DZ Killed
 

Jill Connet,a graduate of the University of Northern CO was killed over Memorial Day weekend in a car accident. She was a Delta Zeta at UNC. She was on the cheerleading squad her freshman yr. She worked as a teacher in Denver.

Jill was a pledge sister of mine. She was smart, talented and took all of life battles with a positive stand point. When I think of Jill I am reminded of her bright smile and warm hearted personality. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!! I know the Delta Xi chapter of Delta Zeta and the Connett family are thankful.

I know I can speak for the Theta Omicron Chapter of Delta Tau Delta at Northern Colorado as their former Division VP in passing their and my deepest sympathy to the family and the DZ Chapter at UNC.

The gentlemen of the Lambda Chi Alpha Colony (soon to be Sigma-Omega Zeta) at the University of Northern Colorado also send their heartfelt condolences.

Delta Zeta's were always the BEST sorority to hang out with when I was an active lo so long ago. May her memories of being a part of your lives comfort you.

Thank you to everyone who has sent their prayers and condolences to Jill's family and the chapter.

Due to the impact of the pick up truck, there was much damage to Jill's organs, so they could not all be used for transplants. They did find a match for her liver and they will find out if the liver transplant was successful in a few days. Her pancreas and one lung were too damaged for transplants, but were suitable for resaerch on diabetes and general lung functions.

Please slow down when you drive!!!
