I am now eating healthier, so this weekend I bought fruits and veggies -- fresh too. :D

right after I started this thread, I ate the BEST KIWI. Yum!! It took a little while to peel that sucka though.

MANGOES! I love them. I eat one almost everyday. Also, fresh pineapple and strawberries. I am ready for the Strawberry Festival!

And here's a recipe for you fruit lovers:


You will need a blender

4 oz (1/2 cup) of vanilla or plain yogurt (lowfat or no fat) unless you don't care about your weight
3/4 cups of your favorite fruit(s) pineapples and strawberries seem to work the best
5 or 6 ice cubes or more depending on how thick you want it
1 or 2 packets of Equal or your favorite sugar substitute

Blend away

yummy...go for the on the go person esp. in the morning

All time favorite: Raspberries. Have you ever had a golden raspberry? Yumm.

Blood oranges.

Not a kiwi fan at all.

How could I forget blackberries??? There is a wild blackberry vine in the woods behind my house and you better believe that I still take my old behind out there and pick them in the summer time. Yum Yum! Brings back childhood memories

Another childhood memory is those backyard plum trees!! We'd eat them until our stomachs hurt!

I never heard of blood oranges.

grapefruit (both kinds)

pomegranets (I will seriously be upset if I miss those when they come in season!)

:rolleyes: :rolleyes: ....I love Mango!!!! Whenever I go back to Puerto Rico I eat them like crazy. I also love coconut and red delicious apples( but they have to ice cold from the fridge!!!) All these thing are muy bueno!!!

I totally forgot about those!!! I :D ;) those! You know that you can't eat them with a white shirt on and you have to be in comfort clothes to enjoy! My daugther and I eat those seed by seed. I will fight if somebody ask for some!

What is this? I've never heard of it.

When it is fresh it look like little kiwi fruit on the outside and on the inside it is a white fruit

But it is sold mostly canned and served with ice to keep cold and then it look like little peeled grapes, it kinda tastes like grapes, if you have an asian market in your area you may be able to pick up a can. My old roommate and friend who is asian got me hip to it.
