So. Cal GC Gathering At Downtown Disney July 10 2004
 

HI There,

SAEactive is trying to organize another gathering of GCers at Downtown Disney for July (see the thread in the general forum). We did this last year and it was a blast!!

It looks like Glitter and some of her chapter sisters are going to try to come down for it. What about any other sisters coming out?

So far it looks like its going to be Saturday July 12 at around 5 p.m. dinner at Ralph Brennans Jazz Restaurant (mmmmm the beignets are great). Some of us may meet at the park before then.

Meet for dinner at 5:00 p.m. at Ralphs Brennan Jazz Kitchen.
For those who want to go in to either of the parks we can meet earlier if you want.

Anyway Glitter650 and a couple of other San Franscisco sisters may be coming down for it and it looks like PrincessHeather and a couple of her sisters from her chapter may be coming too.

What about the rest of the sisters on here. One sister has already offered the use of her house if people need a place to crash. There may be others, once I find out if places are needed I'll put the call out to the rest of the Iota Gamma sisters.

July 12, 2003..... I'm there :cool:

We had a really good time at the last gathering. Kind of weird though as someone said. There are always a bunch of Greeks walking around Downtown Disney in gear and you find yourself looking at them. They think you're weird and it can be embarrassing.

New Orleans food.... Yum. The food there is a little froofy; not like down home food. But, we're in Cali and for a local version, it will be pretty good.

Don't know if I'm going to the park. Unlike some of my sisters, I don't have an annual pass so I will have to fork out 48 bucks to get in the park.

I hope to meet a bunch of you there. Everyone should forward the posts to their chapters (especially the Southern Cali Phi Sigs - y'all know who you are). We all have everyone's email. Let's do this....

I wish I could be there! I would love to meet all of you! Unfortunately, or fortunately, it is the week before my WEDDING!!! We will be down there on a mini honeymoon two weeks later, but definately have a blast.

I'll be there with some sisters in August around the 7th or so...do some sisters want to choose a good date that works out best for us all and meet there? I wish I had time to go soon :-(

Alright!! A chance to meet more sisters.

Do me a favor and pm with all the info when you'll be here and where you're staying etc. I'll pass the word around to my chapter sisters and see if we can get in touch with the other chapters from Division 30. Maybe we can make it a good Phi Sig gathering at Disney or at least Downtown Disney as some sisters may not be able to pay the $47 it cost to get in to the park.

Maybe we can get Glitter650 and Princess Heather and their chapter sisters to do a roadtrip down here if they can't make it for the July 12th gathering.

I'll be at the gathering for sure. I'm still debating about going into the park. Carolyn, what time are you going to be at the park?

OK... I don't think that I'll be down for the gathering on the 12 because one of my road trip buddies found out she has a wedding on the 11 to attend... we are still debating. If we don't get to go for the 12... we will go down the following weekend (the 19) :D

Bummer that you may not be able to make it for this coming weekend. But pm me when you know you're definitely coming down and I'll give you my cell number. I'll also try to organize a get together with some of the So. Cal sisters who are in town.

I just wanted to say that i'm glad you all had fun!! I wish I went. (one our sisters is getting married and her bachelorette party was that night. which was lots of fun BTW)

giamama: thanks for realizing how cool we are! (kidding) I am glad you had a good time also. And I'm jealous that you got to hang out with some of my sisters. I'm sure they had a great time with you too. Oh and if something is planned again I'll have to bring my boy along, because he is a Phi Delta Theta also!

2004 gathering
 

Okay Phi Sigs. There is another GC gathering at Downtown Disney in Anaheim. This time it will be on July 10, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. - dinner will be at House of Blues. Check out the chit chat forum for more information.

Hopefully some of the other Cali Phi Sigs will be able to make it. (road trip down here sisters?) Also, any other sisters who may be in So. Cal that weekend it would be great if you could come join us.

Day after my birthday, HoB's wonderful food and key lime pie, shopping... man, I would love to be there. I'll see if I can swing it, but doubt it. We have too many trips in the next couple of months. Have a wonderful time... I will get there eventually!

If anyone wants to plan a meeting in Orlando Disney, lemme know...I can't go July 14-28th but after that I am ALL good :-)

I'm usually down there about once a year depending... my grandparents live in Santa Ana (I actually grew up in Riverside). I will definately say something the next time that we are down there. I love going down to Downtown Disney. That italian resturant is really good.

The last time I was there, I saw someone in a phi sig sweatshirt at the airport but didn't say anything.
