Skeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee to my sands Yolanda/SUCH the Cool One as U.S.S. Genesis celebrates ten years today. Even though we can't be together in person, I am with you in spirit, soror!

I'm marking today by ending my inactive status and joining a grad chapter here in the city. You can only stay away so long, and AKA calls you back into the fold :-).

I especially enjoyed your response to the "WHY??" thread on the DST board. We can certainly bemoan the 'whys' of the world, but it is better to say what *I* can do about the 'whys' and then go about the business of doing it!

I too understand the '55'.....at a historically black scool, you can see 200-400/500 girls at rush (depending on the school). I thought it happened everywhere....until I was an assistant GA for a PWI and saw with my own eyes 5, maybe 15 or 20 girls at rush at one time...I'm like, where are yalls people (smile....hahahahaha)

Anyway, it was 33 of us which by some seems large......and yes, before the 90's there were still relatively "large" lines at black schools. I have friends that were on line in the 60's and seventies on lines of 40's and 50's....

Sorry to get off subject soror.....Congrats again....from one 10 year old to another :)
