Anybody else have a really bad day?

Had a horrible day today...

The trouble with running your own business is the evil clients from hell. Seems all I say these days is "Thank you sir, may I have another." :(

Well, I am done for the day and sitting back with a martini, so things are looking up :)

I had a pretty bad one yesterday, but after sushi, ice cream and sunbathing in the park....I feel much better.

At least the client's checks don't bounce. That's what I keep telling myself......

You just got to laugh yourself to the bank . . .

I woke up late, got a ticket on my car, have sisters consipring against me, falied a Saxophone test, had my next teacher loose my test, and this was all before lunch.

I think this fits the bad day category!

My work day was actually pretty good. But it's now 10:11, and Mr. Mox is not home. The dog knocked down the trash can and ripped everything out of it, so garbage was strewn all over the house. Then, I go to delete cashe files and see the Mr. Mox has been a busy porn mpeg downloader. Arggg!!!

Rumor is that M proposed to some B*TCH!

Today's been busy.. Not bad though. About to get that way as I'm about to study for my math test tommorow (not my strong suit)

Today has been UGH!

I had so many things on my list of things to do today, but everything got pushed out of the way for one project that isn't even in my job description. It took all day to get everything setup for tomorrow *AND* I didn't get to leave work until 7 PM.

Then, I went out to dinner. We sat there for an hour and a half (no lie!) and waited for our food. We decided to go ahead and cancel our order at the hour and a half point, but our waitress tried to give us someone else's food instead of our check. We then proceeded to wait another 15 minutes before we got to speak with the manager.

It's days like this when I have to remind myself of Scarlet's favorite line "after all, tomorrow is another day... " :)

Had 3 hypoglycemic reactions (low blood sugar) in less than 2 hours, even though I ate about 1/2 pound of sugar. And now I feel so sick I want to puke but I can't. I am so tired, but I can't sleep if I feel this way.

One of my coworkers and I had equally bad days so we are going to get drunk and then I am going to booty call my exboyfriend cause he is hot and I have some sexual frustration to vent on him!

A person decided to jump off a freeway overpass at 5AM this morning and it screwed up traffic.

What normally would take me 20 minutes to get to work took me an hour and a half this morning. Ugh!

I just got back from the dentist -- three fillings today, and wisdom teeth are coming out in the next few weeks.

Talk about a BAD day....

Today sucked!! I pulled an all night because I can never wake up when I need to. Last night was working on paper and did something to disc. Would not open on mac as said it was formated to word when Lab #1 closed and I went to lab #2. So this morning in the regular word lab it said it was a mac disc and needed to be reformated and would loose all info. So i had to retype the entire paper. It was better than before though because i made the words prettier.

Then I called this curly hair cutie on sunday and she not there and i call again today and she was like "its kind of hard to call you back when I don't have your number" I think she was flirting. That was good.

But another bad thing that happened was at like 5 this morning i decided to learn how to play the harmonica and the guy at walmart purposely misdirected me. Why would a harmonica be in sporting goods? He looked like a cross between my dead granddaddy and my dads uncle (still living)

Any way, i got the harmonica.

I am having an especially bad night. Days like this I don't like my job. All of the patients we have seen tonight have been really, really sick. I complain when we have all these patients with stupid complaints, but I would rather see them all day long than have a day like this.

The bad part about it is thru the midst of us having our SECOND cardiac arrest patient in 1 hour, this guy comes in for cough/chest congestion, and he keeps asking me what is taking so long! I tell him that there are two critical cases in the back and he was like "Well, I feel like I am dying!" I am like, "Well, I understand that you may feel like you are dying Sir, but that doesn't take precedence over someone who actually IS dying!!!" THEN they called 'time' on the second case and the poor guy's family is still not here yet. We still haven't gotten ANY info because EMS didn't get his NAME from the family! So after an hour, I am calling around to all the other hospitals trying to find the family because EMS said that they were right behind them.

Finally, the phone rings, and it's the family and they are hysterical and lost. I am trying to give them directions to the hospital and they ask me if he's made it. I am not supposed to tell them that he didn't over the phone. So me stalling in essence tells them that he didn't make it...so they are even more hysterical! Meanwhile this man is still like..."Well how long do I have to wait, what...is the doctor sleep or something?" So I am giving him the look of DEATH! So the family comes running in crying, falling out and I am telling them that the Nursing Supervisor will be down to talk to them in a second...so they are falling out...they KNOW...but they want me to actually say the words..."He didn't make it!" So I can't stall anymore and I tell them that we weren't able to resuscitate him, and I am about to start crying...so the supervisor comes and takes them away. THIS INGRATE says "Well we all gotta go sometime!" I wanted to knock the shit out of him.

I just don't understand how someone can be so selfish and inconsiderate, I really don't! I really am sad/pissed/somber...and I still have 3 more hours to go!

1savvydiva 04-18-2003 06:15 AM

An hour and 30 minutes left and they just called in another code (cardiac arrest)...I really don't know how much worse it can get! That's four...two of whom didn't make it...:(

<vent>

It just gets worse... and worse... and worse...

There has been a changing of the guard at my client company, with the result that it is extremely unlikely that my contract will be renewed past the end of next month. So as of June 1 I'm back on unemployment. :(

I also had to suffer through two evenings with my in-laws for Passover. I'm beginning to think the family fight should just be made a formal part of the seder. My husband, naturally, sided with them and now isn't talking to me.

Life pretty much sucks right about now.......

Not just a bad day...

but a bad three weeks! Let me see if I can remember it all...

My husband found out that he got a new job (probably the one good thing that has happened), so we had to move from MD to VA. He started work on the last day of March, that Saturday we looked at a townhouse, which we rented. So it was hurry and box up everything and move.

The second night we are in the townhouse the washer starts making weird noises and smoking. Our landlord looks at it and changes the belts. We try and run it again, and find out the agitator isn't working. Enter new washing machine.

The toilet in the master bathroom is leaking. still haven't gotten that fixed.

The newly intalled shower door decides to fall in on me while I am showering at 11pm.

My husband's last paycheck from his old job is mailed out from MD the first week of April. It finally arrived today. I went to deposit it, and his name isn't on the checking account (even though we did the paperwork on Monday).

To get out of the lease of our old apartment, we have to send a letter from his new company stating that his new job is in VA. I had him e-mail his boss at the beginning of the month to have her send a letter. Find out today that the letter still hasn't gone out, to check back by next friday.

Have to turn the keys in for the old apartment. Mother-in-law is supposed to shampoo the carpets and turn in the keys, except she still hasn't gotten around to it.

I called to try and schedule a doctor's appt here for my next depo shot (which I need next week)... nobody here can see me until the middle of May, so Monday I have to drive 2 hours to see my old dr., and then drive 2 hrs back here.

I know that there have been more things ticking me off, but I will stop bi**hing now.

-Nicole

edited to add:

Oh, and I forgot about the car. While my husband was driving to work on Monday, a semi threw a rock up that hit the windshield. By the time he got out of work, there was a crack that went 1/3 the length of the windshield. The car is now in the shop until Tuesday at the earliest.
