Yep, I'm from May 2000 so I know exactly what you are talking about!

LOL... ah yes, those were the days :) There was a lot of "damning" going around :) I don't remember the Alf debate, but I remember when Greek Life and Chit Chat split!

add onto that... you remember the like 10-page long thread about "sorority pants" LOL

edit: I just realized that probably looked wierd, since I registered on this name in 2002... I originally registered as Dewgirl in Aug. 2000 :)

Yes I am semi-old school from Feb 2001. GL and Chit Chat were already separated, but I remember the rest of it!

You remember when the thread Rush at UCSC was actually about wishinhopin going through rush. Look how far she has come. :D

Back when drunknnole was still allowed to post, the V's made life interesting, AXOalum shot down anyone needed it, billymac was always good for a interesting thread, people were berated for not 'doing a search' before they started a new thread, every sorority girl's necessities was a thread filled with 'I gotta have my kate spade, tiffany neclakce and bmw!' and alternatively 'You're making sorority girls look bad!' posts....

(my new handle says i've only been around a year or so, but i had to reregister cause i had password issues. i've been around since before chit chat became the kingdom it is today...)

Hatchet STILL emails me now and then....still wants my Ritual. I tried to explain the public Christian teachings of LXA, but alas, I'll still burn for eternity according to him.

Funny, I though repenting of sins was done via prayer, not by emailing secret Rituals over the internet! :rolleyes:

I've been here since October 2000. I was a lurker since the summer of 2000. I was here for all the V and Hatchett drama. Good fun! :rolleyes:

- unfsigmachi and some teke went at it for 3 threads
- the little green buffalo confused the newbies
- billymac had weekly updates, ala jim rome style.

*The website was only grey and white, instead of PURPLE, grey, and white
*They assigned passwords for your username, now you can choose your password.

When random ass people would post alleged rituals on the site.

When Hootie lived in Austin.

When GC was like the wild west - hardly anyone respected the rules and would use any language at all, and post or say anything.

We'd help newbie through her hs crises. lol.

The battle of the V's. And their cards and emails.

When GC went down for 2 weeks during 9-11.

I am going on my 3 year anniversary next month. What are ya'll getting me?

OH MY GOD! I can't believe you remembered. Gosh there was some huge flaming going on on that site!

I also remember when there was maybe 3 moderators, John, Mikki the DZ (mgdzkm433) and maybe an NPHC person.

I do remember the birth of the Chit Chat forum, and when you (as a non-moderator) used to be able to see the existence of a Moderators forum, even though if you were a non-moderator, you could not actually access it.

When SH80 was disliked as much as uf_pike is today.

Don't forget about SH80er.

Did we ever find out if SH80 was a guy or a girl? Last I remember it was a guy in a sorority! Or was it a girl in a fraternity?

Dionysus was SH80 and SH80er. She has turned over a new leaf. :D

The lightbulbs! Instead of folders there were lightbulbs to tell you if there were new posts.
