teeth falling out
Lately I have been having a series of downright WEIRD dreams, and last night was no exception.
I dreamt I was back home (in my parents house) and I was standing in our bathroom when I felt my first tooth start loosening up. I freaked out of course, and in seconds, it came out. It was followed by several more, some in groups, until ALL my teeth were gone!:o I freaked out of course, and when I looked at the teeth that had fallen out they were all NASTY!!! (And trust me, I *don't* have nasty teeth! hehehe) Anyway, in my dream I didn't know what else to do, so I went to my parents' room where my mom was reading a book and asked what was the matter. I tried to say something, but I couldn't speak right ... so I wrote down on a tablet "I lost my teeth" ... after that I guess the dream grossed me out so much I woke up.... I didn't sleep very well last night b/c of my dreams, and the thunderstorm rolling in. Would anyone know what my dream could possibly mean? |
I've been having the recurring dream lately of my teeth falling out.
I found out that it means that you're beginning a new phase in your life; kinda like losing your baby teeth signifies you becoming an adult. So, if there's anything going on in your life that is changing and you're kinda scared about it, that might be the reason for your dreams. I know that mine are caused by me graduating and moving onto the adult world and being very scared about it. |
I had the same dream all last summer.
My friend's book on dreams says it means you're afraid a lie you told is catching up with you/ you're going to get caught. I never agreed with that (!) so I like your explanation better.;) |
thanks for the explanations :) It still doens't make sense, but we'll see...
That dream just really freaked me out!!! |
When I was younger, I would have that dream all the time. They were so realistic that before I would wake up and sit up in bed, I would put my hand over my mouth so I could "catch" the teeth that had fallen out into my hands.
I too read that that dream means you fear loosing control and you fear making fool of yourself. Once I realized that and realized what situations made me dream that, they stopped. Plus, lucky for me, when I dream, I usually know I'm dreaming and that helps with the anxiety as well. And, I also heard that the teeth falling out dream is one of the most common dreams you can have. Hope that helps! |
I've been having a dream like this all the time lately. I always want to call the dentist when I wake up in the morning!

A few nights ago I dreamt that a bunch of kids were drowning in the canal by my house, but I was able to save all their lives.
The next day on the news some kids went swimming in a no swim zone and one girl almost drowned, but the firefighters saved her. It happened in my town. I've had some other weird dreams lately. |
About a week ago I had a dream that my boyfriend sang the Perfect Strangers theme song at a truckstop to get a bottle of liquor.
Your guess is as good as mine |
I read in a dream book that losing your teeth means you are going to get some money soon.
I always have dreams about losing my teeth......so I can't understand why I'm not a millionaire. :p |

Ok, this is weird....but in Korean folklore losing your teeth in your dreams on the top row means you will lose someone older to you by death....bottem row, younger than you. weird, eh?
|
i've heard that losing your teeth in dreams means you are insecure about something...
i don't think dreams really mean anything, personally. as for me..i have a big fear of losing my teeth, thats why i dream about losing them. |
People really dream about losing their teeth?

See. I just thought it was because I ALWAYS have vivid and peculiar dreams. I have the tooth one a lot. I also often dream about getting ready to go somewhere and I can't find my shoes. This seems funny to me because I KNOW that there are about 8 pairs of shoes in my living room!!
I'm sure it has great social significance, really. |
I read in a dream book that dreaming of losing your teeth means you're afraid that you'll lose your virginity.
|
It means that you need to see a dentist.
|
Hmm.. I like the money theory better :p j/k
|
I have a dream book and it says losing your teeth in a dream can mean someone you know is going to get pregnant (or it could be you!). YUCK!
|
I know my dreams are odd. I've never dreamed of my teeth falling out, being chased, falling, or really had any kind of nightmare at all.

RANDOM
My grandpa has not had any teeth since I was teeny tiny. When I was about 5 yrs old, he came home with dentures on. He opened his arms to give me a hug and said, "Nanita!!!" (what he calls me) I saw the teeth, they scared the sh*t out of me, so I took off running, crying harder than ever. HE SCARED THE SH*T OUT OF ME!!!!!!

Arierising-- I don't know much about you, but I will take some stabs at your dream
1- is there a bf or friend in your life that you want out of your life? Perhaps the fact that you can never get the gum completely out of your mouth signifies that you are having trouble letting go of these people. Maybe you feel guilty about letting them go and the part of your dream where you are able to get rid of some gum may be when you try to separate yourself from these people (thus trying to get rid of them),but they don't get the hint or there is a part of you that doesn't want them to leave completely. I dunno. There may be something in your life that (past memory or anything that is bad) that you don't want anymore, but it will always be a part of you. |
