile to watch on that channel! |
When are actors going to learn that when you leave the role that everyone loves you for, it just DOESN'T work!
People want to see Lizzie, not Hillary Duff just yet as a singer. If she would of settled the contract and done a Lizze High school show, she would of gotten even bigger. QTE |

I have always wondered the SAME thing! Had she gone to any school I've ever been to, she would have been hands down the most popular girl in school! So crazy! |
I've always wondered, though, what alternative universe the characters on that show live in that Lizzie is not the reigning goddess of her middle school.
----------- I've wondered the SAME thing! Especially in the movie... when Lizzie is parading around Rome in stiletto heels and cute, trendy outfits that make her look 20. I've NEVER understood why Lizzie was not popular, but Kate was. Kate is GROSS! I don't think she's cute, no one likes her (other than her equally obnoxious clique) and she dresses like a 40 year old mom! How and why, exactly, does she RUN the school? |
OK, ok, so Adam Lamberg is 18....well I just found out too that Kyle J. Dowland (Larry Tudgeman) is 20!!!
WTF???? And if you can find picutres of him as, well, him instead of Larry...OMG he is one HOT boy!!!! |
I saw something about it on ET and she said something about the way they (Disney) treated her family and how she didn't feel they were being treated well anymore. She didn't mention money or negotiations, just that she's very sorry to see the show go and the people she's made friends with. Anyone else see that?
|
OMG....I'm SO excited...Disney re-opened negotiations, and while nothing's guarenteed to come out of this...obviously they're going to try harder this time...I mean, would they really waste the time if the weren't going to cave?
|
AlphaFrog,
DON'T GET MY HOPES UP!!! Where'd you see this?? |
Yahoo's ET Gossip
