Belly Buttons?

What type of Naval / belly button do you have and what type would you like to have?

Inny, Outie, or Flattie?

Dont be bashful, step up to the plate!!!

I will mever say my night mare is an outie!!!!! :D

Hootie 05-30-2003 12:36 AM

I have an inny with a scar from my belly ring. It got too infected so I took it out but now it's scarred and is red :( I shoulda known better. Oh well!

Peaches-n-Cream 05-30-2003 12:38 AM

Innies run in my family. :)

sugar and spice 05-30-2003 12:40 AM

I have an innie!

I have never actually seen an outtie bellybutton in real life.

KillarneyRose 05-30-2003 12:43 AM

I have an innie. I've always wondered if people with outies could get them pierced?

When I was a little kid, I used to think that babies came out of the mommy's belly button :)

SO DID I!!!

KappaKittyCat 05-30-2003 12:49 AM

I'm an innie. I think a pierced outie would be funny looking.

GMUBunny 05-30-2003 01:16 AM

I have an innie which is scarred from not one, but two piercings. I want to have it pierced again to cover up the ugliness of the scars... yes, outies can be pierced. I've seen it done.

Kevin 05-30-2003 01:35 AM

Innie.

sherbertlemons 05-30-2003 01:46 AM

Innie. I wonder if innies are more common than outies, or if this thread is just a fluke?

P.S. I've never had mine peirced. When my mother decided to get hers peirced about a year ago, (can you say midlife crisis?) I decided I wouldn't. The appeal of it is totally gone for me now. :)

GeekyPenguin 05-30-2003 01:47 AM

Innie! :D

polarpi 05-30-2003 02:12 AM

innie...my entire family does too...I don't know if I've ever even seen an outie!

bgsugirlie 05-30-2003 02:25 AM

innie!!!

I've never heard of a flattie...I always thought they were only innies or outties

Unregistered- 05-30-2003 03:40 AM

I also have an inny, with a scar from a piercing. I developed a Keloid (sp?) so I had to take it out. One day I will get it done again, becuase I really liked it.

texas*princess 05-30-2003 09:51 AM

I have an innie!!!

ilovemyglo 05-30-2003 10:04 AM

i have an innie.
I got it pierced and my ex hated it, so i took it out and the bottom scarred over, so I had it redone and when I did he missed the orginally bottom part and after a week, I took it out to clean it and all this scar tissue came out with it... about 4 inches worth!!! It was pretty foul!
But mine looks perfectly normal now, maybe even considered cute!

justamom 05-30-2003 10:08 AM

Innie-
It's all in how the Dr. tied the knot. I requested my kids have innies. Does that make be prejudice???;)

xo_kathy 05-30-2003 10:18 AM

I have an innie.

Now, all those who have outies (although none have posted yet) please do not be offended in my next revelation. When my niece was born there were some issues with the healing of her belly button. My mom and I were changing her one day when it was almost done healing, and we noticed that we think she is going to have an outie. We were both disappointed. :( How superficial of us....

The1calledTKE 05-30-2003 11:28 AM

Is that hereditary? I have an outie and I always thought it was caused by the way the doctor tied the umbilical cord off, but that was just a guess.

Mine is turning into an innie. When I was playing sports in HS/college I had a low body fat, but now that I am out of school my body fat is probably around 15% which is normal but the fat starts to overlap the bellybutton which makes it look like an innie.

AlphaFrog 05-30-2003 01:39 PM

I have an outtie!

And it could be peirced, but I wouldn't

librasoul22 05-30-2003 02:02 PM

Innie here.

Jadey28 05-30-2003 02:07 PM

Innie with a really cute belly ring!

I'm sorry, but that is really fascinating to me (in a gross sort of way)! Where exactly did the 4 inches of scar tissue come from? Did it hurt? Sounds like it would!

ilovemyglo 05-30-2003 02:58 PM

It actually came out with the ring, it was kinda raveled and thin,..... it was stringy and stuff... and white, but when i brought the ring out it was kinda attached, so i grabbed it and kept unraveling. I talked to a guy that works at a piercing place and he says it scars it a tunnel form, so what happened was I was unraveling the "tunnel" that had been created from the first time I got it pierced.

Don't worry I am sick like that... fascinated and disgusted with puss/scars/etc. all at once!

deltaphi94 05-30-2003 04:40 PM

I have an innie. I had a friend in college who had no belly button, though.

CatStarESP4 05-30-2003 04:45 PM

How is that possible?!?
Your belly button is the scar left over from the umbilical cord which nourished you while in the womb. You HAVE to have one!

murraygrl1 05-30-2003 06:23 PM

I have an innie with a scar on it from a freak emergency gallbladder removal surgery...

For those who didn't know... an outie belly button is actually an umbilligus hernia. I learned that little jewel of info in Small Animal Diseases.

I know. I thought he just had to be lying, so I told him to prove it. So, he pulled up his shirt, and sure enough, no belly button. I don't want to get all gross, so the short version is that surgical procedures at birth caused him to not have a belly button. Oddly enough, there was no scar, either.

A story to go with my innie... I was born with a hernia. The doctor taped a silver dollar over my belly button so I wouldn't have an outie. Or, at least that's one of the many stories I've heard every year on my birthday.

Tom Earp 05-30-2003 11:17 PM

OMG, a noie belly button?!!!! Must of had a face lift and pulled it to taught!:)

Hate to tell this put messin with a lady of a different pigmintation and she has a flatie BB! Never saw one like this before. Do not tell me I am taking advantage of the poor down trodden!

Turned me on, well at my age it did!:D

My ex almost had a Navel! Ex being the key word!! Both times ex-wife. no navel!!!!

KerriMarie 05-31-2003 12:14 AM

I have an innie, but it's weird. It's all stretched vertically, and when I'm standing it's basically just a line. I hate it. I think it got stretched out when I had a growth spurt - is that possible?

Everyone else has these cute little round belly buttons, and mine is all tall and skinny.

I don't know if it's hereditary. My mother, two sisters, and I have innies. Maybe it is the way that the doctor tied the cord.

My bf had an operation that caused his belly button to disappear so the doctor made one for him. It is an innie also. :)

AOX81 06-03-2003 10:15 AM

I have a pierced innie. :)

ZTAngel 06-03-2003 10:28 AM
