Bid Day T-shirts...
What were some of your favorite bid day t-shirts from your schools? We were just colonized/installed last fall, so we never got official bid day shirts, just the "Definitely Delta Gamma" shirts. Which ones are your favorites and why?

My favorite (as of right now considering i'm VP Membership and in charge of bid day shirts this year....) are our Fall 01 shirts. It came at a bad time because of September 11, however, I still love it! It was a camo shirt with the D*E*L*T*A*G*A*M*M*A on the front and "Did you get drafted?" Bid Day 2001 on the back.
Speaking of shirts for this year....I would love to hear ideas because we are doing a hawaiian type theme for the whole week (kind of...we can't really because we have no frills but we're keeping it in house....ya know?) so we are doing the lei ceremony for pref and maybe making leis for philanthropy and so on....so i'm trying to pick a shirt that fits the theme. I have found a design that I like....I just need a slogan! Help please!!! Thanks! LITB, Andrea |
I saw a shirt that AJ has. Its awsome! On the front it says
DG (picture of an anchor) 02 The shirt is that Army green color w/ that type of font like on MASH. On the back it has the greek letters DG and says If you didn't get drafted, you got shafted! I love it! She is wearing it in the pic of us beside the tank if you want to look! |
That sounds like a really cute idea. However, I think that the girls in my chapter might want something a little girlier. Any ideas?

How about like Mouline Rouge On the front of the shirt you could have Delta Gamma spelled out like the lighted Moulin Rouge sign in the movie On the back you could have somethink like "DGs are a girl's best friend" There is also another cute shirt on the link before I heart DG I heart DG shirt Another cute one AJ gave me was on the front it said Delta Gamma (in bigger letters spelled out) Perfection by Selection On the back is this gif of a little girl praying saying And thank you for making me a Delta Gamma... Also many things can be done with the Sweet Home Delta Gamma thing. EO has all the words on the website |

Threw this together in like 10 minutes...I think something like this would be cute...I know our girls dig the pastels, but I think this looks nice and bold. It'd stand out, you know?

hey hey sooo i went thru my closet to give you the slogans we have used in the past...
***there are two types of women in this world...Delta Gamma's and those that wish they were*** ***when it hurts to look back and you're scared to look ahead, you can look beside you and your sisters will be there. celebrating sisterhood since 1873*** one really cute one that another sorority had that i loved was this: ***star light, star bright, i got the wish...i wished last night*** ...oh yea our last bid day shirts said this: ***sweet home delta gamma...where the skies are pink and blue*** and they had a picture of EO on the back...VERY CUTE! |

My ABSOLUTELY favorite shirt of mine that we used for a Fall Retreat had just DG '00 on the front and on the back it said
"If you think I'm cute, you should see my sisters." LOVE THIS SHIRT! On my bid day shirt it had DELTA GAMMA - University of Houston across the front and on the back it had "In the world you may just be one person. But, to one person, you just may be the world!" And there's a big globe on it! aj |

Our Bid Day shirts last year were SO cute! The Sisters wore hot pink ones and then the new girls got yellow ones.
The front sayd "DG (greek letters) Bid Day 2002" and under that "Southern Miss" - all on the left side of the chest. One of the sisters used their handwritting to get printed on the back, and it says: "Every girl dreams it, so few get to live it!" With little swirls and stuff all around it. It was a really bright and colorful shirt! The year before that they used purple and green shirts that had Bid Day 2001 in the same spot (left side chest) - and then on the back it says: "Do you ever wish you joined another sorority? We don't." |
CJ - - I absolutely LOVE that shirt!!! You are one of the most creative people ever! WOW! I might have to steal it :D .....but I'd ask ya first!

Yeah you do!!!! I might have to get one of this years for you too considering i can do what i want with them since I'm in charge :p
But I think you have to come back and visit first....UNLESS....I go there....ITS WARMER!!!! Its freaking cold here and its the beginning of JUNE! I hate this :( |
Someone mentioned above about a "wizard of Oz" theme...thats our theme for this year! The shirts are going to be adorable! They are going to be hot pink and say "Delta Gamma Bid Day" on the front(left shoulder) and the back has a picture of Dorthy with her eyes closed and Glenda waving her wand behind her and it says "There's no plave like Delta Gamma".
Ours this year were bright blue and it said the Delta Gamma bid day stuff on the front and the back was a picture of 3 girls standing at the anchor(it looked old...like 1950s) and it said "Sweet Home Delta Gamma....Where the Girls are so True." |

It was a light blue and on the front in pink it said "I'm so happy that I am a..." across the front and on the back it had a black and white picture of a little girl and on the bottom it said: Delta Gamma Bid Day 2003 Auburn University |
