Has anyone heard Beyonce's "In da club" remake? If so, what did you think of it?

Public Enemy Takes on Bush

(Associated Press) -- Hip-hop pioneers Public Enemy are still fighting the powers that be.

The group, known for anthems including "Don't Believe the Hype" and "Fight The Power," will take on President Bush with their new CD-DVD, "Son of a Bush," scheduled for May 6 release.

The title track, which first appeared on last year's "Revolverlution," criticizes both the current president and his father.

Among the lyrics: "Have you forgotten/I been through the first term of rotten/The father, the son/and the holy Bush... I told y'all when the first Bush was tappin' my phone... Can't truss 'em."

The group joins other artists including the Dixie Chicks and the Beastie Boys who have spoken out against the president.

I was a Kazaa junkie until recently...these haters at work made us uninstall it!! Boo!

Is there ANYTHING out there I could use other than them? I have heard about Kazaa Lite but am not sure.

I haven't heard that remix yet. I'm still feeling 50 Cent's "21 Questions" right now. Love that song.

I heard that Lil' Mo and Free, yes Free from 106 & Park, have made a response record called "21 Answers". I haven't heard the actual song yet though.

I heard that too, and haven't heard it yet either. I looooooove 21 Questions. Is it just me or is 50 the finest brotha. I'm not talking about looks, I'm talking about all of that body!! He's sexy to me!

I heard Beyonce's remake of "In tha Club" and I honestly didn't care for it. I think she is trying to change her image from the "i'm too cute" to the "i'm trying to be gully-like my man jay-z"! I never really cared for her as a singer so my portrayl of the single could be judgemental.

I agree with the image change. On Jay-Z's new mixtape she's on there and this is what she says:

"I can say whateva. . .okay. . . This is baby thug (:rolleyes: WTF??). . .Make my money nucca"

I was like :o :mad: :eek: :confused: after I heard that.

I checked out his single "Dance With My Father" on AOL's first listen. It was a nice song about his childhood relationship with his father. However, AOL states that the CD hits stores on the 10th of June. Whatever the date I'll make sure to get it.:)

Has anyone heard Beyonce's latest with Jay-Z "Crazy Love"? Any reviews?

It definitely has a different vibe. Again, I need to see a video. :o I guess it could grow on me as long as it is not played out. :mad:

That very would could be true. Since it has the whole Father/Son vibe, I guess the marketers want to release it close to Father's Day.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO digging Tamia's Officially Missing You. I just LOVE it.

Beyonce's new one. I do like the beat. The song is kind of blah though. I would bop to it if they played it in the club. It's not terrible but not awesome.

GUILTY PLEASURE:

R. Kelly - Snake. The man disgusts me but doggone it this song is freaking hot.

The beat is HOT!! I think the REAL reason that I like the song is because of Jay. I am a BIG Jay-Z fan.

I still haven't bought the latest CD. I MIGHT purchase it bootleg or even a copy, but he's NOT getting one pink dime from me.

I posted in the Luther Vigil thread that I heard Dance With My Father today on the Music Choice channel -- very moving and touching song. It had me trying to remember if I ever danced with my father. I will have to ask.


While in the Nawlins club, I heard a couple of new ditties including Missy's "Don't Fail Me Now" and Mystikal has one as well that is called "Don't Fail Me Now." :eek: :o :p :eek:

I remember the first time I heard "Pussycat". I was shocked at first, but, it grew on me. I love that song now.

stupid question:

has anyone actually COUNTED young fiddy's questions? I am not sure how many questions are actually in that song... and for some reason that really bothers me. I counted 19 - unless he's counting 2-part questions as individual queries.. or he may include the "hook" or chorus of the song as more questions. :( :confused: :(

THIS SONG is on point. I am such a fan of Tamia and her ballads but this one sizzles. It makes me miss somebody and there is no man I am missing, but if I were, this would be the song I would listen to. :p :D

AOL had a premiere of a new song from Ashanti's new album, Chapter II called "I Found Love". It is the worst. :mad: It sounds like someone's demo. If this and "Rock with You" are any indication of what her CD is going to be like, her CD will SUCK!!!

Beyonce has a nice voice, so I don't understand what this Crazy in Love thing is about...the song is decent at best, and the video is a flesh parade. But I guess that's what she's going for. :confused:

Monica's So Gone is on point...I like that song a lot.

But Ruben's remake of Luther's song is really hot right now. I can't believe how great he sounds!! I was not a big fan on American Idol, but he has proven himself to me. Not everyone can remake Luther, but he did a GREAT job!:D

Well, damn! How many remixes can one song get?! There is also a remix with Busta Rhymes.

The one with Mia X is cool. I am also happy to hear from Mia again, as 2D stated. She was going through some things for a minute. I don't know if it has been released yet because I only hear it on one station. They had the exclusive. It may be out there though.

The new look, the hair, the way her songs are...just seems like that to me...

Any one heard 112's new single that'll be on the album coming out later this summer?

It has a definite reggae beat to it, which is cool, but it also uses Aaliyah's 'Rock the Boat' chorus as a major part of the song. I thought they would be more original since they left the 'King of the Sampling' AKA Puffy
