Asparagus

Carrots

Thats about it i am open to trying most everything but carrots.

AZpinkkittie 05-22-2003 10:02 AM

Sigmagrrl-ceviche isn't really raw fish. The shrimp/fish is usually cooked, served in lime juice, tomatoes, and cilantro. But hey, there could be other raw variations. And what the hell is Scrapple?? It doesn't sound tasty.

I will not eat:

Raw carrots (cooked are okay like in stew and stuff)

Peas

Lima beans

Cauliflower (I'm sorry but it looks like a brain)

Tapioca pudding

xo_kathy 05-22-2003 10:15 AM

Actually, ceviche IS raw fish that is "cooked" in the lime juice. The acidity of citrus juice will cook things. But none of the items in ceviche have ever seen a frying pan, grill, steamer, boiling water, etc. - but you should give it a try because they do NOT taste raw. Mmmmm....

I'm with the fat/grissle on meat.

Oysters

Inards of anything

Raw mushrooms

Spicy things - chiles, curry, etc.

swissmiss04 05-22-2003 11:49 AM

pork
organ meats
ketchup (Rumor is they're deporting me for such un-American behavior! :) )
seafood, except maybe salmon or some kind of non-fishy tasting fish
white bread
cola
dairy products (not by choice!!)
raw sliced tomatoes
mushrooms

Dionysus 05-22-2003 11:55 AM

Beef

Steak

Fish

Other seafood

Cola

Root Beer

Dr. Pepper

Peppers

Beer

Mushrooms

Mayo

Mustard

Peas

Beans

Liver

Tripe

Shitlins

Sausage

Milk alone (it has to be w/ cereal)

Watermelon

AZpinkkittie 05-22-2003 12:05 PM

Ok, my bad. I love that stuff though, sushi too.

Totally with you on the Root Beer. My Boyfriend thinks I'm a freak for not liking it, even the smell makes me gag, but that stuff iss just nasty. And yes, down with the innards. Blech!!

I just thought of another one. Egg Drop soup, it looks like a really runny omelet that hasn't been cooked, like, at all. Yuck yuck yuck.

PiKA2001 05-22-2003 12:08 PM

Escargot.......or any kind of snails!

LuaBlanca 05-22-2003 04:07 PM

Red meat, Game meat (hens, venison, bear, etc.) and Pork ..... yuck yuck yuck!

I'm not too fond of orange flavored anything (soda, candy, etc.) (but I LOVE oranges...)

I want to third the notion that innards of ANY ANIMAL is DISGUSTING...

Certain Chinese foods freak me out....like that Peanut Butter Chicken...?? Just plain strange....I don't even eat the food NEAR it on the buffet line....

The skin on chicken/turkey....(even if it's fried...the consistency reminds me of sea-weed/algae-river slime)

Clam-bellies...give me the necks any day!

Ok I am the pickest eater in the world (well I'm up there at least) and I hardly like anything. I'll try to name some but I will spare you of my huge huge list

Here goes:

-Pork
-Eggs
-Steak, (I'll maybe eat it on rarely but it has to be burnt and no fat at all or I won't touch it)
-Any meat that isn't well done (if it has a hint of pink or if chicken is not dry, i'm done even if you try to fix it)
**side note: I can't look at any type of meat that isn't cooked.
-mayo
-mustard
-proccessed lunch meat
-pickles
-cereal with milk
-fish
-beans (any kind)
-dark meat chicken or turkey
-dark soda (only rarely will i drink it)
-ice tea (i will drink a long island though ;) )
-potato salad
-mac salad
-tomatos can only be on deli sandwhiches. no burgers or salads
-big fat pasta noodles
-I can only eat veggie or cheese pizza anything else I pick at

the list goes on but I can't think of anything else
*oh yea and my food can't touch. I've gotten better compared to when i was younger but yea if like my corn touched my salad I couldn't eat either one any more*

And the bad thing about being picky is you can't be rude if you go to someone's house. I always feel so bad, so i'll play with my food till everyone is done to make it look like i ate it.

oh and the whole 'you can't leave the table to you finish your plate' deal. Man I hated that!!! i've had some long nights at the table growing up

CatStarESP4 05-23-2003 02:07 AM

Canned peaches and pears, Spam, Potato Salad(the one with Mayonaise, not Vinaigrette), Macaroni Salad (see rule for potato salad, pork and other pig products, beef, fish (mom ate sardines while pregnant with me), veal, jello (vegetarian version is fine), hard and soft boiled eggs, anything that has congealed areas, sodas (sparkling water is the exception) and fruitcake. http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmili...party/barf.gif
:(

AlphaFrog 05-23-2003 02:16 AM

Pork & Beef

Canned veggies except greenbeans in greenbean cassarole

All cassaroles except greenbean cassarole and my own pizza/veggie cassarole

Chicken Parmagana or Caccatorie (chicken does NOT go with spagehtti sauce!)

KillarneyRose 05-23-2003 03:09 AM

Someone asked what scrapple is? It is pretty much all the leftover parts of a pig mixed up with cornmeal and boiled. People eat it on sandwiches or as a breakfast meat. For the record, it is quite disgusting. But some people love it. Every October, the little town of Bridgeville, Delaware has its "Apple and Scrapple" festival!

What I will NOT eat is cauliflower. It looks like a big ole brain to me! When my daughters went to visit my mom last summer, she served them cauliflower with dinner and apparently they looked at her and asked her what it was! I am so happy that I am a mom and I run my own household and if I never, ever want to serve cauliflower, then dammit, I DON'T HAVE TO!!! :)

DG515 05-23-2003 04:11 AM

man! I thought I was picky!!!

I used to be HELLA picky, but I'm reading some of these and i don't think I'm that picky anymore...maybe it's because of the summer i spent overseas, I had to eat or i'd starve....

Pretty much the only things i dont eat are,
Nasty innards (served grossly)
Raw Meat (fish included)
and here's the main one...
sauerkraut.....it's DISGUSTING!

Greek Love and Mine,
Mandie

-Bananas
-Ham
-Swiss cheese
-Rye bread
-Head cheese-ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
-Sausage/pepperoni/salami

driverdiva69 05-23-2003 04:37 PM

Polish Sausage. I would never touch that with a 10 foot pole!

docetboy 05-23-2003 09:15 PM

Brussel Sprouts
Artichokes
Most fish

tinydancer 05-23-2003 09:31 PM

I don't like:

lima beans
black-eyed peas (taste like mud to me)
cottage cheese
brussel sprouts
raisins

I think fish and chicken are not really cooked unless they are fried to kingdom come.

One summer when my husband was a midshipman, he did an exchange cruise with the Japanese Navy for two weeks and he was a majorly picky eater then. He hated fish and rice, which were apparently staples on the ship he was stationed on. (I thought he was a wimp, by the way, not to try something new)

He managed to sustain himself by drinking lots of water and rationing out the three boxes of Chips Ahoy he'd brought with him

He lost like 15 pounds.
