The V-Card...
Anyone else still a card-carryer? (aka still a virgin)
|
[Kelly raises her hand]
25 years and darn proud of it too! And, yes, it's because I choose to remain so and not for lack of opportunity. :p .....Kelly :) |
i still am
|
Well its nice to hear that other people over 16 are still virgins, I was starting to feel like a freak being 20 and still one.
|
I still am. And I'm very proud...
|
I am I am! I made myself a promise when I was 14 that I'd wait until marriage. I am only 20 now so I still have a while to go but I am not worried about it at all. :D
|
*raises hand*
BTW, I'm 19 |
I am as well... just haven't been ready yet...
|
Anyone here have more than the T-V Card? Technical Virgin?
I am not sure the virtue of doing everything BUT that lol. |
I was a virgin until this boyfriend.
Most of my friends waited until they were adults. Some waited until their twenties and after college. :) |
*raises her hand with her sparkly new engagement ring on it*
We were 17 when we started dating - we were just too young. So we decided that we were going to wait. Now, even that we're older (and engaged) we've decided that its been so long, what's another year or so. We want our wedding night to be special and not just another go round. |

OOH ooh.. Me me me!! Pick me!! LOL Yeah...I'm not particularly holding out for marriage, I just haven't found anyone that I feel is deserving of that aspect of me yet. :p

Oh goodness... ha ha ha...

Okay, I'll admit that I'm the holder of the V-Card. I just haven't found that special someone.
|
I'm still holding the card...and I'm also glad to see that I'm not alone. I know a lot of people who feel "too old to be in the Club" and just kind of turned in their membership to anyone who was convenient. It seems kind of sad to me, but I was starting to think that maybe I was crazy for thinking so. I mean, whatever floats your boat, I'm not one to judge, but I tend to think that sex without love would be kind of depressing in the end, and if you've already waited 20-some years for the right time, why not wait a little longer instead of just giving up to get it out of the way? I don't know.
|
Are there any guy virgins? (If any of the previous posters are indeed male, I apologize!!!) And yeah you can admit it. I'd salute a guy who had the ability to stay a virgin, more so if he did it for religious reasons or personal conviction. So what's the deal boys??
|
Well, I'm not a card-holder, I was until I became legal and met TKE209 :) (...and that's even after a 3 yr relationship beforehand).
...this reminded me of what I seen the other day. I went to the health dept to get some stuff and this young little girl (she wasn't more than 14) and she was getting a pregnancy test. *oyes* ..here..last year a 9 year gave birth to a baby... |
A) I didn't know that it was possible for a 9 year old to conceive
B) Who the #$%@ had sex with a 9 year old?  |

As promised....I SALUTE YOU! :D

My husband and I were both virgins when we married. We are proud of it. It wasn't easy among all the wild sleeping around of the sixties and seventies.
I'm so happy that so many of you hold the V-card! :) |

and as for all the virgins on here, honestly, way to go, guys. i was hard-core virgin queen in high school....but then i got to college, and the first guy i dated out here shadily pressured me into the act. regrets are pointless, but i wish things had happened differently, i guess. -sigh- ah well....but kudos to you all. may you find true love and happiness in your partner!!!! |
I really admire all of you "V-card" holders.
|
I'm not now a v-card holder but I do have to say I was a proud V-card holder until I was 32. Part was religious convictions and an even bigger part was i was in high school right when AIDS was hitting the nation in the 80's. i had friends die from AIDS and didn't even want to chance it so decided to wait.
At 32 I had been dating the guy for 3 years and we just kind of got into the moment. We are in love so I don't have regrets about it. He is still my only one and hopefully will only ever be my only one. Everyone of you V-Card holders out there, stand up proudly and say that you are. I applaud all of you. |
raises hand.
Not really for lack of opportunity but it just hasn't felt right yet. |

So friggin cool you are!!! |
Card carrying virgin until my emotional readiness catches up with my physical readiness for sex.
|
Born again
I was until frosh year. A guy I was friends with took advantage of me when we were drinking, I'm convinced he slipped me something. That's all over now and everything's OK, but I am waiting til I get married to do it again. My current b-friend tries to be understanding but I can tell he's getting tired of waiting. But I think true love waits, so I am waiting.:) We're giving each other some space right now but hopefully it'll work out.

Trust me when I tell you that prostitution is one of the oldest and best regarded proffessions . . . indulge:)

Ladies, you must have some incredible battery operated devices.
-Rudey --Or you must give fantastic head! More power to ya! |
I personally do not hold the V-card and to anyone who still does more power to you... I applaud y'all for standing by your convictions.
My question for all of you that are still virgins, do you expect the person you marry to also be a virgin until your wedding night???? |

The hardest part for me though has been finding someone who understands my lack of experience AND is cool with it. I have a pretty open attitude about sex, so I'm willing to discuss almost anything, and I think guys think I have much more experience than I do because of it. And if there was any question as to how far things would progress physically with someone, I've always been completely honest up front and have said, "This is what we can do," and if they ask why, I'll tell them, so it's not like I'm a huge tease and would be pissing someone off. But it seems like guys still freak out as soon as they find out. And it's not like I bring it up the first second they meet me...the last one was someone I was seeing for a few weeks and he flat-out asked me if I was still in the Club (since I kept saying I wasn't ready to spend the night...and we had a total of 5 dates, so it wasn't like this was 3 years later). I told him about what I had and mostly hadn't done and he flipped out about how he didn't want to "ruin things" for me and that was pretty much it. I'll make the statement here for the world to see: YES, I AM VERY INEXPERIENCED. BUT, IF I HAVE THE RIGHT PERSON, I AM MORE THAN WILLING TO LEARN AND WILL TRY MY HARDEST TO GET IT RIGHT. IT MIGHT TAKE ME A LITTLE LONGER TO DO SO, THAT'S ALL. grr...:( |

Let me clear myself, though -- I'm not a total virgin, more of a technical nature, is all. (After all, isn't it a rite of passage in the military for young single men to pay at least one visit to the local bordello? That was years ago for me, though. :)) |
I HANDED IN MY V-CARD FRIDAY NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOHOO! 4 hour session of lots o' nookie! *sigh* I want Friday night back!!!!!!!!!! |
