Songs that need to be banned from the Universe for all eternity!
 

Feel free to post the songs that you loathe and if you never heard them again in your lifetime, it would be too soon.....

No doubt that these are songs which always seemed to get played at dances and while out at the bar.....sigh! :rolleyes:

I'll start:

"I will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor (it's overplayed, over exposed, over-everything'ed)
"Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison
"Paradise by the Dashboard Light" by Meatloaf (sounds like "Time Warp", which I loathe with a passion)
"Time Warp" from the Rocky Horror Picture Show

Will post a few more when I think of them.

I think Meatloaf did Paradise by the Dashboard light.

If Fleetwood Mac did "Paradise BTDBL" I would agree that it would have to be banned.

However, it was actually done by Meat Loaf, so therefore it should live a little while longer. :p

(come on, CP@K--watch it live from the front row once and you won't think it's so bad. :D)

Yeah, he is, but it's one hysterical show up close. That "scary looking" thing is all act.

Not too long ago, I was working for the bass player as webmaster, so I got the up-close-and-personal treatment. During part of "Paradise", when Patti Russo is rejecting him, he picks a girl out of the audience and pretends to hit on her, until Patti "gets jealous" and comes back. Give you 3 guesses who got that role. Now *that* was a little scary--not because of ML, but because Patti looks like she's on the bleeding edge of sanity herself during their set. :D

The Electric Slide Does anyone even know who sings this? It reminds me too much of my sixth grade gym class.

Totally agree with you there. And don't forget the Bootin Scootin Boogie, Yuck, the memories are painful.

I have to admit, I was a huge New Kids fan. It's a huge part of my childhood, so I will watch the E True Hollywood stories about them without complaint.

Awe God. We have a mixer with one sorority then hit the bar, they request the song. Another sorority next day, guess which song they requested at the bar, "We are family." I swear i was going to go to the DJ booth grab the freaking cd and scratch it to hell.

That stupid stupid stupid song, "I Put Your Picture Away" by Kid Rock. It wasn't bad the first time, but now....AAAAAAGH! And the worst part is that he sang it with two people, so it's on country and pop stations.

"Youth of a Nation" P.O.D. (actually POD boarders on being banned completely just for this song, and the fact nothing else they play is very good.)

britney spears should be seen for the horrible "singer" that she is and be banished into the 12th realm of hell. i swear......everything she sings is horrid. well, the "boys" remix ain't bad, but that's IT.

"My Heart will go on" and every other CELINE DION SONG EVER MADE!!!! AND CELINE WHILE WE ARE AT IT!

I like Cha Cha but when they started making all those remixes, I left it alone. I have one friend, just mention Cha Cha and she starts Charlie Browning. It makes me crazy. But Cha Cha at the roller rink? That, I have to see

I have to disagree on this one...I love the cha cha slide! I'd rather hear that than the electric slide!

Sorry, but "Wind" cannot be banned. Period. Yes it's overexposed, however, that song is what helped me meet my wife in the first place, so it does have it's positive side! ;)

...I worked with kids one summer, and they LOVED the Cha-Cha slide! Ugh!
