Whoa!!!!! lets lighten up the atmosphere on the boards there is hostility everywhere..... finish the thought I love greekchat because......

1. It is hilarious
2. I wouuld never know the latest celebrity news
3. It is addictive
4. Different opinions


I am sure there are more I just can't think right now! If this has been a thread before I apologize (shut me down sorors, and bump it to the top, I tried to search):D

These are the two right here!! Especially #2!!

Ok, here are mine:

1) It allows me to meet sorors from all over and "make the net work."
2) It allows me to form relationships with other Greeks as well.
3) It provides me with my daily dose of laughter (cuz y'all know y'all crazy)!
4) THE HOW COME THREAD!!!!!!!
5) I can make friends with SF's and not be bombarded with questions about AKA.
6) The music thread!!
7) The Pimp Slap thread

Sorry to crash the board, but I just wanted to say that this was THE best post I've read all day.

OTW, you have to post why you love GC!!! ;)

I'm sure I have lots of reasons, but being that it's 3:05 AM in Hawaii, I can only think of these...and because you practically threw the spotlight on me, I love GreekChat because:

1) It makes the work/school day go by faster.
2) GC allows me to interact with people I otherwise probably would not have 'met'.
3) AXO Alum. Read her posts and you'll know why.
4) Believe it or not, the gazillion HOW COME threads. I find myself reading some of them to my co-workers.
5) I learn more about different organizations, including my own!

Since you started the thread...
 

1. I was able to have a soror to purchase items (nalia) for me.

She didn't know me and I didn't know her. I sent her the money, she sent me my stuff.

That's something isn't it? All because of GC.


2. Females and Males from all walks of life discuss a variety of issues. Most of us have the common bond of BGLOs (as members or hopefuls.)

3. I am able to chit chat with those I'd normally chit chat with. (Am I a bad person for this? naaaaaaaaaa)

1. Despite the occasionally drama, the fellowship here is wonderful.
2. We all support each other (prayers, well wishes, etc)
3. The HC thread
4. The pimpslap thread
5. There are some CRAZY mofos up in here and I love all of them.
6.The RUSH threads. I went to a HBCU so reading how other glos do intake and the things they go through is very interesting and addictive. I get TOO upset when someone doesn't get a bid from the house they REALL REALLY wanted :( and get pissed when they don't come back with updates in a timely manner :p :o

1. You get to talk to some very interesting people, and hear different perspectives and views on a variety of issues.
2. You hear some of the funniest stuff on here
3. I have gotten some great songs to download from some of you alls music threads
4. I have learned more about Greek Life in general
5. I have learned what NOT to do (there are some people that make perfect examples out of themselves)
6. It was nice to hear of the reasons that some of the sister friends have for wanting to pursue membership into the organization they are interested in, and made me think hard about mine, making sure that I had my stuff straight.

Many of you have posted why I love GC, so I don't have much to add. But I will add this: Since I live during the week in an area where "we" make up less than 2 percent of the population, I love GC because it widens my Soror circle, allows me to meet other NPHC greeks and interests, and interact with NPC/NIC folks who don't act up.

I'm glad you mentioned that, Steeltrap! There is a serious lack of melanine in grad school and it's good to talk to some sorors and other people who understand.

9.) That I feel like I REALLY do know many of y'all (like, I remember details about your lives and stuff!)
10.) The opportunity to dialogue w/ intelligent, educated Black folks (b/c we're a minorty where I go to school :()

5. I like reading and posting Celeb Gossip.

I really need to quit saying, " On GC so and so said....

And the people I'm talking to say "who?" :confused:

It's like AA. I can come here with the rest of the addicts. I mean, Gina is on during CLASS??? You know that's an addict right there, LOL. But it's cool, cuz we all addicted. My non-GC friends think I'm crazy. But I love GC cuz y'all don't think I'm crazy. Well, you might, lol, but not cuz I'm an addict.

That's right! Hello, my name is Gina1201 and I am a greekchat addict! GC is the ONLY thing that keeps me awake for that hour and fifteen minutes of nonsense, I mean class!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this!

I love GC because we share our accomplishments with each other.

I love GC because...

People here make me laugh, think and even sometimes cry
I've 'met' some really cool people
It's a great stress reliever
THe ghetto wedding thread...enough said!
It's great to hear people share their accomplishments
I get to stay current with what's going on in the world
I get to hear a wide variety of opinions
I get to be down right silly
I learn a lot of slang and what's going on with the youn'ins today (I suprise my neices and nephews that way!)

2. There's some crazy (goofy and psycho crazy) azz people on here. There's always a laugh.
3. People who share similar views.
4. People who share entirely different views.

1. I have met so many wonderful sorors who range from intellectual, humorous, inspirational, motherly, sisterly, knowledgeable, etc. and they have made me appreciate the presence of DSQ in my life even more.

2. The interaction I have experienced with members of other fraternities and sororities, especially the D9 one.

3. The fun topics, the thought provoking ones, celeb news, the inspirational ones

4. The drama on here is fun too.

5. The relationships that I have developed with folks from GC.
