Hey...we all have things that we hate to admit...like our favorite pair of jeans look like leftovers from Madonna's material girl phase, or our favorite band is the BackStreet Boys...things like that...here's a thread for people to come clean...what's your "Hate to Admit"



My hate to admit is that I love the show "Lizzie McGuire" on the Disney channel...and I loved the movie (although I did think it went a little over the top at the end)!

Okay, I have a few..haha.

1) I still listen to my Hanson Cd. Yeah, everyonce in awhile I like to listen to those boys...but definatley not mmmmbop.

2) I watch Noggin, religiously; Its got Degrassi:The Next Generation ( watching that right now ), The Adventures of Pete & Pete, 24/7, Daria, and Clarissa Explains it All.

3) Me and my sister watch the Mary-Kate and Ashley movies when they come out.

Okay, that's enough of my embarassing myself for the night. Lol. If I think of anymore, I'll edit this post :D

i will attempt to french manicure my toe nails and finger nails as many times as it takes to get it PERFECT.

when i was lil, i had a slight case of OCD and had to count all the steps in my house EVERYtime i went up or down them.--maybe i still have it, come to think of it, with that whole nail painting bit....ack! :eek:

and i hate to admit it, but i don't know what time it is......does anyone? lol ;) :D

Sometimes I think that my mouth moves a tad faster than my brain. I'll think of two words to say to describe something,and instead of picking just one, I end up mooshing it together, like great and cool comes out as grool. It's horrible.

I forget people's names as soon as they are told to me,and I'll fake my way through meeting someone until I get reminded. Thank goodness for name tags during recruitment!

Ahhh I still read books from the yesteryears just to refresh my memory. I was so hooked on Nancy Drew but never got into the Hardy Boys at all. But I so remember the books you just mentioned.

I just dig Iron Chef for the chick voice over judge gal who ALWAYS sounds like shes in a porn.

ROFLMAO! YES! :p What is UP with that? It's terrible! It's about as bad as those old movies where the words don't match up with their mouth!

I really, really love Rainbow Brite...I got the enitre series for my last birthday (I turned 20 and I got Rainbow Brite!)

For everyone else obsessed with Lizzie McGuire, like me, I just read that they aren't filming any more episodes of the show because Hilary Duff and Disney could not agree on what she would get paid per episode and for a sequel to the movie. She wanted a lot more money than they were offering... Oh well, there's always repeats...

And isn't this the last year of Even Stevens too?? I don't know what I'm going to watch from now on....

shes what..15 yrs old. and she isnt happy to get a large amount of money? when i was 15, i was a happy camper with getting $20. her parents probably had something to do with it.:rolleyes:

Breif recap: They offered her $35,000/episode for the show to move to abc and be about high school, her lawyers requested $100,000/episode saying that $35,000 was an insult. Shit, i don't make much more than that in a year! and she wanted $5 million for the sequel.. they offered $4 million plus a $500K bonus if it hit a certain mark. The lawyers said she should get the bonus regardless. it sounds like she's, or someone in her family, is starting to get greedy, but just my opinion...

I had to wash cars and plow snows to buy my Grateful Dead tickets when I was 16. That tix was about $35, which was a lot back then. Some people can't have enough.

I just had this happen last night and thought: "I should post this in that thread on GC about embarassing guilty pleasures"...

Remember Degrassi Junior High from back in the day (mid to late 80's)? It was a Canadian show and living near Detroit we got a Canadian TV station so maybe many of you don't know it? Anyway! It was pretty bad but I watched it all the time. Well, Nickelodeon has another station called "the N" and they have a Degrassi show! And some of the old cast members are back as adults at the school. But it's still basically about 13 year olds and their lives. I watched it last night. And I watch it anytime it's on and no on is around.....:rolleyes: :D :o

I love the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and last night I checked it out from the public library. I was the oldest person there in the juvenile section and got funny looks.

Yep, we got it on PBS for years. I actually thought it was good and my guys watch the new version now...and yes I do watch from time to time. It's like yummy comfort food :)

Also, I'll watch Trading Spaces up until 2 am in the morning..not a very good idea when you have class at 7 am.

Plus I really really really really really really LOVE Monster Garage ( I have a crush on Jesse James *swoon*) and American Chopper! It drives my parent's nuts!! I think I just have a thing for TLC shows.

*Sometimes I kiss-up to those in power (not backstabbing kiss-up, but overly nice kiss-up)

I'm also guilty on this one...that show is awesome. I love the controversy that always seems to stir up when doug does a room, like the time he made a movie theatre out of one families living room - which I thought was pretty cool.

Lets see, others include:

I really don't get the story behind the Matrix - but the music and special effects are awesome
I drive a 1997 4-door saturn (atleast it has a moonroof and 12-disc cd changer though)

I'm addicted to Saved by the Bell. If it's on TV and i'm awake, i can't watch anything else. I can't tell you how excited i was to hear that they're gonna release it on DVD. I even have bookmarked on my computer the SBTB drinking game page.

I too enjoy Iron Chef. Last spring, we invited two of the pledges over to my house and gave them an hour to cook as many dishes possible with what we had in the kitchen. The secret ingredient was (drumroll) SPAM. It turned out better than i expected.

I'm a closet britney spears fan. My sophomore year when i was a Fish Camp counselor, me and some of the other guy counselors bought britney posters from walmart and tacked them up in our cabin. My jr. year when i didn't make counselor one of my friends who made it bought me the "Hit me Baby One More Time" britney doll to cheer me up. It's in my room back home :D

I have over 50 simpson's episodes downloaded on my computer, as well as over 20 transformers cartoons.

Saved by the Bell is awesome! I watched both episodes on TBS at 11 oclock - kelly is so hot! One was the glee-club episode, which is always entertaining.

Only 50 simpsons episodes downloaded? Get with the program! You need more!

I personally like a guy that enjoys TLC! Trading Spaces is a good, educational show. :D

I am a huge Iron Chef fan. (BTW, has anyone seen MXC on TNN? Kind of similar but without the food.)

I also love Disney and Nick, but I am proud and unembarrassed by that fact. :D

My husband and I LOVE Felicity. We stumbled on it one day while surfing and now we are SO hooked. We bought Season 1 on DVD:o and can't wait for July when Season 2 comes out :o :o

I love teeny bopper music. Britney, Back Street, all of them except 98 degrees.

I'm 35 years old and have a Hello Kitty wallet, bookbag, and I bought stickers and put them on my Palm Pilot. It looks like I have a Hello Kitty Palm Pilot and I get asked about all the time.

Oh, I play Dance Dance Revolution. A lot. I'm pretty good at it. My friends and I are hosting a tournament next weekend. I think i win the dork competition.

I am a total romance novel reader. I can read one of those in like 2 hrs. I don't have to think and I like the happy endings.

I've wreaked 3 cars ( 91 ford escort, 94 vw golf, and 2001 ford focus). One of which, wasn't my fault.

I'm an internet/chat junkie. I spend to much darn time on this thing.

Yesterday I swerved to the opposite side of the road because I paniced when I saw a police car approaching the intersection. Thank God there there was no oncoming traffic.

I can't drive either but I'm much older than you dear. I get teased about it ALL the time. It was fine while I still lived in NYC but living in NJ without a licsense is a pain in the azz. They have a few buses that take you around but there is NOTHING like the NYC transit system.
