Keeping it Real. . .

Sorhors and Friends of Sigma,

If you had that one chance to tell one of our prominent stars how you felt about their behavior. Who would you select and what would you say to that person?

I would pick Whitney Houston and I would tell her to get some serious psychological counseling.

I'd tell that "Jenny From The Block" that she's changed a WHOLE HELLLA LOT since she's got her rise to fame and she needs to watch how she treats people. Also, just because a man is your "boy"friend... doesn't make him husband material, and flaunting these men in public does give off the perception that you are a h......yep.

I bet you if I treated her the way she's treated some people she'd be crying.

See, that's what I'm saying cause I was thinking about a couple of folks who need to get it together.

1. Lil Kim

2. R Kelly

Both have self esteem issues. i would say to LK..

Sister,Girl, put some clothes on, get a voice trainer, and have some SELF RESPECT for yourself. Also, if I gave you a dollar, please go buy a CLUE! The designers care nothing about you. You are a DOLLAR SIGN to them and nothing more. One word: TOKEN. Make that two words: SANKOFA

To. RK...
I just can not find the words.... wait! Yes I can.
Molester, um molester, and molester.
You can have all the scantily clad grown women in your videos as you want [to make you look like a man] but the fact of the matter is you are SICK and NEED TO GET HELP BROTHER. Jail won't solve your PROBLEM but professional services will.
There is a technical term for people who don't know how to deal/relate to people of their own age. It slips my mind

sigmadiva 05-03-2003 11:48 AM

my pick is...

...Catherine Zeta-Jones. It is not so much her behaivor, but her attitude. She seems so smug now that she is with Michael Douglas. Also I would tell her that she is not 'all that'.

tnxbutterfly 05-03-2003 12:42 PM

My pick

Mike Tyson

Dude, you need serious help. You bite folks ears off, threaten to eat folks children, and are just all round scary.

I'm starting to believe the movie Anger Management was made just for you

ladygreek 05-03-2003 05:58 PM

"O"

I would tell Oprah to stop being a know-it-all. I get tired of her bringing "experts" on her show and then spending more time talking then they do.

SeriousSigma22 05-03-2003 07:30 PM

Good Folks,

You can add more than one person to your list! I just realized that our stars have just as many problems as the mainstream American stars. !

Serioussigma22

bluethunder 05-05-2003 04:13 PM

i would issue a blanket statement to our beloved jenny from the block, mariah carey, and lil kim that it IS OKAY to be fully clothed and let your talent sell the records. keep a little something a secret for the after party!

to my beloved 50 cent, eminem, jah rule, and busta rhymes: you all are very talented lyricists. STOP WITH THE DAMN diss records, trying to get your jokes in on each other. it doesn't matter who started the "ish", it is immature to try to finish it. it just makes us look bad as a people. besides, the diss record tradition needs to be retired after TUPAC broke us off with "hit 'em up".

to my girl, missy elliot: we love your music, even if we can't understand all the lyrics. but this new single, "pussycat". we all have had those thoughts about wanting to turn a brother out so much so that after the relationship is over, the only way he can go on with his life is by total and life long celibacy. BUT we don't want to hear songs about that on the radio! the radio ain't the forum for everything!

B2K: y'all are cute and your songs are catchy. but go to school. something in my heart tells me that a college education will serve you all well in the future, after this whole teenage heart throb thing blows over.
my 22 cents

BirthaBlue4 05-05-2003 04:55 PM

Sorors, yall are off the chain lol.

Hmm, let me see here...

1. Emeniem, sweetie, you need to let the anger go and find yourself some happiness. You have your daughter, you're (suppossedly) back with your ex-wife, stop the madness and get some happy. I'm not saying rap about daisies and sunshine, but dag, your mama is a dead topic. Dissin is a dead topic. Move on.

2. Dear Jennifer...you wondered on Oprah why people think of you like a slut/whore/trick...well, its because you're a slut/whore/trick. 3 husbands in less than 5ish years is a bit much. You say you go with what's makes you happy in the moment, we'll, you're fickleness (new word) is not becoming. You are beautiful and a dynamite dancer and your songs...well, their inter...ok you can't sing, but you're a wonderful talent, but don't waste that on these men. Oh, and just because your rich doesn't give you the right to be a b***h to any and everyone that crosses your path that's not a potential husband number 684. Necessita una vida nueva. AHORA!!!

