Non-Texans UNITE!!!!
ok, ya know.....we have all had the word on Texas, now i wanna hear about some place else.....b/c good lord....we got, like, 80 threads on how Texas kicks ass....we got it. thanks! ;)
for me--lived 14 yrs in Alabama, dawgs. can't get much better South than that......the hospitality, the GENTLEmen (granted, some rednecks, but ya know...s'all good), the not cold weather! it's beautiful there, too....up "north" you got some hills, and down South you got GULF SHORES. a kickin beach not yet over-run by spring breakers....i miss it so much! and ppl are just so darn friendly. and then there's Kentucky......we got basketball (although it's UcK, and i'm not a fan of them, b-ball is b-ball and i admit to gettin the fever), we got the DERBY, we got the derby PARTIES, and it's just a fun place to be. weather doesn't get too hot in the summer, and the winter....chances are good for a white christmas. ok, go ahead you other non-Texans.......you won't be flamed here! :D |
jealousy is a stinky cologne
Kitso KS 361 million dollars you'd have to pay me to live outside of Texas, but i'd still demand visitation rights :D |
Go Diva!
I am a Wisconsin girl, born, bred, and raised! We got your beer, your brats, your corn, what more do you need? THE BREWERS, THE BUCKS, THE PACKERS! And then there's colleges! We've got Wisconsin, Marquette, UWM, etc... On Wisconsin, On Wisconsin... I would like to add, before any flaming, that I have never milked a cow, I grew up in the burbs of Milwaukee, and TEXAS SUCKS. |
booooooooooooooo to kitso for bustin in my non-Texan thread..........go back to your own, boy!!!! :p ;)

TENNESSEE GIRL HERE!!!
Rocky Top Wish that I was on Ole Rocky Top, Down in the Tennessee Hills. Ain't no smoggy smoke on Rocky Top, Ain't no telephone bills. Once there was a girl on Rocky Top, Half bear the other half cat. Wild as a mink, sweet as soda pop, I still dream about that. Rocky Top, you'll always be Home sweet home to me. Good ole Rocky Top, Rocky Top Tennessee, Rocky Top Tennessee. Once two strangers climbed on Rocky Top, Lookin' for a moonshine still. Strangers ain't come back from Rocky Top, Guess they never will. Corn won't grow at all on Rocky Top, Dirt's too rocky by far. That's why all the folks on Rocky Top Get their corn from a jar. Rocky Top, you'll always be Home sweet home to me. Good ole Rocky Top, Rocky Top Tennessee, Rocky Top Tennessee. Now I've had years of cramped up city life, Trapped like a duck in a pen. Now all I know is it's a pity life Can't be simple again. Rocky Top, you'll always be Home sweet home to me. Good ole Rocky Top, Rocky Top Tennessee, Rocky Top Tennessee. Rocky Top Tennessee, Rocky Top Tennessee. Yeah Rocky Top Tennesee eee eee eee. WHOO HOO I can sing the song without bein FLAMED!! |

Just reminded y'all of what y'all lack and stirrin the pot up a bit ;) Kitso KS 361 times i'd just leave my state out of i was from OK |
California has it all. Nice weather, the ocean and beach, the mountains and the snow. It has many others geographical features. California is a very diverse state in many ways. From biotechology and computer technology in the silcon valley to agriculture and farm land to the city life. We are the melting pot of cultures. All nationalities for the most part get along. I love where I live (besides the commute to the city) and I wouldn't change it.
|
Let's hear it for Cali!!!!
Eventhough my brother is the only one in the family that was actually born here; my parents are quite proud of the fact that my brother was considerate enough to be two weeks late so that they could finish travelling through that God foresaken place and not have a Damn Texan in the family! :p |
California does have it all... I love the beaches, lakes, mountains... world class cities...
|
Oklahoma, here. proud of it. I have been taught one truth about Texas in all my days and that is that TEXAS SUCKS.
What more can i say. |

