first of all, this show has always been way better than survivor:)

anyways, i just saw the premiere.
the teams are racing around the world completing obstacles

the teams:

1. amanda and chris: dating
2. david and jeff: best friends
3. reichen and chip- married
4.debra and steve- married parents
5.kelly and jon- engaged
6. jon and al- best friends
7. steve and josh- father and son
8. tian and jaree- friends
9.monica and sharee- nfl wives/moms
10. millie and chuck- dating
11. russell and cindy- dating
12. steve and david- air traffic controllers


debra and steve, the married parents just got eliminated

the show is incredibly addictive. i got hooked on it last year. so watch it! thursdays at 8 pm on cbs!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks this show rocks! I haven't watched tonight's episode yet, but I taped it.

I have always loved this show!

My students want me and one of my friends (who also teaches at our school) to go on it because they think it would just be too funny. So far, we have resisted the urge :)

Oh, I love this show! I'm mad- I forgot it was on tonight and so I only caught the elimination. Guess I'll have to read the TWOP recap.

Didn't you just want to throttle Flo last season? :) I was so mad when she won... although I really liked Zach. I wondered if they stayed friends.

I love this show and I almost forgot it was on! My boyfriend hates reality TV, but I got him hooked on this last season. It is so good! I'm on the West Coast, so it's still on.

Was I the only one hoping that Debra and Steve would beat out Tian and Jaree? Debra and Steve were so cute, and I didn't want to see them leave so soon. I'm so glad to have Amazing Race to last me through the summer with limited quality reality shows! :)

No, you aren't. I was totally cheering for Debra and Steve. They were the cutest, and those "models" were kind of snotty.

I think that the air traffic control guys are my favorite, but I really liked several of the teams.

I totally wanted the annoying chicks to leave. What kind of models are they? They seem kind of buff to be typical fashion models.

The real reason I watch the show?

I <3 Phil Keoghan! I've loved him ever since I first saw him on FX on the morning show. His accent his faded some but he's still my lil Kiwi!

Although the Extensions Sisters (Sheeva and Weeva, or whatever the heck their names are) get on my last nerve, I think that what the other teammates did to them (asking the bus driver to take off) was pretty foul.

Was anyone else touched by the air traffic controller guy making steps in the snow for his buddy? *snif*

I'm so annoyed that Reichen & Chip are gay!

BIO

Twenty-eight-year-old Reichen is a pilot and teaches at a flight school in Los Angeles. A former US Air Force officer and a graduate of the US Air Force academy, he is married to his teammate Chip. He loves skiing and flying and is very into being physically fit. He describes himself as "detail-oriented, caring and thrill-seeking." He speaks French and has traveled internationally quite a bit. Reichen's views on relationship are much more liberal than Chip's -- He enjoys flirting with other guys, but that makes Chip upset. He says he is like Winston Churchill: "steady…never say no; anything is possible." Chip lived in Hong Kong for three years, in Paris for six months and in London for two years. He is in great physical shape.

OMG! Phil Koeghan is a hottie! When I saw him last night in that white turtleneck and jacket I got weak in the knees. And I was sitting down!:p

They were the only ones bitching at each other 3 minutes into the race!!!

And did anyone else think it was hilarious when they were in LAST place and stopped to get some coffee from that cute guy?? OMG, give me a break!

Definitely one of the better reality shows! I hope the Mole comes back with Anderson Cooper. :)

Love that show....wish I could be on it (but you "gots" to be an American) boo hoo!
 

I watched The Amazing Race I, II and III! I missed IV premiere but trust me, I will be watching next week! Yeah, baby! :D

Compared to The Amazing Race, Big Brother is a snore and a bore!

I was sitting at home just going :rolleyes: ... I mean, come on...you're in a race for a million dollars, and you're going to stop for coffee and flirting???? Give me a break!

I agree...that's one that continually keeps me on my toes...trying to figure out who the Mole is and figure out the "hidden clues" (which I can NEVER find!)

that show was so good in its first season, but it was ruined when they did that corny celebrity edition. anderson wasnt even the host!:mad:

I wanted Debra and Steve to make it further than they did. I felt so bad when they didn't get a hotel room. The models need to go next - either them or the NFL wives.

And perhaps this is just me, but does anyone else find it the slightest bit strange that the one couple has been together for 12 years and are still virgins with no plans for marriage, because he's afraid of committment?!?!?! What is that?

i dont get it either. have they dated since junior high or something? yeah it's admirable to still be virgins, but is it really necessary to have it displayed by your name all the time. i think its weird how the screen has their name then under it says 'dated 12 years, virgins' ummm, yeah.

Or a lifetime supply of hand lotion.

Well, maybe there'll be less swearing in the weeks ahead now with Amanda gone (she has got one foul mouth on her :eek: ....not like I don't slip into foul-mouthness from time to time ;))

hey buddy, i already got a thread going. its burried right now. i gotta revive it:)

those models are really get in the race, even though their arguing is a bit annoying. i cant believe they got 4th place! that couple that lost tonight, i think it was russell and cindy, i totally forgot about them. i saw them tonight and i thought, 'who were those people?' anywho, i love the suspense the show has. the tension is heating up!!

I can't wait until neext week, especially after Steve told one of the models "I'd check my tires before I left. You don't want anything to happen (with a wink)".

Okay, so I'm kinda glad Russell and Cindy are gone....the whole way she was acting about hoping this would show him that he should like her as more than a friend, the bickering...I was getting really annoyed!!!

I hope the models go next week....I'm probably going to be saying that the entire season, with my luck :p They're really getting on my nerves, and I want them GONE!!

I want the models gone too. The constant bickering needs to stop. And, shouldn't models be pretty? Just a thought. I don't like the father/son team (aka Weezer and Geezer) or Millie & Chuck either. She's just way too perky. I'm rooting for Jeff & David, Reichen & Chip, and the NFL wives. But if they say that they're married to professional football players one more time, I'm gonna lose it. I get it already.

Yeah, I think my top three are Reichen and Chip, then Jon and Al, and then David and Jeff....I don't like the NFL wives (I'm getting a little...READ: A LOT....sick of hearing the comments on being married to professional football players as well) and most of the other teams have something that tick me off....I hope that I've picked the top three, but I seriously doubt it! :)
