Spring Fashion Wishlist!!

Inspired by the handbag thread and the fashion faux pas thread, I sally forth into the realm of desire!!!

1. One of the adorable new spring Louis Vuitton bags (but not with eyeballs, please... EW! www.vuitton.com)

2. Lilly Pulitzer's latest collection.. need I say more?

3. Coach shoes

4. New flat tap shoes and jazz boots, new black dance pants (For the dancer in me).

5. Skirts, skirts, skirts--I'm always a fan of The Limited.

Now, to find the money!!!!:D  Spring break is coming up and I am sooooooo deprived of shopping!

oooh...jazz boots...

I want new leotards and pointe shoes, but they're so freaking expensive!!

LaDolceVita03 04-06-2003 04:14 PM

My list is amazingly simple this season. All I want is-- EVERYTHING!! :D

Pink is gonna be my signature color this spring/summer--skirts, dresses, shoes, bags, everything. Plus I found the cutest pink Coach market tote (the bigger one) at Marshall's for $99 and I'm gonna build around that. I think I may try a pair of the new satin cargo pants too--saw 'em on the Today show Friday and they look kinda cute.

Jadey28 04-06-2003 06:05 PM

My list is pretty simple and similar to LaDolceVita03....

I want everything!!!

But mainly, I need a new bathing suit and formal dress for my boyfriend's formal the first weekend in May at Virginia Beach! It's going to be so nice!!!

I can wait for the rest of the items I want so badly.

33girl 04-06-2003 06:27 PM

Liposuction. After that, everything else is quite easy to acquire.

xok85xo 04-06-2003 10:08 PM

not really sure what i want clothingwise yet..but i reaaaaaally want a pair of the burberry black jelly flipflops..i've wanted them since last summer..they will be mine, oh yes..they will be mine. :)

I own a pair. they are very nice. :)

MoxieGrrl 04-06-2003 11:22 PM

Yep, I want everything too. It is my goal to look a little more grown-up this summer. I'm afraid of falling into the "t-shirt & jean shorts from AE" trap that I get into all the time.

I need a magazine to print one of those "all you need for summer" layouts. You know the ones where they show you 20 different pieces and a million ways to wear them?

33girl: No lipo. You are beautiful. :)

Jaggergirl 04-07-2003 10:33 AM

Oh there are too many cute things out there I want to pick up. I try to buy some nice classic pieces each season and then get my cute, trendy stuff from the less expensive places. I nearly bet the farm on a dress from BCBG this weekend. BUT I found some adorable shoes that will go perfectly at Payless, so I'll save some money there. Here are the shoes, I love these ankle straps, I think they're so sexy.

33girl 04-07-2003 11:03 AM

MoxieGrrl - why thanks hon! I needed that ego boost. :)

I want every pair of sandals I see, but I already have a boatload of them in my closet.

Steeltrap 04-22-2003 01:01 PM

In my dreams:

If I had $8K lying around, I'd get this Hermes Birkin bag in lovely Thalasso blue. Yes, although I'm a P&G girl, I appreciate other colors. ;)

Jaggergirl 04-22-2003 01:36 PM

wow, I can't imagine ever spending 8k on a handbag, even if I had that kind of money to spend. But you go ahead with your bad self Steeltrap!

For the record, I rocked out in my BCBG dress and Payless shoes this weekend and I was hott! I got loads of compliments out my outfit.

xo_kathy 04-22-2003 01:52 PM

I get compliments on every pair of Payless shoes I own! Seriously, all the time!!!! And really, doesn't it feel good to pay less??? :D

valkyrie 04-22-2003 02:06 PM

Steeltrap, someday I hope to have one of those gorgeous bags.

The item at the top of my wishlist, though, is one of those cherry blossom LV bags. They are TOO CUTE.

Munchkin03 04-22-2003 02:16 PM

The Cherry Blossoms I just saw for the very first time. HOTT! I want one, but really can't afford it. With graduation coming up, I need as much help as I can get.

I do, however, need dresses (at least 4--a formal, and three cute summery ones) for Graduation Week. I've looked at bluefly.com for inspiration, and I've checked out Lilly Pulitzer. GC fashion godesses--I need your help!

bethany1982 04-22-2003 02:31 PM

Coach Shoes

Sauvage or tna for the beach

Seven Jeans

Too much to list...

