Have you been Punk'd?

Punk'd Airs Mondays at 10:30 p.m ET/9:30 p.m. CT

While surfing on weekends, I've found this show. It reminds me of the sketches that were done on TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes.

The show features Ashton Kutcher and Hits formerly of BET.

It's a funny show! :D

Gina1201 05-12-2003 10:18 AM

I have to agree. The show is hilarious!! BTW, the season ended on the 5th but you know MTV will show rerun after rerun. I still think that the funniest one was with Justin Timberlake.

cricket 05-12-2003 10:32 AM

Yes, this show is hilarious. My favorite is the one with Seth Green and the "FBI" jumping through the windows

librasoul22 05-12-2003 10:59 AM

My favorite was the one with Pink and also the little boy interviewing celebs on the red carpet. He was trying to piss them off, like he called Christina Applegate over and told her he loved her music and Genie in a Bottle, lol.

Justin was about to cry. That one was funny.

FeeFee 05-12-2003 11:04 AM

I watch the show and it's pretty funny. I like the one where the little boy interviews the celebrities and gets everyone mixed up - lol. :D :D

PrettyGirl03 05-12-2003 11:07 AM

I think that show is hilarious!!! I like the one with Jessica Simpson and her husband, and when Al (hits) told the Russian girl her car was towed because the valet parked it in a handicapped spot...too funny!!! :D

vanda 05-12-2003 11:11 AM

You gotta see the one where they get Ashton's costar from that 70s show. When Al was tearing up his car, he looked ready to cry. They had Britney on this weekend but I got distracted by the way she was smacking on her gum.

I thought that the one with Britney was SO annoying. Besides that, her she had on like 3 different outfits, and needed a bra! :o Plus, the rap she did was

why didn't dude do something? he just sat there like a punk....the show was aptly named, i guess.

crunkone 05-12-2003 01:08 PM

The one with Justin Timberlake was HILARIOUS!!!! I felt sorry for him. I would hate for someone to punk me like that. Especially on national television. All in the name of entertainment, I guess.

I also liked the one with Frankie Muniz. They let him think that someone stole his $250,000 car. He was hurt!

enlightenment06 05-12-2003 03:47 PM

Yeah I like that show. The Timberlake episode was really funny. I also liked the scene where they got one of the Backstreet Boys and one the women from Real World Las Vegas

Conskeeted7 05-12-2003 06:13 PM

The one with Jerome Bettis knocking the guy out is hilarious. I also like the one with the amature boxer getting in the ring with Oscar DelaHoya. The show keeps me laughing!

Justin's by far was the best. They really had the details down. Also, Muniz deserves that. That car costs over 5 times my salary. That's right, I'm hating on the little boy.

Word. This little boy is freakin 16 driving a $250,000 car. Wtf goes on?

Dancerella1908 05-13-2003 01:58 AM

Yes, this show is funny. I'm just surprised that some of the people being punked don't recognize Hits from B.E.T. when he's playing a prank on them.

I liked the show when Ashton played pranks on Justin Timberlake, Pink and his assistants. Brittany was not a convincing actress/prankster in her episode and yes I agree her outfits were tacky and she needed a bra!!!

OH MY GOD, that had my brother and me CRACKING THE HECK UP!!!! I am now an addict! There are so many funny ones. I also loved the one with Justin Timberlake and the one with that dude that was getting Escalade messed up! He couldn't do ANYTHING cause he was SCARED! FUNNY!

ykimber 05-25-2003 04:54 PM

Well Iam a little late because I don't have cable, but I am at my mother house this weekend and I did see Punk'd for the first time I must say this show is very funny. I also like to one with Justin and also the one with Frankie. I might have to have my mother tape the new season when it comes on and send me the tapes!

I'm late on this but they had a punk'd marathon on this weekend so I'm in the loop. :o

How do these people NOT recognize Hits? I watch B.E.T. once and while and know the boy. I would see him and KNOW something was up.

AKA2D '91 05-27-2003 01:09 PM

I still haven't seenthe episodes with:
Oscar de la Hoya
Jerome Bettis
nor all of the episode with Rosario Dawson

It will be hard unless they change "casts".

vanda 05-28-2003 10:47 AM

Is it me or does Ashton Kucher start to get annoying in the later episodes, like he's starting to believe his own hype?

What has me ctfu every time I watch the one where hits messes up Wilmer's car is when he says " Once you go black, you never go back. Once you go white, that ain't right".

Sahara 05-31-2003 12:30 AM

I saw that one. Wilmer really was PUNK'D!! He just stood there and did nothing. I don't have cable in my apt., just in the lounge (grad dorm), so I've only seen two episodes. I saw the one with Justin Timberlake. I was CTFU when they smashed the guitar!

Gina1201 10-27-2003 06:16 PM

NEW Season!!!

Did anyone watch the season premiere? When Missy and Usher got punk'd I was CTFU. Missy looked so PISSED!!! "Don't make me hop on this glass, I'm a BIG girl!" And Usher looked like he was TOO through with his little brother. Reruns will be on all this week with a new episode this Sunday at 9 PM EST.

