Vote: Alpha Phi in Miss Texas United States Pageant
Crystal Glass (Alpha Phi University of Texas Marketing Advisor) is competing in the Miss Texas United States Pageant. There is an online voting section to the pageant. Demonstrate your greek spirit and help Crystal out by voting (click here).
Crystal is in the first row on the right. Just click on her picture, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "vote." It only takes a second and right now Crystal is winning the internet portion! LD |
Voted and sent out an email to my chapter gals. :)

Wow! Wonder if GreekPower put Crystal so far ahead, lol! Good luck to her!
Any AGDs you know?;) :D |
I voted :) She's pretty! Hell, they're all pretty!
It says she has 305 votes and like 45.9% of the vote |
She's the prettiest anyway! :D
|
"Miss United States" was the pageant in the movie, "Miss Congeniality"...just thought I'd point that out... :D
(PS For those who are not pageant-obsessed like me, Miss United States and Miss USA is not the same thing...thank you!) |
She is very pretty. It is funny this is up there, I will be competing in this next year. I just got my paper work and every thing. Good luck to her and hope to see her as the winner at nationals!
|
I voted for her! I hope she wins!
|
She got my vote too!
|
A gal from my chapter is in the competition and we didn't even know! She graduated a couple of years ago, so I never met her, but she is the grandbig of one of my closest chapter sisters. Jessica Lambert, the second Jessica pictured.
|
Uh oh, now there's 2 Alpha Phis! How are we going to decide where to steer our votes!!
|
I've tried twice now to vote and it won't let me :(
Something about someone from my ISP already voting recently. Stupid Computers!! Well They have my votes in spirit! And hey at least someone else around here is voting. :) |
It would appear that Kristen Howsley has won the Texas preliminary and will be competing as Miss Texas US Galaxy 2004 next year. How do I know? Kristin is the second 2004 delegate to be selected.
I was the first. :) Yes, you read correctly, I'm actually in this pageant. Big silver and bordeaux stars for SATX*APhi for seeing my picture on the delegates' page and somehow realizing that it looked like me. :) Because I didn't like the picture that was posted, and didn't want half of GC running down to look at it, so she also kept it a secret for me! Thanks! ;) But, now that the director replaced my "passport photo" looking shot with a proper headshot (click "refresh" if you have to), I can go ahead and share the news. I am currently Miss Poland Galaxy 2004. Why Poland? Well, I am an American, but my entire family, both my mom and my dad's sides, are 100% Polish. Yes, I do have family in Poland and I will be touring there later this year. Since I'm currently living in the United Kingdom, I didn't want to try and compete for one of the US titles since it would have been too much trouble to travel back to the US just for that. To quote what I told SATX*APhi in PM, I'm actually a pageant newbie, this is my first one! So yeah, I'll probably trip and fall off the stage or something. :o I wanted to do it for three reasons: a) "just because"/ I felt like it would be an interesting challenge b) My friend dared me to since I'm not really a "girly girl" c) I run an event management company and I thought it would be handy to have first-hand experience with this type of event. Did I pick some small town pageant to be my first one? Noooooooo..... of course not, I had to pick an international one. I didn't have to compete in a preliminary like Miss Texas did. Though I was selected at-large, I do have the backing of the Polish community. UDZETA, you previously mentioned that you "will be competing in this next year". Do you mean this particular pageant? If so, that would be cool! OK, enough of my rambling! If you all want, I can keep you posted on how it's all progessing! .....Kelly :) |
I am so smart, I am so smart!! :D I figured it out, woo hoo!!
Here's the link for everyone who doesn't want to navigate for hours to find it: http://www.msgalaxy.com/Delegates/De...-Miss-2004.htm. Best of luck Kelly! |
I guess I've never heard of this pagaent. How does it work exactly?
Good Luck Kelly!:D |

To answer your question, I first need to know what you're asking. Do you mean, "how does signing up to be a delegate work?" Or do you mean, "how does the competition judging work?" .....Kelly :) |
Yeah Kelly! You rock, girl!! :D
That is so awesome that you are Miss Poland! I'm 100% Polish too, and I'm proud to have you representing!! (But how did you get so lucky to get out of a "ski" last name? :) ) |
hehehehe...Polonia representing!! :) :)
As for my surname....hehehe welllll I sorta did and sorta didn't "get out of it". :) (Why would I want to get out of it??) I'll PM you to explain! :) By the way everyone, http://www.coronationinc.com is technically the website to go to. .....Kelly :) |

No way!!!!! You know Caroline?!?! Back in January she asked me to be a judge for her pageant! Plus, we both used to be figure skaters. It's a small world! Do you know Rhonda Copeland? She competed as Miss Canada Galaxy last year! I do believe that she was in the Miss Canada International pageant.... .....Kelly :) |