RedHotChiO 04-22-2003 03:37 PM

LV Cherry Blossom

I got mine in March. Although, I don't think I've ever gone through so much trouble to get a bag. I was on a waiting list for three months, before it finally came in. I think the best part about the bag is the reactions that I get from people while carrying it. It's a very stunning bag, but this one guy asked me, "Did you do that to your bag on purpose?"

I thought that was so funny.

I absolutely love them! Now, if only the weather would cooperate...

In addition to those, I'd love anything in the new LV multi-color monogram print.

LOL... you damn right! Especially when I know my friends paid three times what mine cost and nobody can even tell the difference.

ZTAMich 04-25-2003 12:55 PM

I need a pair of cute pink heeled shoes to wear for graduation... I have a pink & white dress to wear under my robe but I know a black robe and white shoes just would look silly on me...so I'm looking for some cute pink shoes!

Honeykiss1974 04-25-2003 01:01 PM

Ok, someone tell (or show) me what are jazz boots?

Hmm, I don't have any ideas for spring. Things come slowly here in Kansas. Shoot, a lot of the stores here are STILL  carrying those dag on peasant blouses with the long, droopy sleeves!!!

That kind of isht is also found in California. And I, being a basic/classic dresser, really get tired of peasant/hippie/boho.

Jazz boots (or dansneakers, they have a couple of names I guess) are a kind of dance shoe. I just got my first pair. :D

They are cool, especially for hip-hop dancing because they are more like sneakers and have a "heavier" feel to them but also they have a spinning surface, flat toes, and a split sole. That means you can do lots of turns and toe stands and stuff that requires moving your foot around better than in normal sneakers. THEY ROCK! The UPS man brought me mine yesterday. http://www.capeziodance.com/userFile...O_DS03_New.jpg

I hear that. Thank Goodness for dept. stores and Talbots Woman. Just got an ivory dress, very useful, from Talbots Woman on sale for $60.:D

Now this is a little old (was released Spring 2001 and is on eBay for a price I won't pay), but it would be nice to expand my 20+ handbag wardrobe. ..:D

Okay, why is everything I want this year in P&G? I feel like a traitor!!:o Someone needs to make royal blue and gold into spring colors!! :D

I just bought this cute lil Ralph Lauren straw tote with pink and green in it and I must have more stuff to go with it!!! I pretty much want everything too--I'm not too picky.:p This year, I decided to be "cute" by trying to get away from black and wearing more skirts and dresses, so my wishlist is whatever falls into those categories!!

I wouldn't mind some lipo either!!

Munchkin03 04-27-2003 06:57 PM

Okay...I found something I want. The new Reef dragonfly sandals...I really need new dressy stuff for graduation, though. I think I found something on Lilly Pulitzer, but it might be too WASPy.

1savvydiva 04-28-2003 04:19 AM

Hey Steeltrap, we were in Off Saks Fifth Ave in Concord Mills Mall this weekend and CT4 saw some sandals that were SOOO you! I said it is amazing how you can not know someone but completely 'get' their style! They were green but had a pink instep (or whatever you call the 'inside' part of a shoe/sandal).

Sounds great. I saw some Manolos which were too small for me (39.5) that sold for $46 on eBay. The seller said they offered "little support." Well, d-oh, Manolos are what my sister call no-go showboats, LOL.
:D

I know. It gets out of control sometimes. I've changed into a very "classic" dresser since I started working full time. I don't have the budget to buy all the trendy pieces AND stuff to wear in the office. But I do give myself a little leeway on accessories. It's a fun way to stay current without having to replace your whole wardrobe. So now I'm a regular over at Payless when I need my trend fix!

Legal Diva 04-28-2003 08:23 PM

Dreams can come true. . .

"If I had $8K lying around, I'd get this Hermes Birkin bag in lovely Thalasso blue."

This is for you Steeltrap--you know we could be shopping buddies!!!

The Hermes stores in NY and LA (I think it's LA) each have yearly sales. NY is in March and Cali is in the winter sometime. If you're willing to camp out, you can get a Birkin or Kelly for less than 1G. They also have scarves, which I love!

I've contemplated going to the NY sale for the last two years, but God must be trying to tell me something, because it has never worked out schedule-wise.

Since Hermes NEVER goes out of style you don't have to worry about last season's styles, etc.

good point.

I'm finding myself more and more interested in those "pieces" that are classics and never go out of style. I'd rather invest in that and leave the trendy stuff to Target (tar-jay) and Payless.

what other brands/designers do you think never go out of style? Has anyone picked up those style advice books and gotten anything useful from them?
