I'd be a member, fo' sho', but I rarely have time to log in. :( In a few weeks, though, when I quit this 70 work hour week nonsense, I'll have all the time in the world. Perhaps I'll be doing the things I missed out, but soon enough, I will return to LJ on a regular basis. :)

So everyone always talks about Live Journal codes...but I registered for free and have a journal there, and I never needed a code! Can someone fill me in? :confused:

Up until a few months ago, LJ required you to either be invited by an existing LJer (someone to generate an invite code) or pay for your account. I guess LJ's been banking in the $$$ to allow members to sign up for free now.

Not quite but that's more interesting than the actual real story. :)
The invite codes were never intended as a permanent feature; they were introduced because the massive growth of new accounts was overloading the servers and so many hit and run accounts were created for abuse. Now they've completely overhauled the server infrastructure and the abuse team has grown, they stopped needing them.

i have an account on their, i should add this to my list of favorites...i havent updated my profile on it in forever.