3. Oprah, I'm looking at you now and you NEED to take off that skirt with that jacket thing, and if you ever wear that bootleg straw curl wig again, I'll have to have you jumped LOL.

4. LaLa, on MTV, you need to lay off the weed before you go on air, you look sick.

5. Monie, the cartoon chick, go back to the drawingboard, your show sucks...no BET sucks as a whole.

6. R...my soror sufficiently dealt with you, but if you think comparing sex with one of us to two gorillas in the jungle making love...you need to reevaluate more than your whorish ways with young children.

Phew, I think that's enough for today LOL

NinjaPoodle 05-05-2003 05:09 PM

OK ladies! You all have me FALLIN' OUT MY CHAIR!!!

Steeltrap 05-05-2003 05:26 PM

Bro: diesel

My beloved Shaq Daddy, you need to learn to speak clearly and learn to not wear checks, stripes, all that. You're worth more than $100 million. Take a cue from Kobe (and his fine Italian tailoring) and Michael Jordan.

Edited to add: :o couldn't add a link.

The Other Mike

Mr Jackson,

I know many of use here at GC grew up listening to you. Some of us even tried to be like you. I remember being in the 6th grade and trying to stand on toes like you.

Somewhere along the line, you changed. The marriages, the sleepovers with the children, dangling your poor child over the balcony. What are you thinking? Where you not happy as a child? You can get help for that you know.

Eirene_DGP 05-14-2003 11:51 AM

I would tell all the video ho's, britney, and mariah scary to please put their clothes back on. Real women do not dress this way, so stop giving egotistical men that far fetched idea.

SeriousSigma22 05-14-2003 08:46 PM

Eiren_DGP,

I heard that!

Serioussigma22:cool:

Aurora6 05-29-2003 01:11 PM

Mr. Woods - I'mma need you to grow a backbone and stand up for important issues. I think you should be more vocal and visible in support of women's rights within the realm of your sport.

Not too many years ago, your black behind wouldn't have been eligible to play the sport you do at the many places you travel. (Heck, you get flack now,....remember the Master's Joke about you serving Greens & Fried Chicken at your dinner?)

You don't have the option of being silent on important matters within your realm of influence. Somewhere I read, To whom much is given....

SeriousSigma22 05-30-2003 10:40 PM

Sorhor,

That's a Bible verse - To whom much is given, much is required. . . .

As an avid basketball fan, I just want to tell you thank you for hangin' it up. You have truly left a mark on my life as an athlete and now a coach. But... you almost had me mad with this dream to resurrect those sorry Wizards. "Just let it go, Just let it go."

Also, thank you once more for getting back with Juanita. You had me scared there, too. It's not often we see a strong black athlete/man stay with the woman that has stuck by him & raised his children. You made a smart move.

bluethunder 06-24-2003 11:57 AM

don't call it a comeback!

okay,
i'm back at it in a big way, y'all...
i really want CLARENCE THOMAS to recognize what is really going on in this country. as long as we have SYSTEMATIC racism and discrimination, there will always be a need for AFFIRMATIVE ACTION. so long as there are people who are disadvantaged based on statuses they were ascribed to by virtue of their birth, we need mechanisms to ensure that they have the same opportunities as those priviliged classes in society. NOW, as one of the greatest benefactors of ALL TIME from having AFFIRMATIVE ACTION, how DARE your little black behind forget how you got to the supreme court! and don't you dare quote FREDERICK DOUGLAS in explaining why you voted against AFF. Action.-- that's some kind of blasphemy! talking abou "black people need to pull themselves up by the boot straps"... as they said on the tom joyner morning show-- CLARENCE WOULDN'T EVEN HAVE BOOTS IF IT WEREN'T for AFFIRMATIVE ACTION!

next, for those of you keep an eye on politics... they had the prospective democratic candidates speaking on sunday. it does my heart good to see two African-Americans throwing their hat in the ring, so to speak. just one little thing...
to my dawg AL SHARPTON-- you were off the chain answering those questions about diversity("clarence thomas may be my color, but he's not my kind!") and the war in iraq("i wouldn't have a problem pulling out of iraq, because i never would have went in to begin with!")... BUT...
when will you cut the perm? i love the relaxed look--i sport it myself-- but judging the size of the curls in your coiff, i know you spend more time on your hair than i do...
let it go, brother al. let it go.

