I know I'm not the only one who remembers one or all of these drinks. :o

UGH none of that AT ALL.

I do remember my freshman year roommate, Rachael, mixed MD with Cisco or something like that. It was a dangerous combo. She was TO UP FROM DA FLO UP. . .we lived in substance free dorm so i kept trying to walk her past the hall director to get her kicked out of the dorm so I could have the room to myself. ;)


In college, I did occasional wine coolers and Boone's Farm.

Southern Comfort. Vi, your sister never drank with us. LOL

Yuck, Yuck, Yuck!!!! The only one I tried was Cisco - one time was enough for me - lol!!!

My taste buds gravitated toward wine coolers (Bartles & James), black-berry brandy (taste like cough medicine after a while), and Kahlua (yummy).

Quite frankly, those drinks pictured look downright scarey. :eek: :eek:

LMAO... Why does the flavor on the Cisco bottle just say "Red"? That tells you something about the drink right there. I did the Cisco thing one time and one time only. My drink of choice in college was sloe gin and juice.

I'm not surprised. She occasionally sips wine from time to time.

Were so declasse, I never drank them. My favorite drinks, back in the mid-1980s when I was in college, were peppermint schnapps w/club soda, and Myers Rum sours.

I went through a alcohol phase in college. I loved long island ice tea's sister, a drink called long beach ice tea. I don't really drink now though.

LOL @ Bamboozel for pointing out the flavor "RED"! Subliminal messages, I tell ya.

I never dranked any of these beverages in college (early 90's). My friends and I just did shots ...Paul Masson, VSOP, wine, vodka, etc. Really whatever was on sale that week.

Y'all remember in college how everybody had their own "punch"? Kappa punch, Sigma punch, houseparty/trash punch, hooch, etc.?

Well since leaving college, I think I may drink about one glass of wine per year (during the holidays). Now, the mere smell of alcohol makes me gag! :eek: :o

Actually, I will take shots of almost anything EXCEPT Vodka because to me it is the nastiest thing ever when it's by itself.

Hmm...ok after rereading, I want to clarify that I am NOT an alcoholic, lol, I only drink at the club/parties/etc. :D

St. Ides Special Brew- We thought we were rolling big time.

Boones-We were moving on up.

Cisco aka Liquid crack-We moved up too fast. So once was enough.

Any Vodka with any juice- Strawberi Stoli is still my favorite.

White Zinfandale-For our waiting to exhale moments.

Jose Cuervo Especial-We had some good times with Jose. Some couldn't hang, but we held up pretty well.

And to state

Freshman and Sophomore years: Boones Farm, and I admit, I tried Thunderbird, something called Purple Passion- it came in bottles, I forgot who made it though.

Junior/Senior years: I moved up a little bit... Paul Masson, White Zinfandel, gin and juice.

I took some Thunderbird to a party as a joke. Do you know that once we ran out of booze, those lushes drank it anyway? I couldn't believe it! :eek:

Drink of choice back then and still is Cape Cods (cranberry juice, vodka and lime). I also liked "Hot D*mn" Cinnamon Schnapps, and Goldschlager peppermint schnapps. If I was going out dancing and wanted to get a buzz without feeling bloated, I'd toss back a couple of tequila (to kill ya) shots.

We stayed away from the real cheap liquor.

My college drink of choice was ameretto sour. I also used to drink Southern Comfort (until...well..ya know). Then whenever there was punch, someone always had a bottle of evaclear.

I have to jump all over this! 20/20 used to get a party started.

As a matter of fact, we would hook up a little bar room in our dorm rooms. I had Malibu and Hawaiian Punch on tap all the time.

Just to name a few....

I'm not bmuch of a drinker. I tell people it's because I'm so small, but I honestly don't really like the taste of alcohol that much. My favorrite drink is an amaretto sour (with extra sour to take the edge off).

Since I just became LEGAL . . .
 

almost 6 months now, my favorite drink used to be wine coolers. However, I just went out and could not find a drink that I like. I kind of like the following:

Skyy
Stoli Orange
Sex on the Beach

I'm waiting to go out again so I can try Hpnotiq.

She is a true Goodie-Goodie. But there's nothing wrong with that.

In college we pretty much drank whatever was hand but my girls and I kept a bottle of vodka on hand at all times. Vodka, Tropical fruit Hawaiian punch and sprite makes a mighty tasty concoction!

In my college years? Shoot, I drank anything short of gasoline! LOL! I was lush back in the day. LOL

My drinks of choice were:

Brass Monkey
Mad Dog 20/20
Thunderbird (mixed with Lemonade)
Whiskey Sours
Kamikazes
and my staple drink was -- Red Bull (YIKES!)

Back in the day we used to do

Grain alcohol and lemonade kool aid was the cheap drink of choice. Barcardi and what ever else we could find to mix it with was the other

When we were trying to be all sophisticated and stuh we would dring Canei wine LOL at the memory of it all

When I was trying to be a big girl it was whiskey sours!

Sixsational, I feel you. I, too, "drank anything short of gasoline!" However, I never drank any of those things that were in the picture. When I first started drinking, I'm sad to say that my drink of choice were (gag) Christian Brother and E&J. By senior year the drink of choice was Absolute and cranberry juice. . . nothing else.

I don't really drink that much anymore, although I will occasionally sip on a Michelob Ultra.

I used to love Boones Farm and wine coolers!
 

Now, when I go out, I like drinks like amarreto sours, cosmopolitans, and malibu bay breeze, long island iced teas, and wine.
When I first started drinking, though, I started out on cheap beer. After getting drunk off a 40 of Red Bull, that was enough!
I hate beer, cheap or not!!

I wandered in and noticed this topic. So I'll put my male spin on this...

As Freshmen and Sophomores (or SOUTH-A-MO's!) my friends and I drank all of those cheap drinks every weekend, because we could get a nice buzz for a couple of dollars. You see, we would try to save our money so that we would have enough to buy drinks for the ladies in the club. Brothers were on a budget!

However, as we matured (along with our bank accounts) we began to migrate over to the Cognac's, Rum's and "GOOD" vodka's.

And another thing...how come all those "nasty" drinks can mostly be found in black neighborhoods?