I was born, raised, and have lived all of my life in NEW YORK!!!:D  :)
|
The beach boys didn't write the song "Texas Girls", they wrote "California Girls." :p
Why CA is fabulous: You can find snow and 70 degree weather in the same state at the same time. Home of a zillion sports teams that I probably can't even name yet but just a few: THe Kings, Lakers, Sharks, Ducks, Angels, Niners, Raiders, Giants, A's, etc etc etc... Awesome beaches in San Diego Home of the stars... Hollywood CA. DISNEYLAND! Yosemite San Francisco ANd if you live in SD, you are about 2 (give or take) hours from TJ :D |

But Bocephus did write "Texas WOMEN", which is a pretty dang good song too. Kitso KS 361 |
there is that country song God Bless Texas?
|
enough of the hijackin! :p
get on witcho' nasty ol'Texas bootays.....;) |
NEW YORK....need i say more?????
|
I know Valkyrie's got me on this one....
How can you not love Chicago? I'm born and raised, through and through, and honest to god I love this city. You want to go to the beach? We've got the gorgeous lake and downtown. You like food? Get excited, b/c our pizza CANNOT be compared...the shopping is THE BEST, and the people keep up with life w/out being rude. To get away from the busy city its a short drive away. Our city is full of character and it will always be my home. AND THE CUBBIES ARE #1!!!!! Probably not for long, but another thing we can boast is DEDICATED sports fans. I also love California and New York City....but you can only have one home. |
Cali baby!! unsurpassed in all areas of coolness. :D

LOL, t*p.....
and don't we all know it's all about the bootay! :D i was mainly directing kitso back to his precious Texas threads....he didn't want anything polluting them, so i'm callin the same for here. but i ain't really throwin a hissy fit. y'all Texas kids are welcome to post here, as long as no one is flamed for being from somewhere other than the almighty, all powerful, we-should-all-bow-our-heads-in-reverance-to Texas. ;) that is all! |

I like Nebraska, which is where I was born and raised. I have lived in Omaha for my entire life and it really was the best place to grow up and I hope to move back here someday after college and raise my kids in the same neighborhood that I grew up in.
I currently now live in Missouri for school and I love that state as well b/c of all the trees....something which Omaha is kind of lacking in where I live! That and hills! I love these two states the most b/c I have lived here, but I have love for the rest of the 48 states as well. All are wonderful in their own way I'm sure! :D |

Yay for SD! |
Michigan
* The weather will always keep you on your toes (snowing one day, bathing suit weather the next) * Surrounded by the Great Lakes...perfect for summer getaways * Mackinac Island ROCKS! (it's gorgeous and they have awesome fudge) * Great places for camping and other nature getaways * Canada, Chicago, and Cedar Point are within a reasonable driving distance * Plus, we have the best Teacher colleges and universities in one state...everyone recruits here Last But Not Least... * Where else can your hand double as a map!?! |
I may live in Texas, but I still bleed the Crimson and Cream of the University of Oklahoma! And like the Texas A&M Aggies, we both have a sworn and mortal enemy... that bastion of subversive thought in Austin called the University of Texas, best known as t.u. by the Aggies!
Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner, OK-U! Oklahoma, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, OK-U! I'm Sooner born and Sooner bred, And when I die I'll be Sooner dead! Rah, Oklahoma, Rah, Oklahoma, Rah, Oklahoma, OK-U! |

JERSEY
OK, so I had to get a little Jersey pride in here. What other state, can you be within a metropolitian area-no matter where you go??
You want cows? We got cows Wanna ski?? We got moutians Want the beach-ya we got got that. Don't want to go north of the Mason Dixion Line? Don't have to in Jersey...Don't want to go south of the Mason Dixion Line, don't have to either. BonJovi, Bruce Spingsteen, Frank Sinatra...Baseball...all from here. And may I add, Cream: Technically, the Statue of Liberty lies on the Jersey side...yup. Thats why NY had to take it off their license plates. I could go on forever, as I'm sure we all could about our state. Ok, just had to send out a little Jersey pride :D |
We have a great view of the Statue of Liberty.
|
Hooray for Georgia!!!