La La - By far listening to you talk is down right painful

Lil Kim- Put some clothes on please and enough with the plastic surgery

Anna Kournikova- how about you --WIN A MATCH !!!!

Tyrse- can you stop taking yur shirt off...u know what scrap that last thought...keep doing yur thing my brother:D

Bonecrusher-NOW you really need not to EVER EVER take you shirt off again (for those of you who were lucky enough to miss it...he took it off during his performance for the BET awards pre show

Thats my .22 cents
:)

enlightenment06 07-10-2003 06:35 PM

I gotta get at Bob Johnson. What in the fudge is BET? Buffoon Entertainment Televsion? I expect more from a member of a BGLO, I really do. How about you take your 4 BILLION dollars and actually HELP your own people.

tnxbutterfly 07-10-2003 08:23 PM

Oh Britnney

Ms Spears, Ms Spears,

Why did you try and play your millions and millions of fans? Everybody knew you and Justin did the do. So why try and make it like your fans are stupid. Now I've never been a fan of yours, but it just pisses me off when people think I'm stupid.

We are all adults here. You could of just come right out and said "HELL YEAH, I JUMP JUSTIN EVERY CHANCE I GET!":D ;)
I wouldn't of been mad at ya. But no, you choose to take the innocent route.

Look at you now. Look at you now

SeriousSigma22 07-12-2003 08:20 AM

Wow! I take a couple of days off from GC and you've taken it to another level!

Too funny!

I guess there has been a lot going on in the celebrity world...

:D

SeriousSigma22 07-13-2003 08:05 PM

Sorhor TRSimons,

You said it sorhor! You know I really wouldn't want to be a celebrity because your life isn't your own. Everytime they turn around someone is taking a picture or writing something (good, bad, or indifferent) about them. I wouldn't want that kind of pressure.

To the lawmakers in Austin: What were you all smoking when you made some of those laws that are currently in effect? That must have been some powerful stuff:p :o

I would tell Jay-Z to stop exploiting our youth with that mess that he is always putting in their ears and that since he has made his career off of the backs of young black youth that he has exploited for the almighty dollar that he should be trying to pay some of it back - not that that would undue the damage.

BlueReign 03-24-2004 04:56 PM

To the Jackson clan,

don't make any more records, movies, have anymore face altering surgeries, stay to yourself, keep your clothes on Janet etc. and maybe, finally, you can have that so-called "normal" life complete with sleepovers and cookies and milk that you so desperately want.

Paula Abdul, I'm proud of you for showing some spunk on AI4 and speaking your mind. I thought that you would be stuck always finding the positive in the most awful contestants and giving the most syrupy sweet sentiments to ease the hurt feelings. Thanks for being honest when needed. Thanks for not having a problem telling Simon Cowell anything to his face. LOL Lastly, thank you for being a great '90s pop singer and realizing that your time in the studio and on stage has passed. Thank you!

Dr. William Cosby: We betta not see you lecturing anymore black people about disciplining their kids and valuing education. True, it's a truth that needs to be heard; we can begin to overcome our problems by simply admitting that they exist. But you may not be the person to preach to us. You can't even discipline yourself to keep your "romantic" overtures focused on your wife, and you obviously don't have the common sense to make sure your house is in order before telling people how to run their homes and their lives. Sure, your kids are educated, and you focused well on making sure you were a good parent. But you can't possibly think we're gonna take you as seriously as role model for parenting. No one expects you to be flawless, but messing around on your wife for decades is unacceptable. The synopsis: Hey, Bill! Sit yo hypocritical arse down!

In order to be a great singer, one must know how to sing, huh?

I would just like to let all those folks who are down with the Chihahua (I think I spelled it right) trend know that them dogs is ug-uh-ly. I don't care if you are Paris Hilton, Britney Spears or whoever, what is the point of having a little dog, if it isn't even murch cute? EW!!! Get a Bichon Frise (I KNOW everyone isn't poodle material. I mean they are too smart for some owners :) ), or consider a wig/hat/paper bag for Fido. For real.
