I am Irish and a dancer, however not an Irish dancer...:( Wish I had learned that over the years!

I hopefully will head out on my lunch to the parade here in NY! Woo hoo!

SilverTurtle 03-17-2003 11:43 AM

I'm not a dancer, but I'm very Irish. This is one of my favorite holidays!

Kevin 03-17-2003 11:45 AM

Hey, as my dear Irish father told me:

"No self respecting Irishman would EVER drink green beer!!!!"

Just say NO! Grab a Guiness instead, man.

dzrose93 03-17-2003 11:48 AM

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!

Allie 03-17-2003 11:51 AM

I am Irish and I LOVE St Patricks Day!

But I have classes ALL day long, tutoring, then a staff meeting, and chapter meeting so no boozing till after 10 :( Maybe I can just skip class and have a "few" (think moderation)

chideltjen 03-17-2003 12:19 PM

Though I'm Filipino, I'm wearing my Irish Rugyby shirt that my friend got from her trip to Britain to class, plus we're slamming Baileys and Whiskey all day, some guys have been since 7 AM.

ladyj39 03-17-2003 01:39 PM

Part Irish (other part scottish) and my boyfriend is Irish.

I'm not wearing green today (horrible I know), but I am wearing my sisterhood badge to celebrate the other important thing on march 17th... ;)

Now who can beat me for having the most Irish name on greekchat... mine's Siobhan... :p

Well... I'm only third-generation fresh off the boat! :) My late great grandmother (on my father's side) came from Dublin and still spoke with an Irish brogue 'til the day she died.

Green beer?!? Begorrah! The only true Irish beer (excuse me... stout!) is Guinness! :D

lifesaver 03-17-2003 06:17 PM

I'm half scottish. Yeah, were the uncool bitchy people of the Brittish Isles.

The only two media appearances we've had in the last decade is Braveheart, (the last cool thing we did was 700 years ago) and Trainspotitng.

Yeah, were cold and bitchy. Oh yeah. I think we were plaid. Thats about it.

OUlioness01 03-17-2003 07:10 PM

I'm irish but i can't celebrate today.....it's finals week :(

librasoul22 03-17-2003 07:19 PM

Okay, I think our ancestors must have been slutty. I am part Irish myself. Almost EVERYONE I meet (regardless of the rest of their background) has SOME Irish.

Tom Earp 03-17-2003 11:27 PM

English/ Irish!

Faith an begora, Erin and Go Braless! Rather kiss the Blarney Stone than your butt!:D

I just had to post during these last few minutes of St. Patrick's Day! I'm very Irish, and have a very Irish name. Shannon is my real first name, and my last name is very similar to a famous KD's last name, I'm sure most of you can figure it out! There's no O' at the beginning, but even some of my sisters forget sometimes! Hope everyone had a great day, and aren't too hungover tomorrow after all that green beer!

Hmmm...I think my name is pretty Irish! My first name is Erin, and my last name starts with an O. Plus my grandfather came from Ireland, and I have other parts of Irish in the rest of my grandparents. :D

Yes, I'm a proud Irish gal!