ClassyLady 10-27-2003 07:32 PM

I was crying when Usher had to come pick up his brother. I think I would have let his thievin' behind been arrested too. Usher was taken aback when the dude suggested he do a radio commercial to pay for the merchandise. "I think I'm worth a lot more than $522!"

AKAngel904 10-27-2003 10:01 PM

I was rolling when Missy put that foot on the table, all I could think was, "she is going to cut her leg up if she stand and it break for real."

AKA2D '91 10-28-2003 09:03 AM

I tried to watch the repeat last night. Unfortunately, I fell asleep during Hilary Duff's driving lesson. Missy had me rolllllllllllllinggggg! I want to catch Usher's. :D

AKA2D '91 12-08-2003 11:40 AM

Did anyone see Dre and Big Boi's episode last night?

Yes, I have never heard so much bleeping in my life. :o

RedefinedDiva 12-08-2003 07:40 PM

Amber T. was really hurt about giving that dog away. She was about as hurt as Jamie Prestley was when they told her she was running a sweat shop!!

I am still waiting to see the one with Missy and Usher.

Ashton Kutcher says the joke is no longer on him — he announced Friday that he's pulling out of the MTV prank show, "Punk'd," after two seasons.

His representatives swear it's not a trick, but anything the prankster Kutcher says must be taken with a bit of skepticism.

The last new episode featuring Kutcher, star of "That '70s Show," is set to run Sunday, where the victim of a practical joke will be singer Beyonce Knowles.

"We have had an incredible time doing the show and have decided to stick with the old adage of `leave 'em wanting more' and that's how we feel with the show," said Kutcher, 25, who stars and co-produces the series.

"Punk'd" is a version of the old "Candid Camera" that preys on young celebrities. Among Kutcher's victims: singer Nick Lachey, who thought his wife, Jessica Simpson, had allowed her hillbilly relatives to move their trailer onto his mansion estate, and Justin Timberlake, who was moved to panic when he thought all his belongings had been seized because he owed $900,000 in back taxes.

"Today is a sad day for MTV, but probably a happy day for Hollywood. Celebrities can rest a little easier knowing that the Punkings have ceased," said Lois Curren, an MTV executive in charge of series development.

It's possible the announcement is a trick aimed at duping new prank victims. A page on MTV's Web site that promotes Sunday's season finale pledges: "But don't worry, the new season starts in March."

I cant wait to see the one with Beyonce to see how she reacts. Because the one I saw with Ashanti had me a bit taken back with all the foul language, especially in front of her mom. Respect please?

Honey, Ashanti's mother is the quintessential hoodrat. She is living vicariously through her daughter and I'm sure she was in no way offended by the things that came out of her daughter's mouth. She probably encouraged Ashanti to curse around her to do the friend thing instead of enforcing the mother thing. That relationship is horrible . . .

AKAngel904 12-14-2003 07:21 PM

Yeah, her mom does look to be a bit off da chain. But, my mom and I are cool, but I dont ever disrespect my mom by cursing in front of her.

AKA2D '91 12-15-2003 09:02 AM

Did anyone see it? Ummmmmmm, Beyonce's reaction  me. I mean c'mon! You THINK you have ruined Christmas for these kids. Show some remorse. :o

I don't think they Punk'd her REALLY good. I mean, they could have played up the situation even more - ambulances, etc.

And I agree....her reaction was like she was stuck in stupid somewhere.

delph998 12-15-2003 05:15 PM

Beyonce...

I think the set up was great, the children, the big Christmas tree, santa, Mary, baby Jesus, etc. But I don't like how they handled it after the tree fell. They should have played it out some more.

I think her reaction was like that because she just didn't know how to act. She was shocked and she was trying to stay composed. My impression.

Ashanti:

I was totally disappointed when I saw how Ashanti used profanity in front of her mother. I kinda got the impression that her mother was living through her, but there's still a limit. I mean the F word came out like every other word. She lost mad points there!

I had NO IDEA that she was with her MOTHER in that episode.

I would never speak that way in front of either of my parents. She just acted like a JERK in that episode.

It's Coming Back

MTV 'Punk'd' Again by Kutcher
Thu Apr 1,11:22 PM ET Add Entertainment - Reuters to My Yahoo!

By Andrew Wallenstein

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Four months after ending his top-rated MTV series "Punk'd," Ashton Kutcher (news) has apparently changed his mind.

The music channel said Thursday that the celebrity prank showcase will return to its schedule next month for a third season, with eight episodes already in production. Kutcher, who serves as star and executive producer of "Punk'd," had said in December he decided to "stick with the old adage of 'leave 'em wanting more"' and discontinued the series.

I knew it was coming back. He just had to get the celebrities off their toes. I hope they have some good ones this season.

And because his movies are lame. Punk'd is his crutch.

Conskeeted7 04-28-2004 12:09 PM

I thought the new episode was just alright...

the prank on Eve was too unrealistic. I couldn't believe she got that mad. I would've just sat there like he was crazy. But Matthew Perry was actually pretty funny.
