I do NOT want Jenna to win.

I really hate a world that rewards people who treat others like crap. Jenna is no different than she was in HS. Rob, as much of a snake as he's been, never treated anyone poorly or didn't even speak to them for several days (Jenna didn't speak to Christy). And Matt's never been nasty to anyone.

Those are the final 3..... we'll find out within an hour and half who wins it.

Plus living in Pittsburgh, every other commercial is the local news talking about such and such exclusive with Jenna.

ARGH!

This is the first I've watched it but I've gotten the main idea from recaps and such. Sorry Danielle, but Jenna is now in the final two. I have a feeling though, that the jury (except for Heidi) will vote her butt out.

I think her sacrafice will do god for her chances. Alex among others will vote for Jenna to win.

I have no idea. She doesn't have an agent. The only thing i've ever seen her in is Stuff and Maxim.....

Oh, for heaven's sake! WHY did Christy, of all people, vote for her?! Does anyone have any idea?

As much as everyone seems to not have wanted Jenna to win, I am very happy for my sister! She seems to realize how she came across as she watched the episodes with the rest of the country. I don't condone or "approve" of some of her behavior, but she is an adult. Therefore, she makes her own decisions.

As for why Christy voted for her, she explained it during the Reunion Show ~ "She Outwitted, Outlasted, and Outsurvived" her. That is why she voted for Jenna. Jeff Probst asked her that at the very beginning of the special.

If there is one thing that I have learned going to ODU, a commuter school, where many of the PNM come from local high schools. PEOPLE DO CHANGE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL! SO, we have a rule, we don't base our opinions during Recruitment on what we know about a young women just from their high school years.

I just remember how Rudy Boesch was treated here in Virginia Beach, with the whole "he got the sympathy because he is old and not well-liked and it was fixed-lawsuit...." on of the other Survivors filed. Rudy is an awesome guy, who just tells it like it is - whether you like what he is saying or not...(But I am digressing!) Let Jenna enjoy the fact that she won. Everyone is going to forget who won Survivor: Thailand in about a month anyways!!!

That's great that you wanted your sister to win, and it's totally cool that you're happy for her. She has given a lot of PR to Zeta, although it's a matter of personal opinion if it was positive or negative. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and especially in this case, I have seen a VERY wide array of opinions.

I didn't say anything about Zeta in the thread, just venting my frustrations about a television show and a person that I actually know in real life.

I appreciate your opinion, and I am not quite sure why you feel this way about Jenna. I know at times, I was not to sure about the PR for ZTA. But I do know that she felt bad about the way that she acted on TV.

I like you just posted my $.02 on the Survivor Finale. I didn't think she was going to win. And am very happy!!! I wish they had at least done some kind of interview with her mom, who is winning her battle with Breast Cancer. Something Jenna was very vocal about during Survivor...That was something that bothered me. OH WELL! I guess it wasn't enough drama....

I watched the reunion, and heard that. I'm still not very clear on that as reasoning. Maybe I'm being a bit dense, but wouldn't that statement apply to both of the final two? Not to mention that it was AFTER she was voted off- after Jenna "Outwitted, Outlasted, and Outsurvived" her, that she swore she would make sure she lost.

If anyone can explain this further, I'd greatly appreciate it. I just don't follow Christy's reasoning.

Nooooooooooo! Worse yet, what if her face is painted onto the wall at the Primanti's in the Strip? Having someone so mean so close to Mr. Rogers just doesn't seem right.

I can't find the thread, but does anyone remember last year there was an interview with a Pittsburgh woman who claimed to be a "Zeta" (that was all, just "Zeta") and was bragging that she enjoyed treating pledges poorly? No one on GC could figure out if she was really in a GLO or was a perp or what.

Could that have been Jenna?

OK. I'm kind of ambivalent about Jenna winning...I think it's cool a Greek won, I'm conflicted about the whole stripping on TV and being kind of a mean person (particularly since she was unkind to Christy b/c of her hearing impairment, which is an issue near and dear to my heart)....

On the other hand, she seemed genuine about having learned something about herself from watching it on TV. I'm sure she has been beat up pretty badly (this thread prime example)...you would have to be hollow not to take some of the criticism to heart and become a better person for it.

Here's the real question of the day: What was with Jenna and Matt hanging all over eachother? Tell me you didn't notice. They had their hands on eachother from the very beginning. He's not half bad looking w/o the whole skeleton man thing going on. I seriously did not recognize the man. So, are they an item?

Jenna so did not deserve to win.... ROB deserved to win..... She sucks, she is a disgrace to Greek women everywhere. And she brings a shame on all young women..

I think Rob should have won too, but only because I think he played the game so well. He was a bastard and that's what it takes to win the game (or has in the past). Now if we're baseing this on morals, ethics, or just being nice, the winner should have been Matt, or Butch or Christy.

FWIW everyone, I would have the same reaction if the nicest person on the show won and was from Pittsburgh. The media just go NUTS here when a local gets any kind of national recognition. This is the front page story in both papers and I'm sure it'll be all over the free newsweeklies too. Plus KDKA (the CBS affiliate here) which was formerly the most respectable news station in town has become a Survivor pimping device. Their big thing is "the hometown advantage" so naturally they are going to be all over this.

No, I didn't like Jenna and Heidi. The were self absorbed. But lying and coniving are part of someones character too. I know Rob was jokng, but seriously if I was his girlfriend I wouldn't believe andything he said.

I have a question... I flipped back and forth last night to Survior... (I have not seen previous episodes of this Survior (though I did check out the website, when I heard a Pi Phi was on the show).

Are Jenna and Matt (I think that is his name) dating? They held hands, had their hands on each others knees.. etc.

I don't think so.... I think maybe Jenna found out how hot he was in real life.

Heck, I was blown away by how good he looks outside of the Amazon!

There's a pretty big age difference there....11 years I think. Although she played it coy when asked about it during an interview. Right after or before she basically said that she'd do Playboy.

I maybe saw half of one episode of the show so I trust fellow GC'ers when they say Jenna portrayed herself in a very bad light. I'll apologize on behalf of other Zeta's for that.
I only watched Survivor 1 because I rather not see the horrible, mean, competitive creatures people become when money is involved. The backstabbing really upsets me, but I guess thats the way the game is played. Maybe thats' the reason she won and hopefully she learned a little something about herself.

Rob was lying and anipulative, but he was up front about it and he helped out around the camp. When Jenna thought she had it in the bag with Alex and Heidi she didn't do a damn thing, and when she thought she was next to be ousted she didn't do a thing either... lazy and spoiled sums her up.

Heidi looked like a skeleton with two water balloons hanging from her and I though Jenna was much prettier in the amazon without makeup than last night.
Neither of them look to be hot or model beautiful. I honestly thought they were average and Christy is much prettier than them to me.

AND- I did not like the way Jenna treated Christy because she was deaf...

I agree that Jenna's behaviour was worse than Rob's. And I would hope that after watching how she behaved she will change. All I am saying is that neither Jenna's nor Rob's behaviour was very fraternal.

Regarding Matthew, I read on cbs.com that "In 2002, Von Ertfelda [that's Matthew's surname] was listed as one of People Magazine's Top 50 Bachelors. "

WHAAAAAT? I find him odd, that's for sure, but definitely not hot!

She was talking about the possiblity of her posing for Playboy on Extra. :o

I don't understand the fuss about Jenna's looks. She's no prettier than most of the other women I've seen in the past few years who go to Pitt, and less attractive than quite a few.

I guess it's her 15 minutes of fame, though!
